Thanks for your replies, this is good to know. Looking forward to taking the 280 for a spin when it arrives.

Hi All, Just resurrecting this thread, had my order for my Super 280 L&K in moon white with a few options (not sunroof) confirmed last week by the dealer, I've been quoted 12 - 16 weeks. In people's experience is this fairly accurate? Are the factories flat out this time of year or do they tend to slow down? Got a Kodiaq earlier in the year for my wife (jan order which arrived in May), as it was a preorder and a brand new model I was happy with this. I'm not in no hurry to get it, just curious really. It would be nice to get it this side of Xmas

Superb 2.0 TSi DSG Fuel Consumption
Sw1 replied to BobT's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Thanks for sharing, I'm coming back to a petrol after around 12 years of diesel ownership. I'm going for the 280 engine , hoping I can get between 30 -35mpg. Doing mostly town driving and short trips now so a diesel didn't make sense, combined with the backlash on diesel and having to keep filling up ad blu -
Coming back to the Superb, just ordered 280L&K estate
Sw1 replied to Sw1's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Thanks , I had quite a few things go wrong with the A6. Constant sensor issues leading to critical engine errors, acc broke on several occasions and GPS antenna broke. We also decided to get a Kodiaq as it had more space for our growing family. It was a beautiful looking car in the spec I had with 20" wheels. As my wife mainly uses the Kodiaq and it always has prams in it I decided I also needed my own estate for taking the dogs out without having to constantly unload each time . Was close to the Golf R estate but settle on the Skoda as it seemed better value for money and spec wise. -
Really nice motor, hope you enjoy it.

I've just ordered a new 280 L&K estate with a good discount , was very close to a golf R estate but thought this was far more car for the money. 7k discount through coast2coast. After driving 2 litres Audi and vag diesels decided I wanted a petrol with a bit of poke, we also have a Kodiaq 2 litre 190 diesel. Apparently 16 weeks to wait but I'm not in a rush. Looking forward to joining the club

Hi All, Used to own a MK2 superb estate back in 2011 for a couple of years, ended up getting an A6 s-line ultra blackline estate. Wasn't hugely impressed and sold after 3.5 years. We got a Kodiaq edition earlier in the year but as my wife mainly uses it, I wanted something for the dogs. Looked at the market and was close to a Golf R estate, couldn't get over the fact it was a small estate golf. After having diesels for the last 10 years and given the bad press I wanted something a bit different, unfortunately hybrids and electric is not quite there yet for our needs. In the end, I looked at the Superb and realised I could have a great engine and the space and luxury. Just placed the order, apparently there is a 16 week build time which is fine. Ordered in moon white, 19" wheels, rear view camera and heated steering wheel with paddles, kept it slightly under 40k list to avoid the silly new tax. Managed to get 7k off list so happy, now the wait begins. I see from the brochure it has just undergone a mild refresh.

Ohhhh man, e-mail typo. They actually meant this month not this week knew it was to good to be true, still they did say end of May so if I get it this month that's a bonus.
-
That's good, having 20" wheels on my A6 I think 19" are a good size. I've just had a email from the lease company asking if I would be willing to take delivery this week....let me think about this
-
Nice colour , glad I went for the grey. Are they the 19" wheels, they look nice.
-
Great news, bet you can't wait. Surely must be one of the first to get theirs. weneed full pics when she arrives

Just spoke to the fleet company and apparently my Kodiaq Edition was built last week, just waiting to be transported to the UK. mid / end of April would be good. ordered Jan 20th
-
Just had an update from the lease company, apparently my Kodiaq is due for build in Week 12. Ordered Jan 20th , it's a 190 4x4 DSG kodiaq edition in Quartz grey
-
Hopefully mine should be built around the same time, ordered 20th Jan. also have to decide if I keep my A6 avant black edition, if so the Kodiaq will be used by the wife. I'm really excited by the Kodiaq but love my A6 also.

That has some nice additions, they are not even out yet and they are releasing new models. When my lease comes to an end in 2 years there will be a rnage of new models to choose from, this looks like the best from a practically perspective -
Just has confirmation from the lease company that my order has been processed, the dealer expects the car to hit the dealerships in May... We shall see.

This is one of the reasons I have gone down the PCH route, hopefully in a couple of years there will be better hybrid and electric options. As I sometimes do 400 miles round trips with work I went with the diesel, I have the 190 Diesel engine in my a6 avant ultra and it's very good when paired with S-tronic

Just placed an order for the Kodiaq, in the end I went for the 190 bhp DSG 4x4 "edition" model in Quartz grey. I've also gone for ACC (cruise control - After having this in my A6 I wouldn't want a car without it) Tri-climate Heated Front/Back seats Child Safety locks Canton Sound system Rear parking camera with sensors I have got this on lease via PCH, was about to make the final payment in a few months for my a6 avant and keep the A6, seeing the deals available and the fact I get a fairly decent car allowance made it a no brainer to keep my cash in the bank and go down this route. I usually lose interest in cars after 2 - 3 years anyhow. Also, the lease company told me their dealer has a cap of 50 cars for initial order, they should be able to get the order placed today and let me know either later today on early next week the expected delivery date. I would be happy if it was to arrive in May which is when I hit the 3 years mark on the A6...
-
Thanks for the replies everyone, I've decided to go for a lease. Having always purchased cars it seemed like the thing to do but researching on pch deals it appears to be a no brainier. I rarely keep cars longer then 2 - 3 years so I'm just burning cash, as I get a good car allowance I'm going down the PCH route. Now to get it ordered and then the waiting game begins, still have my a6 avant which will keep me going as it's a nice car.
-
Thanks for the replies , I've looked at PCH and had a quote and they look pretty competitive with the bonus of not having to stump your capital down and then watch it burn. When I got my a6 avant 3 years ago I was lucky to get 9k off list on a factory order, unlikely to get anywhere near on the Skoda but I was wondering what people have haggled if anything.

Hi All, I'm debating if i lease the kodiaq or buy, the car I've specced up comes in just under 40k at list, anyone know what the chances are of obtaining discount given it's so new. It's not yet on the usual sites such as carwow and drive the deal. Thanks,
