  1. my gf has the 1.2 105bhp model, its acually pretty nippy about town. could do with a bit more ooomph and another gear for motorway running.
  2. going to put mine up for sale if interested.
  3. i just changed mine, used this guide, took 1min lol http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/237184-how-to-remove-window-switch/
  4. how do you replace the switch? does it pull out or do you have to remove the door card?
  5. mine are on the same bit of plastic that the clip is on, where the pipe meets the intercooler (i think). mine got to the point where it was not lining up with the clips properly so blew off quite easily, tried everything i could think of short of changing the pipes until i decided to put in some screws, wasnt all that keen on the idea at first but it actually worked.
  6. i used 2 small screws, not sure of size, one at the back and one at the front of the pipe as one screw didnt quite hold it but 2 have worked, never had a blow off since. oh and yeah, definitely drill pilot holes so you can clear any plastic out the pipe before putting the screws in.
  7. you sure? my dad's vrs looked like it had 312's fitted as standard. he recently traded it in so i cant confirm it nevermind, i see you have one lol
  8. the difference with these brakes is night and day, 312's should have came standard on the vrs, they are standard on the newer one.
  9. looks interesting but think the back arches may look pretty horrific
  10. looking for a little advice if possible, my cars developed a rather scary grinding noise from the engine bay.. its quite high pitched so hard to place as it is a little sore on the ears trying to pinpoint the exact location. i think its coming from the Aux belt area, possibly alternator. its a horrific sound and only seems to appear as i arrive home from work, so seems to develop when the car is warm. never notice anything in the mornings or even when i have been on other journeys, this is the second time i've heard it in 3 days. tried spraying a little wd40 at the alternator when it was running to see if the noise went away but made no difference. a new Aux belt was fitted earlier this year so it shouldnt be the belt although this is not a belt noise but could be something that the belt drives has this happened to anyone else or got a clue what it could be? very worried that something is going to seize or break when i am driving, moneys a little tight at the moment and i rely on my car for work purposes.
  11. i put mine on with double sided tape
  12. i dont see the point of lowered cars myself :p this happens:
  13. 54 plate, 76k miles. 10 months MOT and 4 months tax lowered on vmaxx coilovers 16" porsche d90 alloys tints 312mm brakes strut brace been serviced by myself so no stamped history, needs cambelt changed needs a little tidy up but i have another car available so would be willing to offer a good deal. was looking for around £4500 but like i said i can offer a very good deal if interested as i just need it sold now. only have 3 of the original alloys and not sure if i have the standard suspension still as it was left at my mates garage when the coilovers were fitted so could be binned by now. *roofbars wont be included in any sale*
  14. wow those seats are red! lol yeah and my headlining is also black
  15. looks good, only thing i am not keen on with wraps is the finish isnt as glossy as paint. i saw a tt done white, hreat job on the arap but looked like a bad paint finish. i had thought about wrapping mine in satin grey but i'm selling it instead.
  16. lol mike, what is yours? your well old so must be tuppence :p my renewal is around £500, would be a bit less if i paid in a lump sum but i chose easy payments.
  17. mine is through admiral and they are reasonable. there are many factors with insurance quotes so getting ideas of what others are paying may not reflect in the slightest what you are quoted yourself.
  18. 10J at the rear will not fit. i have seen guys fit 9J wide rears and had to flare the back arches. 8J's all round would be your best bet,
  19. i hate this car, in this weather! had to get dug out of services by a jcb because they hadnt bothered to clear the exit and i got beached on the ice.
