New Skoda have letters not the old round badges, and the New Design Language, they are not going back to the future until maybe a Retro Yeti style Cross over EV.

The service campaign was '34h5'. Check the spare tyre well and see if a sticker with dealer stamp, date and 34h5 in it. Or get a dealership to check. It was a software update, preventative against pressure issues, cracks / leaks. ,,? Is it a 7 speed dry clutch DSG you have?
  3. Hardly an unknown brand. It is a. Emergency spare to get you to a place if safety, at no more than 50 mph, and not for running many miles. Best change then for a matching wheel and tyre to the others if you want to continue at normal speeds.

Welcome. Refurbished MCU,s are available. Even if a MCU and clutch packs are required is your Yeti not worth at least £3,500 so worth having repaired. ? Is it a 1.2 TSI with a DQ200 7 speed DSG?. There are Accumulator kits for these, there was a service campaign on 2013-2015 DSG,s started on 2017, is that maybe why it supposedly got a MCU fitted?

Just a special car then. Making sure it starts going where it needs to.

Yes you need to hold the wheel and steer the car, as to gripping forces, tight grip etc, then no. Duff gen. Just be in control the small to medium car, it is not a Light Commercial, HGV, Bus, Fire Engine etc.
  7. These are available now to MOTABILITY customers with low advance payments as are the others Stellantis versions from Vauxhall, Citroen & Peugeot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSLGSOcLSF0 10 year Toyota Warranty when serviced at Toyota Dealerships / workshops.
  8. A 4 wheel wheel alignment and then an adjustment when required is well worth having. Done by a trained and experienced person. @chriskelland Who offered a 'cut price alignment' and was that a discounted one done correctly or just something done by an incompetent? ? Was the person that told you Skoda admitted an issue with the battery packsof the iv80 just making up a story, also known a lying? ? What pressures are you running the rear tyres at?
  9. PetrolPed and others big up Yeti and rightly so. But they never bought one with their own money, or bought more than one. They are classics, maybe style icons. But now early ones are getting scrapped. Going off the road as uneconomical to repair. There were ones rotten with rust a few years back due to the zinc inclusion issue. Land rover 90 and 110 / Defenders are being renovated and modernised and being kept running as their values a rising, sadly that seems not how it will be with Skoda Yeti as the years roll on.
  10. Hopefully those in the know will be along.
  11. Except not all wider low profile tyres do need higher pressures. PSI = Pounds per square inch. The correct pressure for my 285/30 R20 tyres on my BMW are the same as on my 205/55 !6 or 205/45 17 on my MINI Electric.
  12. Welcome. Kamiq have a PCD / stud pattern as a Fabia / Scala. 5 x 100. Karoq & Kodiaq are 5 x 112. Then we get to wheel size / width and tyre sizes.

The tightness of the grip of the steering wheel is nothing to do with anything. There is no strength testing sensor built into the steering wheel.
  14. There are other threads similar with PHEV Superb or Octavia. ? What wall box have you. As far as Dealership Staff and knowing stuff that means nothing really, were you talking to an EV trained Technician or some random member of staff?
  15. Not a common issue really or there would be threads here often on it with people saying composite dumps trays have warped. There are often cases of over tightening sump plugs.
  16. The amount of miles you do it does give you plenty of chance to experiment, and compare with your new fresh tyres compared to those that were replaced. Also to run in EV mode only to be able to hear tyre noise.
  17. Handy if you had said in the post that you are in Australia. It does make a difference. The self kicking can be activated and deactivated by a dealer or with the appropriate device. Cars do come without activated and not standard in all world regions.
  18. Full size spare is still an Emergency Spare even if the load and speed rating is correct but it is a different size tyre from the one on the other side of the car. Profile / width, tread pattern and compound. Non identical and the steel rim is different size / width from the alloy. . ? Where did you find tyre specialists, at a tyre and exhaust centre? PS, a good reason advice or stickers can be there is some people do not think, so there is stuff that goes about like Spare wheels, to different countries, continents even. Dry roads are rather different from wet roads, and the different spares might be on fwd cars or ones with haldex, and the circumference slightly different.
  19. Public charging at under 50 pence a kWh is comparable to me using an ICE car. The home charging and having charges at home makes the charging over 50 pence a kWh to as much as 79 pence OK, just but being able to get the Tesla charging in Scotland really helps. Tesla none Tesla charging off peak is costing me 48 pence a kWk at present. 10 kWh £4.80, 3.7 miles a kWh = 37 miles. 30 kWh £14.40. 111 miles. ............... South Ayrshire Council chargers, I have charged twice yesterday and today @ 37 pence a kWh, Minimum charge £5. So 14 kWh = £5.18. 14 x 3.7 = 51.8 miles. 28 kWh = £10.36 30 kWh £11.10 111 miles. (AC charging 7 or 11 kW is 31 pence a kWh, 30 kWh, £9.30) Home charge tariff. 6.7 pence a kWh. 30 kWh = £2.01. Local use maybe 90 miles and on a run 105-115 miles .................... Unleaded 139.9 pence a liter. £6.36 a gallon. 110 miles at 45 mpg = £15.54 Diesel 144.9 pence a liter. £6.59 a gallon. 110 miles at 55 mpg = £13.18
  20. Welcome. Have you had the car from new so 6 years of never working, or was there a previous owner who maybe disabled them?
  21. @Graham Butcher If you have a 80 kWh usable battery and choose to charge on a 50 kWh max charger putting out less than that then getting 60 kWh of charge can easily take 90 minutes or more. 27.2 kWh took me 42 minutes charge time, that was charging to 93%.
  22. First available CCS would not release charger. Available next to the blue Tesla needs me to get right back to the charger to get cable into the MINI. Not as s close as I am though.. The Merc had a girl sitting in it and charging for over an hour. She never knew there is a £30 overstay after 60 minutes. 8am to 10pm. Other cars have been on the AC,s for hours.
