DRLs not functioning
The coming home/ leaving home function requires you to have automatic lights (sensor built into the rear view mirror) to function AFAIK. Does your Yeti have that, John? It's normally paired with auto wipers.

Best cosmetic mods?
Try these guys. This may not be the right one for yours but they should be able to help further. https://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/products/whiteline-rear-anti-roll-bar-for-audi-a1-seat-ibiza-6j-vw-polo-6r-6c-skoda-fabia-nj.html If it's Christmas I'd also ask Santa for this https://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/products/bilstein-b14-coilover-kit-for-seat-ibiza-6j-vw-polo-6r-skoda-fabia-audi-a1.html

Best cosmetic mods?
What engine mods? Look, all I'm saying from experience is if you want more bhp then the best accompanying handling mod is a RARB.

Best cosmetic mods?
A RARB never hurts 👍

Best cosmetic mods?
If you're planning a remap I'd leave the cosmetics alone and focus on handling mods.

Remap for my estate
Best advice is ring around a few reputable mappers and avoiding any fly boys on Facebook or wherever who say they can do you a decent Remap for a few quid. They can't and those are the ones to definitely avoid. I don't know who the current go to guys are now but it used to be Shark Performance, Celtic Tuning or Darkside Developments. A decent Remap is what you want and those guys could/ can do that so talk to them or email them for quotes/ advice. A bad remap done badly by some idiot with a laptop for £50 is definitely not advisable.

Remap for my estate
You're going for what's known as a stage 1 remap. I've not known anyone break their car after a stage 1. Blocks, heads, pistons, turbos are all mass manufactured. Hell, even VAG use the same kit across various models with different maps to cater for different engine codes with different power levels. It's wise to do your research before remapping but I personally don't see you running into any problems other than failing to inform the insurance company.

Remap for my estate
No idea if the 1.2 can handle having never owned one but I don't doubt it can. I had my MkI 1.9 TDi on a rolling round and for a PD100 it mad 125hp without any mods. A remap then saw it at 154bhp and that engine was fine. Much grinning from the driver in his car leaving a few others with red faces at the lights (all legally of course ) So, hopefully others will let you know if the engine can handle it and I'm saying it's totally worth it.

A good idea or digging a hole?
I honestly don't know, John. I've not done a proper search for a new car or even a used one since January 2019 when I was after a LHD to replace my RHD MkII Fabia kombi. What I do know is I got a very good trade in price for that against the Rapid Spaceback I have. IIRC it was about what I paid for it in GBP but I suspect the trader had a buyer lined up for a RHD car. It was about the time Brits were leaving Germany/ other EU countries and Euros were leaving the UK. The other halfs Yeti is a LHD PFL which was in the UK for a while until we had an incident on the M3 with a disgruntled X5 driver who didn't like German people so it went back to Germany and was in storage for a couple of years hence the low mileage. She left it there and flew back and bought a RHD MkIII Fabia 1.4.

My best one's on the previous page.. Full disclosure. I was keeping an eye on the odo and reset the trip at the right mileage to get that as 123.4 🤣

Crikey. Makes me wonder what our ~ 100,000km full Skoda service history MY 2013 SE Plus is worth now. It's even in the best colour (Corrida red with black magic roof). Full leather with heated memory seats.

Scuttle panel drain holes bottom of windscreen (outside) and the pollen filter for the /C would be my first places to look.
