  1. Some will be very interested to know what struts were used. And that glue is about £10 a bottle, Lol.
  2. @mac11irl I'd defo check out that the gearing suits your needs...... What's your height??? As olduns mentions the super low gearing on the Kona you linked, but this is a 29er and I am not so familiar with these so it could be ok. It will need to be lower to make up for the larger tyre / wheel size. Mine has 22/32/44 with 11/32 cassette on 26". If you will be riding on the flat you may want a bigger ring but this should be easily changeable without costing too much. And if not riding the hills then lower rear gearing at the higher end may be better suited. 51 on the rear is MASSIVE, Bigger than the larger front on my road bike, Lol. (currently 39/50).
  3. @mac11irl HT or FS depends on intended riding but also budget IMO. What is your Ideal budget??? if you don't mind us asking.? Always best to buy at least a fairly decent quality bike especially if you are riding places where an accident is possible. So if buying new and you have up to circa a grand, then Hard Tail would likely be the best bet. Better option than a cheaper end FS IMO. When I purchased mine I was wondering FS or HT and decided on a full suspension, and very glad I did. I have done some very technical riding though, places where if you come off you will be on your way to hospital, if you are lucky. Very exciting though.......... Dalby Forest for instance. Luckily I found a nearly 2K bike on offer for less than 1.5k, in online bike shop, and Evans kindly price-matched it to £1350. Scott Spark 40 2009. You have to think of servicing too but the only thing on the bike that I have had to take to the shop was the Rockshox Ario 2 rear suspension. Everything else including the forks and the hydraulic brakes I have been able to service myself.
  4. I ended up putting solder on the contacts of my switch. It has worked ever since............. Possibly you could try a new switch.
  5. Ignore that. I see you have tried this already............... mentioned in the other topic.
  6. @Bledriapllwyd...... Welcome too...............Likely yours just needs the contacts cleaning in the stalk........ Topic covered a number of times Even reading through this post from the beginning may help you help yourself... good luck with it.
  7. Yes, just checked the version is 20H2................. I believe this is the very latest too. TFFT. Thanks guys.
  8. I will confirm in a bit but I think it has finally completed......... I took it to work again today and our office girl (Mariam) had a look again (after a conversation Re the version issue) and I returned about an hour later to an update message saying 'congratulations, you are now up to date', or something very similar. I need to check the winvic (is that right) re the version number but I remain fingers crossed, it is all sorted. It showed as all up to date this morning and we then ran a virus scan and all showed as good. Confirm later............. thanks for your time and info guys.
  9. Another question is, should I be worried at all security wise, so logging into online banking???????????? If not, I could leave the updates for a while whilst hoping Microsoft get the issues sorted.......
  10. Do either of you know (or think) that the version issue is likely to be the cause for it having issues with updating other usual updates,.?????? Off to work shortly so will read later. Cheers.
  11. @cheezemonkhaithanks for reply I remember seeing (whilst waiting for the updates downloading) something like Windows 10 current version 1903 and the new version available is something like version 2004.................. so yes, newer version of windows required. (I wonder if this is what is preventing other updates happening....... I read something similar online). But like mentioned, nothing will finalise or update properly. With the girl in the office helping me and I'm sure the wifi at work will allow for much faster speeds than I have??? I have read a good bit (dated late last year) with folk saying Microsoft were behind with this new version and a lot of people were struggling to get the version update.
  12. @cheezemonkhai @PetrolDave Thanks for the advice guys. I have taken the laptop to work and office lass connected it to work's wifi......... Updates will still not complete......... internet connection stayed stable though and it has been ok once or twice with my 3G MiFi.......... (Two generic error codes were shown during troubleshooting (iirc) such as 0x8000ffff. (I didn't see the other one). So....... we are now considering a (I think) factory reset to hopefully sort this out??????? NB during the updates attempt I was notified that the Windows version is out of date..........???????? Any correct, best and EASIEST solution advice gratefully received. Office girl is more proficient with Mac, but she is more tech savvy than me anyway, probably by a mile, Lol. Thank you. The machine is just over a year old purchase wise and does not hold any particular files or the like that I need........... HP15s-fq1505na core i5 10th gen.
  13. Osram are incorrect if that info is for the estate then Mac....... I confirm that yes, the estate takes all P21W bulbs, bar the indicators (obviously cos they are a different colour and PY21W).. And the ones I questioned that the seller said will not fit my vehicle.......................... Did fit just lovely. Cheers for all the input.
  14. New bulbs on the way so will update................... mine are all the same bar the indicators, obviously, cos these are yellow. Ta.
  15. Cheers. I have no phone line.......... just a mobile WiFi (MiFi) dongle.
  16. According to this chap then 802.11ac is fully backwards compatible........ so shouldn't be an issue with 802.11n I guess???
  17. I don't think I have a router.............. just a modem (dongle) I think
  18. Is that my dongle ??? Do you know how I would do that??? I have been looking at my dongle settings and do not recall anything mentioning either 2.4 OR 5GHz Please note, I have one win7 laptop and one win10 laptop, and a huawei Mifi 3g dongle. And I usually only connect one laptop at a time....... they have occasionally been connected at the same time. If this makes any difference. And the win10 laptop will RE-CONNECT itself, sometimes too, after disconnecting itself.
  19. This is the laptop https://www.amazon.co.uk/HP-15s-fq1505na-8EV40EA-Silver-i5-1035G1/dp/B084MJLXM8 I do see 802.11ac mentioned....... as the wireless type?????
  20. I have now checked the driver update and the Win10 'has the best driver already installed' it says. The switch off check box remains unchecked (so will not switch off to save power) yet the laptop still disconnects. It is quite annoying As I mentioned at the time of forced purchase of the win10 due to lack of updates for win7............. I was happy with my win7. @stratosgIf you still think it may be the GHz issue then the dongle says 802.11n but I cannot find the information for the wifi card. I have read your posts a few times. So still not resolved. Cheers though to all replied.
  21. I thought it might have been from your vehicle. I will double check tomorrow but unless I am going mad (when I looked earlier) , mine on the estate are all the same bog standard P21W for Brake, Fog, Reverse AND tail.
  22. Thanks mac......... where is that info from???? I will double check but I'm sure all of my rear bulbs are the same P21Y single filament. I will grab my handbook again too. I have already borrowed one of the reverse lights for my brake light replacement. What age is your vehicle.???????????? I see you have similar. I could see the hatch's being different possibly.
  23. Looking further at autobulbsdirect gives me two options..........566 or 382. The 566 seem to be P21/4W and have offset pins so NOT correct for my vehicle so the 382 must be correct. I'm going to assume the ebay ones P21W 382 are correct for my vehicle as I suspect.............. unless anyone here tells me otherwise. Cheers.
  24. Yes, I need both mac. The PY21W i previously purchased and intend to purchase again for the rear indicators are fine for the indicator fitting, as I mentioned. The Y = yellow. It is the fitting of the P21W that the linked seller says does not fit my vehicle. My vehicle has P21W bulbs also as mentioned. Brake, Tail, Fog and Reverse. So I cannot understand why it states does not fit. I just want to check before purchasing. I ask are ALL P21W bulbs the same fit. If they are then I can purchase from him, along with a set of PY21W. I have tried messaging the seller but says they are receiving too many emails to reply.
