  1. @J.R. gave an example of a component that can draw air in without that system losing fluid. Concentric Slave Cylinder. CSC. It acts on the clutch mechanism when you depress the pedal to disengage the clutch. Basic mechanics.
  2. I brought it inside and it's been on the floor for a few hours now and thanks to underfloor heating the warping has rectified itself. I can get some pics if you're interested and look into alternative postage methods. It's not an original Skoda part. I originally bought it off another member ( @Brimma) who I believe bought it for his MkII kombi to put on mine but never got round to it as I left the UK and sold the Fabia. I think it came from what's now known as Kopacek. It's all there with the bonding agent ready to be sprayed or you can leave it black.
  3. You're right. There's a lot of crud around that terminal for a new one.
  4. @vindaloo firstly sorry to hear about that and also to say glad you're OK. Secondly whereabouts are you and what's your ball park figure for a replacement? Perhaps between us we could all have a bit of a search and see what's available. There's a MkI vRS SE available but that's silly money. MkII maybe? Polo/ Golf/ Leon Cupra/ Audi A3? As for the Scala, I'm eyeing one as my next car. Probably the 1.5 TSi six speed 150hp
  5. AFAIK Trafficmaster ceased the RDS updates some time ago (at least in the UK) so Skoda are correct. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traffic_message_channel#:~:text=The Trafficmaster service via RDS,version of Trafficmaster was 3.1.
  6. Henry Ford built a whole plant in South America (Fordlândia) in the early 1900s but it closed in the 1930s as the rubber plantation for the tyres failed and it would have been too costly to get tyres from elsewhere (or something like that).
  7. Could well be. Maybe the boot has had the Citröen badges removed/ airbrushed out as it's a generic Shutterstock photo now.
  8. Pretty sure I've got one in the shed that I never fitted to my MkII Fabia kombi. You can have it for nothing but the only problem is the postage as I'm in Germany. PM me if you're interested. Scratch that. I had a look and it's warped and the postage/ customs etc etc is just too much of a hassle. Sorry.
  9. I doubt it. Probably far easier to just add your lad's address to Favourites
  10. You'd be surprised what a difference they can make IMO
  11. That ☝️ I do it twice a year when I swap my summer wheels for my winters. IDK if it's still a thing but when I had my Fabia the best bang for buck handling mod was a Jabbasport/ Whiteline RARB with a firmer and lower (30mm) suspension kit
  12. OBD 11 dongle and Carista app on your phone will cover most things.
  13. Well-done, Lee @TMB 👍
  14. It was nine years ago and Aaron hasn't visited the site in three years so I doubt he'll respond.
  15. 2025 ID2 . Not my idea of classy tbh https://x.com/SteveFowler/status/1735281418182300132?s=20
  16. Open the glove box and you'll need to access the panel on the right of it. Old guide so pics now missing but it should give some pointers
  17. If you can keep the video to under 50mb you should be able to to just insert in your post without any issues. Alternatively pics would also be useful. If you get stuck trying to upload any of them then feel free to message me on here for assistance 👍
  18. Alcohol maybe if you've some hand sanitiser still. Not the gel stuff that, the liquid with a high alcohol content.
  19. Skoda dealership or search online are probably your best options.
  20. Well, the government also allows idiots who film their self driving vehicles driving licences so there is that 🤷
  21. Silverlake near Southampton but I'm sure there's others. https://www.upickit.co.uk/how-it-works
  22. I wouldn't be surpised if you could go to a scrap yard and find them in a number of VAG vehicles for pennies.
  23. He seems to be living his best life. If he can afford it and enjoys it then what the hell 🤷‍♂️
  24. Hi. Any chance you could make a video showing us the issue please? Sometimes a visual reference is more helpful to describe the issue and we can all see clearly where the hinges etc are.
