New Battery Needed??
Stop/Start will be unavailable for a while, until the car can charge the battery enough. It's sat for a while and needs a good run ideally, then it will work. Other factors of the stop/start at temperature inside car compared to outside, oil temperature etc that are factors.

New Battery Needed??
Did you turn the wheel full lock left and right? You may need to check and reset tyre pressure monitoring by holding down button, and then the rest of the systems should begin to activate once basic calibration is done. It might need 100yards driven or an ignition cycle doing after a run.

Quantum Platinum Plus 0w20 oil
Fair play, but it was correct oil. If you got new one cheaper, then perfect.

Quantum Platinum Plus 0w20 oil
If it's this, then it's pending 508/09 spec https://tps.trade/products/oil/platinum-plus-0w-20-5-litre-zgb115qlb03025 ACEA C5 And below the approvals, is this not on your cube?

Engine Cover Recall - TSI
They have already begun to replace covers on affected vehicles (Audi, VW & Skoda (not sure about SEAT)) VW for sure, as for poor Skoda, that's anyone's guess.

Upgrade to android auto/apps
It might be an idea to turn on the radio and take a picture of your software train. Hold down your Menu/Setup button for about 10 seconds to enter the engineering menu and locate Software Train information. There exists two choices to enable functions, dealer and pay for activation code, or you can use another process (wink wink!) to activate for free. You do however need VCDS or similar to enable Developer menu.

Electrical faults, battery drain
If you don't have the monitor, you won't need to worry about adapting anything. You can change serial numbers forever and it won't affect charging. You mentioned 18hrs back it didn't have stop/start, I think @nta16 missed that. You will easily tell by looking at negative terminal, and you would also have a start/stop disable button next to gearstick.

New Battery Needed??
One and the same really, AFAIK both made in same factory. Edit forgot to say, please verify length of old battery is 278mm (iirc) and then you will know size is fine.

New Battery Needed??
Good luck in your new job, I prefer the Varta as it seems to be doing a good job for many people before they tap out. I put a Varta E39 onto mine after 7 years, and it was not fully dead.

Dash dimmed, dials dropped to zero on motorway.
Do the basic checks of checking over Earth's on the car, there's lots of them. Check each fuse (take image so you don't accidentally place in wrong slot afterwards) Get a fault code scanner on the car like VCDS (forum has member list available) and see what is stored there. A fair few potential issues, but try to clear out the basics first.

New Battery Needed??
Brilliant, so it's an 096AGM, you can scroll back a few posts to see every question is really already answered. Fit a Varta, or Bosch (anything else really) There are links to Tanya battery site, and a few other places too that sell them. You should be able to drop that battery in and forget about need to Adapt it.

New Battery Needed??
@darwinjakeTake a picture of your existing to verify, odds are 096AGM is what's fitted.

Skoda Fabia MK III 1.4 TDI SE L Fuse Box
If you did need these type documents, you can sign up on erWin Skoda for free, and then pay 7 Euro's to download wiring diagrams and workshop repair manuals for an hour. You will have to determine which pages in that document apply, as there are several years covered. Best of luck with the future ownership.

Infotainment and emergency call issues
There are some recent reports of getting updates to the OCU module, and depending on your radio and version that "pairs" up well. The system needs harmony with all the versions, so you cannot just update one only. Hopefully a few members will post up their recent experiences. Sadly you need to push hard for fixes. Do you know your Infotainment software version installed? Usually hold down your Menu/Setup button for about 10 seconds to enter engineering menu. Look around for any details that can identify software version loaded and post back images.

Infotainment and emergency call issues
A few forum searches on the forum will sadly scare you about these fault's. Shame they played the ignorant card with you 🤥
