  1. Hi All, Has anyone else got this problem? On a cold morning the car really struggles to start, no issues on normal days. Today I didn't think it would start, never had his issue with other modern cars. Had it last year but forgot about it as the warmer weather came. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  2. Ace, we were thinking of doing Monza next year for the F1/GP2, we just done SPA which was great,
  3. Hankook are getting a lot of good reviews Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  4. Have no idea, there have been some threads on here about the same issues, search the forum and you will see more info. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  5. Mines 18 months old and I'm getting the same problem, I'm going to take into the dealers to get it checked also. It appears to be getting worse, when I got the car I had no issues. It appears to be a common theme, I drive my wives car and have no issues, as soon as I get in the superb my lower back aches. As soon as I'm out no more back issues, have adjusted the seat so many times with no luck. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  6. Just checked and the setting was turned on, obviously only works the keys are in the car Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  7. Didn't know about that, thanks for letting me know. It's a case of rtfm Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  8. I found a great alternative use for heated seats today, last night I took the dogs out in the car as usual. on the way back I opened all the windows as they love the breeze when we are coming home after a walk. I let the dogs back into the house, the wife asked for help with something and I forgot to lock the car and put the windows up ....... I woke up several times in the night as the rain and wind was really heavy but went back to sleep knowing I was warm and dry inside, got to the car this morning and saw that the front window had misted up. It then hit me that the windows had been open all night  Looked inside and everything in the car was covered in water including dials and centre console, went and got plenty of towels to dry the car out. Checked the electrics and all seemed find and it never managed to seep in anywhere. I then drove to work with the heated seats on full whack to dry out the rear seats with air con fully turned up, it was like being in a tumble dryer. I will always double check in future
  9. Just to resurrect an old thread, done a 500 mile round trip up north and saw lots of superb estates. People are finally starting to catch on Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  10. Glad its sorted and hope you find the right car for you Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  11. Don't let this put you off picking up your car, most have been trouble free, every model of car will have issues, some people will unfortunately some get lemons. I've had the odd niggle but nothing major compared to my last bmer. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  12. Hi, they just leave a card and attempt to redeliver Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  13. I agree with the comments on here, as I stated my Skoda hasn't given me any really problems over the two years and I can't really fault it for value for money , economy and general driving (I would say it's a great cruiser up and down). My only I get all my stuff from the ultimate finish, I have spent a fair bit there on things, the car shines up amazingly.
  14. Apologies for spelling, using my phone with Swype keyboard..... Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  15. Yep, I'm not debating the way it's put together, mine was built in the Audi plant as its 4x4 and I've never had any serious issues. Certainly far lead them my last bmw. I was just replying to the thread reference issues, as I stated I've been lucky to have only minor niggling issues. Recently I went with the wife to look at s mazda cx5, the quality in that was awful and I was glad to get back in the Superb. The kids sportage she purchased in the end is better but still not up with the superb I do wonder what the leather will look like though when the car is 3 years old. Apart from the driver seat the rest of the interior is very tidy, like new. I think the cream color won't look as bad if you can keep it clean Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  16. My 170 4x4 Elegance has been pretty much fault free apart from the following things, the car is now 18 months old but nothing major. Strange auto reclining passenger seat (I have just lived with this, it appears to have dissapeared after the last service so I think there was a software update. Button on hand brake has gotten stuck a number of times meaning I couldn't put the handbrake on(this was fixed Reversing dipping mirror doesn't appear to work, it's all quite random. Quality wise I think the leather is quite poor, it seems to be ageing fast. I use leather cleaner on it once a month to try and keep it in good condition. Also the loud speaker system is rubbish, I don't have it loud but you can here is distort badly. I am concerned about all the talk on the Columbus failing though, I'm still debating if I will keep the Superb and pay it off next year.
  17. Interesting, I also played A key part in he 3uk network design, I worked core networks doing the security architecture. I was there when it was a blank piece of paper and left in 2005. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  18. Mine is averaging 44mpg after 23000 miles, it has gotten a lot better. During my recent trip to Belgium it was averaging 47mpg for the trip. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  19. It sure was, we decided against cycling, we just parked near the track and walked a mile. The cycling would have been challenge given the route from the villa we were staying in was 13km climb up a very steep valley and it hammered down on the Friday. Highly recommended for anyone thinking of going, easy to get too and the Superb was perfect to do the journey in. Eau rouge is awesome in person Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  20. I was just in Belgium at the gp this weekend. I saw loads of superbs, especially estates. No elegance or 4x4 models though. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  21. I've driven to the Belgium GP in spa, via Bruges. I'm surprised how comfortable the journey has been considering all the back issues i've had with t recently. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  22. That's what I've found with my 4x4 170 elegance estate, should hold its value nicely for a few years.
  23. Hi All, Next week we are taking the Superb on a road trip to the Belgium Spa GP, we are staying 13km away from the track and thought it would be better to cycle then spend 3 hours trying to get out of the track in the car. Can anyone recommend a good bike rack for 2 bikes, I want a rear mounted one. I have already looked on-line, preferably I'm after one that doesn't block the lights or number plate. Thanks, Stuart
  24. Hi, You cant do that on my 2011with maxi dot, unfortunately the s3 into let you change modes, you can on BlackBerry devices. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  25. I agree , that's the one option I didn't think I would need. This was my first estate car, trying to open the boot with two dogs in tow can be a pain sometimes. If I could order again I would definitely choose the auto opening boot, I've used park assist once in 15 months...... Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
