  1. Since 2018 VW group / Skoda went to VW508 00 / 509 00 so 0w 20 FS IV. You can use VW504 00 / 507 00 5w 30 or 0w 30 FS III in a tsi if you want to.
  2. Welcome. You pay for Freedom Light and you can advertise in the For Sales.
  3. 3/4,s was a time to top up if that is you checking it at the normal operating temperature. Your cars recommended oil is VW508 00 / 509 00 is it not, 0w 20 FS IV.
  4. If plated then they must be first registered. But we are on 74 plates now.
  5. If you are averaging 500 miles a week you must be doing plenty miles with the engine running so the Long Life oil and the high miles should be just like running as an ice only. ? Do you have a full or near full battery at the start of each days driving?
  6. @mccririck You really best check that is correct for a PHEV with a 1.4 TSI. It is true for an ICE only vehicle. The reason to have the Service Manager or the Master tech check is for the terms of the Warranty. If a lease car and you do not care then just leave it, as you should have a record of who serviced the car and signed it off. PS. If they say Variable / Flexible Oil & Filter changes are ok then it is 18,000-20,000 miles or 24 months, not strictly 18,000.
  7. Just a normal sort of working guy that needs transport and can charge at home. Millions of the same about the UK. & some make videos. EDIT. It is 80 kW DC / CCS charging not 50kW max & 11 kW AC on an appropriate connection. 3 phase. or that would be 7kW on a standard home box.
  8. @PetrolDave Obviously it is not putting back in as much as is taken out, that would be perpetual motion. But as with an EV like mine today it was 3 miles per kWh up into the hills and glens and 4.1 miles per kWh back. If you get it right you can very much improve the range out of a battery with the regen, maybe not taking the same way home as you leave, if a circular route is available, quicker and shorter to get high and a nice route were plenty regens gets you back. Or if you live at the top of the hills then maybe not much chance of getting regen in if you start off with the battery at 99-100%.
  9. @MP74 if you had checked where the oil was when cold and you collected the car and then at normal operating temp you should know how much oil it used to get back up showing the same. Needing to top up oil after 5,500 miles is fine if you did not check.
  10. @Novascape surely if you are climbing hills to get places then you also descend them so regen and recharge.
  11. 2 degrees C and not a breath of wind. 3 miles to the kW heading up into the glens. 4.1 miles to the kW coming back. Giving a 114 miles or so range from 100% and no AC on.
  12. Let us know when you resolve the issue.
  13. I think you will find that there is priming of 1.0 TSI with GPF when the drivers door is opened. Yes the fuel pump primes when the ignition is on, but do not dismiss the pre prime until you have actually checked this.
  14. Flow Country and mountains are certainly a reason for a lack of chargers. Not a lack of pylons to get electricity to England though. What a load of guff while there are only 1.2 million EV,s and chargers going up daily. PS. Loads of chargers in Scotland are ghost chargers. Broken / Out of Service, needing replaced.
  15. Even if out of Manufacturers Warranty go to a Skoda Authorised repairer. A Known issue, a fundamental design or material / manufacturing fault. They need to own their failures. Get everything in writing and do not let Dealership staff pan you off. Get the Area Warranty Manager involved.
  16. Are we there yet dad? Do we have to freeze to death because there are no chargers available and you Rented this stupid milk float rather than some diesel that we could go 1,000 miles in without needing to buy fuel? PS Everyone of the Ev'ers here have had petrols or diesels. They are not New Drivers or old without a clue.
  17. @robcouch Welcome. When the car has been parked a few hours the fuel pump primes when you open the drivers door. (I assume you go in the drivers door, not the passengers, in a garage or something.) Are you dead sure on the battery? How many miles has the car done?
  18. @vojtay Welcome to the forum. Top marks on the thread revival.
  19. They can talk some total nonsense. If there is a not coming to the UK AC only charger, surely is will charge at 22 kW AC so you can charge at Public AC chargers. (There are 43 kW AC chargers in some places but not really relevant except for the few with compatible vehicles. They are not going to do Renault 5 EV,s for other countries with a max 7 or 11 kW AC charging. If you are stopped in D with or without the foot on the brake pedal you can use the P switch, just as with a MINI, because they do not have 'Autohold'. You do not have to turn the car off..
  20. The Ferrari driver is to blame for overtaking when there was a Skoda wanting to do the same, or is it just the Repairer, it is not Skoda though.
  21. A Mod will move this to the Kodiaq section.
  22. Welcome to the forum. The Warranty should not be void because of the DSG not being serviced. If the DSG is a DQ381 then it is not due a service by SKODA / VW,s Recommendation, Guidelines, Specification or by any measure until 128,00 km or so. If it was a FWD and had a DQ200 dsg then that has no servicing interval, and a DQ500 is not until 64,000 km.
