Rear passenger door lock intermittent
But not as much of a pain to change as when it's permanently locked as happened on my MkI Fabia so I'd be getting proactive and looking to change it sooner rather than later.

2012 Skoda Fabia VRS - 17" Wheel Sourcing
The way I read it is he knows that three people have owned the green Fabia in the picture he posted which wouldn't surprise me. So owner 1 put those wheels on it then it was sold twice with the same wheels on it. He's also saying he'd put the same wheels on yours or putting on 16" rims. I don't know what size those wheels are but maybe George does. I'd also consider 16" rims with more sidewall if you use a lot of B roads or even if you use many A roads given how bad the roads have become. The 17" rims were too firm a ride in the vRS IMO but that's what people wanted back in 2010 or so.

Did the Yeti ever have a Heated Steering Wheel option?
I agree. SWMBO has a Yeti SE Plus with full winter pack (also the electric drivers memory seat and heated seats) and no heated steering wheel.

2012 Skoda Fabia VRS - 17" Wheel Sourcing
MkII vRS Fabia's were all fitted with 17" rims from the factory none of which are what's on your car. There were four styles; all Gigaro's with different colour options. Skoda-Fabia-RS-2013-FR.pdf Skoda-Fabia-2014-UK.pdf

Fabia VRS LE Register Part Trois
A lot of money for what is at the end of the day a warm 16 year old grocery getter imo. That said if I had the wedge I'd probably buy it and garage it.

Car Stolen ( not mine )
I thought the tennis ball thing was an urban myth though I could imagine it possibly working on cars with vacuum operated central locking.

Brake pedal squishy
Oh maybe. I've never bought a new car myself as I prefer to let others take the first big hit of depreciation and fault finding.

Brake pedal squishy
I'm in your neighbour to the south (Germany) and they change the break fluid every two years here for me which is what I believe is the recommended timescale.

Brake pedal squishy
Did the brake fluid get changed for fresh brake fluid when it was two years old?

Has anyone tried or installed the Koni Special Active?
Hi, Luisopas Translation for the community 👇 Hello, I'm new here👋, I have the following question, it is related to the suspensions of the superb. Mine has OEM suspension but Eibach springs, aesthetically it looks beautiful but the happy bounce is still there. My question is the following, the shock absorbers of a Golf GTI are suitable for the superb, it has the same platform! And another would be the following: what difference is there between the suspension that a Scirocco could have and that of the Superb. I have both suspensions saved and I could install them on the superb, but I don't know if they would work. Thank you and greetings, I await your response.

Driving without the engine cover
That confused me as well. Isn't that what the dump valve is there for?

Battery (1 year old) keeps going flat
I doubt what I suggest is the cause but MkI Fabia's had a common fault where the alternator load sensor wire failed resulting in not keeping the battery charged sufficiently. It's worth considering as from memory it was a relatively simple and cheap fix.

Digital Switchover 2025 - End of Landlines just 2 years away
Openreach were already doing OH fibre when I left in 2018 so I suspect they'll just use the existing OH routing. No difference in speed or anything.

ULEZ and other similar schemes we are being told are all about clean air for everybody but are they really just a means of making money from motorists?
Absolutely unbelieveable! Some absolute arseholes have used and IED (Improvised Explosive Device) i.e. a BOMB, to blow up a ULEZ camera. It's sheer luck that nobody was injured or worse. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-london-67653609 Vid in link https://news.sky.com/video/ulez-camera-blast-damages-vehicles-and-houses-in-sidcup-13025194 Pics via Xitter

Furry Bolts - Winter Wheel Time
I can't be sure but I think the furring is caused by a reaction between the alloy wheels and the steel hub and the wheel bolts. I forgot to add that I believe it's the same reaction that causes alloys to stick firmly to the hubs hence why @Warrior193 and myself use a smear of copper grease. I never bother with it when I put my winter steelies on.

How long do you think those tanks will keep a farm working? In the outback you say? So plenty of sunlight or wind available in Australia

My 2014 Rapid has never had an engine cover AFAIK.

Charge Door
I think the battery in question is the large 400v + lithium ion battery for the motor rather than a small 12v battery?

Columbus In German!
Well that's clearly not right. I'm out of ideas but maybe someone else will have another idead. Maybe it needs a factory reset but I wouldn't do that until exploring other avenues first.

OK that message says 'Your chosen languge is loading' so you might need to give it a while to load up.

Glow plug replacement 2005 Octavia
Should just be a deep socket I think. 8, 10, or 12mm usually depending on vehicl. You might need a knuckle/ UJ on the ratchet and some WD-40 left for a bit to sink in.
