My car with 180Amp alternator was according to the VCDS live data, putting out 500W of power. If I was to turn on rear heated and front heated screens it will output 2,000W, rising to about 2,800W with both heated seats on. The idle barely increases, not over 1,000rpm iirc. Not sure if that helps anything, but might do.
  2. I was excited about the possible changes, but sadly I did miss the full wording as I was busy yesterday and didn't read new rules correctly. Mine are reflector's, but I won't be doing any conversion to HID/LED regardless of changes, I would drop in some better bulbs once the yellow candles fail inside 😆I find people fit wrong bulbs in these blinding people, lighting the top of houses on dipped beam 🙄

Ah, sucked in by Google, the brown envelope has done it's trick. Welcome to the forum 🤝
  9. Good luck Ian with the car, perhaps you need to run a 😸 scan on it?
  10. Looking good, mods are nice and subtle so far.

That's some low mileage stuff there, maybe some members would like a pic in the Fabia section.

  20. Welcome Matt, hope you enjoy your new motor 🤝
  21. Feel around each sensor for the pulsing, then you know where to inspect.
  22. Depends on gearbox... In this case 0GC = 120,000km
  23. A DPF should be checked at about 210,000km, and then every 30,000km after that (converted to miles = 130,000 roughly, then every 18,500 afterwards) As you get near to this roughly 130k miles, then it's time to check out the oil ash volume You should look for these values in either VCDS or another tool to gauge the lifespan of your filter Plenty of cars go beyond 130k miles, my own is at 145k, but it likes to regen every trip now to remove the soot. As it ages, it becomes less efficient.
  24. It will only do the update if you have ability to perform OTA update, that update version you are on 1803 is mentioned many times in the thread above by several... who then went on to get 1896. AFAIK nobody was ever able to update OTA from that old firmware. I bet you can now see, they told you porkies (or you was talking to the desk muppet) The update for 0135 to 0144 would have been the OCU module, which is why your profile has been lost. Now you need to chase them up to get the 1896 update applied to your infotainment system most likely.
  25. Maybe someone on Briskoda will know how you bring up and get the version information on screen. Be nice to know where you sit now for before/after. Example of the screen I was looking for, perhaps you have to hold down Menu button for a few seconds only?
