  1. Looks like I need to start saving for a new car 😉
  2. Thanks all, so looks unlikely on my 2017 model but hopeful for @MartiniB 2023 model 🤞
  3. I don't dislike ACC, I travelled 2000 plus miles to the south of France and back last year and it was in the main much better than conventional CC. I have however struggled to get used to ACC when commuting on a day to day basis for many of the reasons already mentioned here. I would ideally like the ability to select ACC when I want and select CC at other times hence asking is it possible to code standard cruise control in to a 2017 pre FL Superb to toggle between ACC, CC and the speed limiter?
  4. Following on from a discussion in a different thread, is it possible to code standard cruise control in to a 2017 pre facelift Superb therefore having three options, ACC, CC and speed limiter? After 2 years I still can't get used to my ACC and yearn for the older style CC like in my old mk2 Octavia vRS. Thanks in advance.
  5. Apols to the OP for hijacking this thread, your new Superb looks amazing. I'll start a new thread in relation to coding standard cruise control to a vehicle with ACC.
  6. I have been to France twice in mine in the 2 years I have owned her and on both occasions I have had to set the time manually.
  7. Are we saying there is a way to have three options, ACC, CC and speed limiter? Can this be done on a 2017 pre- facelift? After 2 years I still can't get used to ACC and yearn for the old style CC like in my old mk2 Octavia.
  8. I went down this route in July. Cost £200 and although it is Halfords branded, it is a Yuasa battery and comes with a 5 year guarantee.
  9. Taken last week in the south of France after a 900 mile drive 😀
  10. Makes sense, thanks 👍
  11. I looked in the manual and it didn't say what type of battery they take so I opened up the fob, saw a cr2032 and replaced it like for like. I'm intrigued now whether the cr2025 perform any better?
  12. I replaced the batteries in both my KESSY fobs in May last year and had to replace them again this week so 14 months in all. Panasonic CR2032 batteries used on both occasions.
  13. To be fair, Halfords branded are Yuasa, they fit and code too with a 5 year guarantee. Absolute bonus if you found a £70 gift card 😀
  14. Looks like it's hit and miss whether you have two or three keys then whether or not you have KESSY. I wonder if it's based on the model year?
  15. I've got KESSY and only got two keys. Both chrome.
  16. Wow, £150 in March and £200 in May 😬
  17. TMC seems to be working again for me today
  18. I'm watching with interest. I normally change car batteries myself as they are relatively easy however I've never changed a battery that requires coding before. My battery is fine at the moment but I know how quickly they can go down hill so am considering my options this year. I was going to buy a Bosch S5A08 for £130 and fit myself but then I've either got to pay to have it coded or buy the coding equipment. Alternatively I could buy a Halfords 096AGM battery which is actually a Yuasa YBX9096 battery for £200 supplied, fitted and coded. I'll probably do a bit more research before deciding on the best option.
  19. Possibly not connected then. I do like Waze / Google maps with Android Auto but sometimes forget to plug it in.
  20. I topped up yesterday. The range said 1900 miles left, I topped up 10 litres and the range said 8000 miles so I presume I'll get 6100 miles there or thereabouts from 10 litres.
  21. Likewise, at least I'm not alone then. I updated 2022/2023 maps last week and it stopped working roughly at the same time. I wonder if it's connected?
  22. Hi, just out of interest is it possible to retrofit cruise to a mk3 Fabia? It already has a speed limiter stalk which looks almost identical to cruise control and also has front assist. Thanks
  23. I would be interested in these tyres but I'm Midlands based and not sure when I'll be anywhere near Cambridge 😬
  24. £30 to clear if anyone is interested?
