£10 a corner would be about average, maybe less if it was all four in one go. Last time it cost me £25 for four, ring round your local area and ask first though.

The PD 130 is EU4 compliant, all cars built after Wk43 last year had EU4 engines.

These are only V-rated, original equipment is W-rated. And yes I know that V-rated are OK for upto 150mph, just that some insurance companies might not like it if you down rate from OE specification.

Major supply problems on DSG for all VW's. My dad ordered his Passat 2.0 TDi DSG on Sept 1st. His car started to be built on Monday. If he hadn't got it built now, he'd have been waiting till Wk 11 next year.............

After looking at both my dad chose the Passat SE 2.0Tdi over the Octavia L&K 2.0 Tdi. They were the final two in the running after looking at everything else out there.

My noise comes from the rear offside wheel. My car was inspected by a Skoda UK tech the other day for something unrelated to this (driver's seat rocking). Anyhow, in addition to getting the seat rails replaced they are going to attack the squeaking brakes with a VW repair kit. Dunno what it is, but we'll see whether it works or not soon

I have the rocking seat syndrome too on my car. Bloody annoying. My dealer wants the Skoda UK Tech guy to see the car before they'll attempt a repair or authorise a replacement base.

Oops sorry got my climates mixed up. No its not Climatronic, as that has the digital control with full auto function. My Fabia has Climatic, which again isn't advertised.

My 2005 vRS certainly has climatronic. I know they don't advertise it, but its on my car, I only noticed as the weather got colder recently. Not moving the temperature dial, the heating system started blowing warm air into the cabin to raise the temperature. I haven't touched the temp dial for 2 months now, and the heating system always warms or cools the car to the set temp. Anyone who doesn't believe me is welcome to come for a drive with me to confirm this. Oh and to answer the first question, yes it works with the air-con turned off. However on very hot days it will only blow ambient temp air, it won't engage the air-con itself, nor if the air-con is on, will it turn off the air-con when it doesn't need it.

Manufacturers are obliged by EU law to offer the warranty, the third year dealer extension from Skoda UK is a freebie offered by them to customers who buy a new car from them. The manufacturers also cannot insist you have to service the car with a franchised dealer, but they can insist that original parts are used. As for the Skoda UK dealer warranty, if you want to keep your freebie you go by their rules, its as simple as that. Skoda UK offer the third year as a marketing tool on the same basis as other manufacturers. You can disacrd the warranty if you like as its cost you nothing, but most think the value of the warranty is the peace of mind it offers should anything go wrong. Just to add though, the third year warranty is usually not as comprehensive as the manufacturers portion, there are usually some very important differing conditions as to what is and isn't covered. I suggest everyone goes and reads their warranty booklets to see what's what.
