MK3 Power Seats Not Working
Hopefully you can get it scanned before chucking a new part at it. Thanks for the updates.

Those poor reservoirs will take a few months to get back to capacity. Hopefully fuel will keep falling, does depend on many factors, I also remember the good old days when diesel was cheaper than petrol. Cannot comment too much on the engine debate, lots of factors at play there, best of luck with that decision.

Welcome, the hosepipe ban is a pain, albeit necessary. 🤝

2.0 TSI Engine Covers.
That sounds very plausable and is backed up with what the part catalog is saying. I did a search for 06Q-103-925-L and was suprised to see that it is mentioned 17 vehicles. The oldest is MY2015 (F) Audi TT. It orignally came with 06Q-103-925, dropped 01/06/2021 06Q-103-925-K has a STOP ALERT, meaning don't use (and remove ideally) 06Q-103-925-L has no warning markers

DGS 7 speed auto box.
Sticker in the boot (sometimes) In your car manual (sometimes) Printed on the physical gearbox Visit dealers for a full printout Web chat to Skoda I do believe KGV is the code for Superb II 6-speed automatic gearbox 09G that's "maintenance free" EDIT: Above code could be wrong, need to check against what you find.

I AM DESPERATE!! PLEASE HELP. ERRORCODE P0571 - Brakelight switch
It might be a good idea to post up every historical fault code you have had with the car, as you did mention what seemed to be engine management light on. Also, did you replace any parts with genuine dealer supplied, or aftermarket items? The filename I did post, is that the one you have to reference? Just checking off some possibilities.

MKIII Fabia battery type: only EFB?
Remember to adapt new battery to your battery monitor system.

Cylinder 1 Glow Plug circuit question
I could be wrong, but my understanding is the glow plugs are for very cold starts (obviously) but they also function in the emissions whilst warming up iirc. to keep them under control. I don't think I have ever heard of it being used as part of the DPF regeneration cycle.

Hi All
That's very reassuring to know, some don't change oil until engine practically seizes.

MKIII Fabia battery type: only EFB?
It also goes against their own SSP document. However, EFB is a choice for smaller cars, AGM for bigger cars. https://batteryworld.varta-automotive.com/en-gb/efb-or-agm-which-battery-do-i-need Bottom line for you is you can choose either for your car.

I AM DESPERATE!! PLEASE HELP. ERRORCODE P0571 - Brakelight switch
You first posted diagram 1/27 Then 6/15 (1.4 ltr) Looking for CAYC takes us to section 13 which you must follow as this overides the other sections as far as I know. Just checking also that you have the same file source also... S0057380020-Basic_equipment_-_OCTAVIA_II__(L0L)__As_of__May_2011.pdf

MKIII Fabia battery type: only EFB?
AGM's are designed for Stop/Start cars EFB tend to be cheaper, and live a little less time as a rule of thumb. Recommend you fit EFB, unless you have Stop/Start and you could switch to an AGM that was made for the job. Be sure to fit the same CCA rating as you have, and remember that the car will need adapting to the new battery ideally also with tool.

Octavia lll Stop Strat Error
Yup, always start with the basic checks and work your way onto the more complicated stuff. Check to see if you can locate someone close by, if you don't have any diagnostic equipment already. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/262215-list-of-vcds-owners-previously-known-as-vag-com-vcp-owners/

Octavia lll Stop Strat Error
As @radders567 has mentioned, the battery might be getting on a bit now. If that is still the original battery then that's really good, odds are you/someone else has already replaced it once since new roughly speaking. The first cool nights have been arriving, and could have took the last legs out from under the battery (enough to warn about stop/start faults) Try to get it tested to get a reading on the CCA value left in the battery. You may wish to locate someone close by with VCDS or similar to get a code read (if stored) to try and locate which cylinder(s) may have flagged up a fault due to the misfire. Could be a small break in a wire, that will get worse over time, in the early days it will be intermittant. Might be an idea to unplug each electrical connector to each injector if you can and inspect the pins for any possible corrosion?

I need help with sorting some computer settings that have suddenly just been lost.
I do recall you posted about it occurring. It might have been an idea to carry on the old thread? Anyhow, does seem like a momentary break in power causing a brief power loss that might be affecting the various modules, or a pinched wire shorting out. Hopefully they can find something.

Try to hold down the power button if you can safely reach it whilst driving for about 10 seconds, it's the reboot process. You might be able to get a lift from the dealer to home potentially, unless they have stopped doing that these days 🤔
