  1. Yes, it's a diesel, it doesn't have a throttle unless you mean the electronic accelerator pedal sensor.
  2. You're not used to three cylinder engines are you, they're all a bit uneven at idle. Nothing to worry about.
  3. Have you checked the actuator is working properly?
  4. I think it's you who's trying to start the argument Ken!
  5. Most Yetis seem to lumber about the place barely moving, they lurch from driveway to garden centre then back again. Definitely not the way forward I would say...
  6. Nah, they're rockers, always have been.
  7. The tappets are not in the head, they're in the block with the camshaft.
  8. Trying to get an MOT on a shed is always tricky, especially when you don't have any idea what you're doing.
  9. Start with the fuses and next time remember to disco the battery negative before playing silly buggers with the electrics.
  10. If you're getting the gearbox removed then it makes sense to replace everything that wears, so that's both clutch packs and the flywheel which is an awful lot of money on parts alone. How much is the labour?
  11. How did you set the stop screw on the turbo actuator linkage?
  12. How can there be no codes, you've deleted the EGR but it hasn't been mapped?
  13. No, I'm suggesting that making comedy YouTube videos isn't necessarily an honest pursuit, remember all those YBF videos that were so obviously setups...
  14. I maintain I would have noticed, you can't install them with the tailgate shut, you'd have to compress them slightly to fit them, whereupon it would have been obvious they were too strong.
  15. You'd think they'd notice when trying to fit them, I bloody would!
  16. There's no point, it's a blatant gouge, they'll bluff it out for arfur grand, just take it somewhere else like a VW independent specialist.
  17. It's insanely overpriced, take it somewhere else. Frankly an MOT fee is the least of your worries when the gouging is that bad. The parts are very cheap and it's about an hours work, you're being greased up for a monkey and I seriously doubt you need new suspension arms, I bet its just the bushes.
  18. At least you're not a "type", more a "typist"... Seeing your gravity defying walls of text makes my carpal tunnels ache, especially when the footings are often obviously deficient.
  19. I imagine you'll be overqualified, UK main dealers want mindless robots.
  20. Ok, so how did that happen, the pressure in the tank must be crazy, are all the coolant pipes rock hard? Have you tried releasing the pressure when it cools down?
  21. I seriously doubt it, imagine the pressure needed for the tank to split along the moulding line, the tank cap would release the pressure long before that happened. If you release the pressure in the system by loosening the cap the coolant level should creep back up again.
  22. Then you're perfectly qualified to give advice on complex technical issues.
  23. If you haven't overtightened it then you can reuse it.
