  1. Lovely and standard. Wonderful Really pleased for you mate, you've got a good 'un there! 6 yrs fssh and mots AND 75k for 9 yrs great stuff
  2. Welcome. Lovely car - yes Jealous? - you bet ya!
  3. A quick vcds/vagcom assessment could help you know the depth of the problem before you go back to them. But to be honest I agree with me old mate mark's comment on complaints. But if you get the codes and work out the problems you may be able to get some evidence to prove they sold you a lemon or it could be a £40 sensor fix. My suspicions are they knew about the issues, light was on, they cleared the codes and it has returned. Cynical yes. Justified, you decide...
  4. Get it on vcds and see what fault codes are making the light come on.
  5. Hi and welcome, nice motor. Congratulations on your impending arrival in August. What your vrs diesel or petrol? I'd love one as my fabia is too small for us with having a 21 month old son and an adult daughter.
  6. Welcome and sorry to hear ya car's not well. If you need help with it post the problem in the Fabia I section, others may be able to help.
  7. Hi and welcome. Try the vcds forum on here, post your query and/or look at he vcd map on their to find someone local.
  8. That's what I was gonna say Unprotected ECU on the BNV - easy car to map Happy days
  9. Mine is a 57 reg fabia II 5J (new shape) but has a BNV engine which is technically an engine from the old shape. I'm pretty sure shark told me I had to go to an agent to determine it couldn't be done. I didn't like this approach so didn't bother. What engine is yours and what kind of ECU have you got?
  10. Think that's just normal. All my previous diesels have done that. Only difference is in winter it stays on for longer
  11. Hi and welcome. Got to echo what Mark and Longyear said. Remap all the way. Find a specialist. I've got the same car as you
  12. Amateurs.... That must be what you learn on the first day at dealer school - the limp excuse
  13. Welcome. You should use this area for introducing yourself and then post your query in the relevant section but nevermind. I found reference to the part here http://www.pim-engin...t/4%20pin-3.pdf Personally I would try and get one off a scrapped car, if possible, but you should be able to buy one from any vw group stealer. I just noticed a price in germany of 1 euro - so it should be quite cheap. Where are you located?
  14. Get someone with vcds to analyse the faults mate otherwise ya Pishing in the dark. Oh and welcome!
