  1. Welcome. Petrol,s or diesel,s, Manual or DSG?
  2. Ibiza, Polo & Fabia are not the same as in 5 x 100. I read on the many websites that shown Octavia Mk1 that they were also.
  3. DSG servicing should have been done at 40,000 and 80,000 so next at 120,000.
  4. Many have the DRL switch off when the indicator is on. As to a Cornering Fog coming on, that gives a clue at least with those that do not bother using the indicators.
  5. I bumped it for today's new member with a question about a noise.
  6. Welcome. A mod can maybe close one of the threads you have started so that there are not 2 running.
  7. Not OTA updates for engine ECU updates though. As I now believe some have had. PS. Maybe low miles use. Maybe Skoda / VW UK giving cheap leased vehicles to get plenty first registered lower emissions cars . As they are now needing to do to get 22% of BEV,s first registered in 2024.
  8. Some here can maybe point you in the direction of nuts loosening off when they should not. 1.0 TSI,s.
  9. Welcome. Sorry no ideas. What age and miles is your engine? Has it servicing / oil change and filter and is it running 0w 20 FS IV? How long have you had the car? PS. I am not aware of the oil pump issues with 1.4 TSI,s. Which age of engine is that, and is it timing chain or can belt engines? EDIT. PS. I see your post in the MK3 Octavia section on the 1.4tsi. Nothing to do with your 1.0 TSI as far as I think.
  10. At under 3,000 miles it might still be their great profit maker that HMRC has helped them with as a demonstrator. They earn well off of them. If not then maybe one hated and punted or has rejected. So ask the try story of the first registration. Especially ask is any Software update had been required. If they say we do not know the history then that is odd, if they are asked and lie that is a serious issue. There are people unhappy with recent build 1.5 TSI ACT,s in other models. Nothing to do with the 2018 WLTP fiasco. More recent mapping issues.
  11. @keifrb A mod might close this thread as you have one posted in the Octavia section as well and getting replies.
  12. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/524893-mechatronic-failure-10666 @defsix Your thread might help others. As it is you do not show what car you are talking about or where you are here..
  13. Forfar. Was Dundee. It is not easy selling cars lots of the time and some have to work hard. The best salespeople that have done it for years can change Dealerships or dealership groups / manufacturers easily and customers that like how they are can be repeat customers. Even change cars or manufacturer as the salesperson does. As for Arnold Clark, 'John Clark Select' and others it is hit or miss. MotorChoice Perth IME are the dregs once they have a sale.
  14. They do not like sitting around not being driven. Then the DQ200;DSG can behave nicer after a bit of dynamic driving and a few miles covered. The ACT behaviour should not be an issue once the oil up to temperature.
  15. Cars feeling crap really is not normal. It can be with some tyres though. Low profile, too hard or soft. Then E5 super unleaded can make a difference. Especially with a 1.5 TSI ACT.
  16. Car sitting with maybe E10 petrol in it for weeks or months. Brakes a bit rusty. Only getting started and moved a few feet. It is an ACT. So drive another and see how it behaves. Did you or the sales person check the tyre pressures? They can be all over the place. They should be ensuring correctly set before road tests.
  17. If Skoda Specialist Cars Dundee, John Clark Group then the sales people will not mind if you say, i am rather busy and do not have time to spend on the phone. Just send the information. Nice to have it in writing anyway. They are friends of mine and not usually pushy.
  18. What miles and age was the car, was it a new demonstrator?
  19. I was a car sprayer / repairers. I did warranty inspections and repairs and corrections. Just looking close up at the pictures that looks resprayed to me. The person that applied any treatment to the bonnet will have known if it was. Any professional body repairer / sprayer will test it and know. So whoever you report it to needs to have a competent and qualified person do the inspection and report. Or first they take the pictures, the Warranty Managed can arrange the inspection.
  20. What do you mean by Major Service and full service kit? Is it a oil filter, sump plug, pollen filter, air filter and brake fluid? What about the haldex service, are you doing that? Edit. I see now in the link what you are getting.
  21. Do you mean you have asked a Skoda Dealer or Skoda Customer Services for any Service or Warranty History while Skoda / VW UK owned it & nothing much with that?
  22. Are you getting a good warranty with it? Has it got a Service History showing stuff done, stuff actually done, as in when was the first Oil & filter service? If it has a VAQ diff has it been serviced when required? Not that much difference from getting a used car that has been a fleet, company car, or courtesy car / demonstrator, possibly many different drivers. ? Are there any reviewing it as a track?
