Is this covered by paintwork warranty
Looks resprayed / repaired. When you report it to an authorised repairer and they measure the paint they will likely confirm not factory finish or even finished to factory spec. How old / many miles when you got the car? Ask if they have a record of their car preparation and any paint correction and where the cat came to them from. They should not lie.

57nl campaign?
Quite common they are not there with Skoda to not show Service Campaign / Recall Actions / Workshop actions / Skoda Secret Service Servicing Actions, that people might or might not find out about. Even Safety Recall once these convince the DVSA that they can contact Registered Keepers about but if the car is not into a Main Dealers can be missed.

Spark plug torque settings
Pre gapped when purchased. But still check the gap of each. Just incase some person already had it out of the box and took off the protective tubs and knocked it. Or you do before fitting. Not uncommon.

the truth about electric cars
They are putting out numbers and statistics that they seem to get in various ways, but basically without defining areas correctly. At a desk with computers rather than actualities. As it is it can be Rapid chargers that matter DC and then the AC. This makes a huge difference. As it is the total population of Scotland is nothing near the total population of London, but it is cars / vehicles per population then how many are EV,s. A third of the population of Scotland are in Glasgow and that surrounding area. Seeing a number like 25% of all new car registrations were electric might be true in an area where Cars are Prepared and Registered for distribution country wide for Dealerships, :ease Companies ect. Not for drivers in that registration area. Electric including PHEV and also Mild Hybrid which have no plug.

the truth about electric cars
@Winston_Woof You seem to have missed just how long Dindee has not only had infrastructure but actually BEV drivers, council. Taxi Fleets, businesses and private users including those with Electric cars from Motability. Why it is Electric City. Not shy in getting the money in from the EU, Dundee and Tayside. seeing as Dundee is only 67 square km with a population of under 148,000. Car registration are not Dundee City they are Tayside. Then there are Perth that is part of Tayside. The boundary to Dundee City is Angus and Perthshire and across the Tay Bridge Fife.

DSG green brake warning light
Many tyre fitters have no idea how each different kind of vehicles TPMS is reset even though VW Group are near all the same. Checking what the pressures are and resetting the TPMS after others have is just common sense. Before even thinking a battery replacement it is an idea to check the terminal tightness. Then getting the battery charged, or having that longer run.

Sorry no idea. But be sure to ask them, and why the Service Receptionist never explained it when you collected the car.

the truth about electric cars
There is an Article kicking about with statistics with the areas with the lowest take up of EV,s. Registered in that area. I spotted Blackpool, Orkney & Dundee in the top 10 of the lowest take up. (That can be a nonsense way to count EV,s if you go by First Registrations in an Area like Orkney but it has Used Cars that get bought and taken there.) Then i spotted that among the lowest number of EV,s per chargers they have Dundee. I need to get a proper read of that because someone seems to have missed the figure might be because Dundee City has so many chargers.

the truth about electric cars
Charge Place Scotland administered chargers are not reliant on a Digital Payment System, with many you can still can not use a Credit / Debit card, but you do need a RFID Card or App to activate a charger. There are SIM cards and poor connections. Where you can use a Payment Card is often more reliable. The System can easily go down and has. As to their new Payment System, i have 2 accounts registered to pay and both have taken payments and refunded me, yet presently they appear to have lost my details for over a month now and i am owing them over £100 and waiting for them to ask payment for this.

2024 Monte Carlo?
Welcome. Yes people have now had 1.5 TSI ACT,s remapped. Look in the Performance section. You are invalidating the manufactured warranty though. The DSG is a semi automatic and you can. Manual change if you like. Best drive ones and see if the 150 ps is not enough.

There is no 'Offroad Button' on a non 4x4. @silver50 do the understand Stop / Start and having that operational or not? The Hillhold Assist (Control) works when in gear, it is there to hold the car a few seconds when the foot goes from brake pedal to accelerator on a car with a DSG. Foot hard enough on the brake pedal to activate. Car on a slight slope.- Dacia Spring vids.

^^^ Robert just a bit too much of being a smart arse. MINI / BMW did not just sell 28,000 MINI Electrics, that is how many First Registered in the UK. She knows not the base or the cheapest. Smaller battery, least power, extras paint, wheels in the size tested. Sitting the charging cable behind the drivers seat is just Simply clever if rear seats down or not and stuff carried in the car.- Tyre pressure error
4 tyres or pairs of 2 do not need to be set at the same pressure so the tyres having the same circumference. You can set at what you want and the car registers. You can put on an odd 1 out SPARE of a slightly different size / circumference, reset the TPMS and in many VW group cars just carry on with no warnings. Some will have some functions disabled. But then using CC or ACC with an emergency spare on of a different size, weight, tyres compound / type is not Simply Clever.- 2024 Selection Model F5 Control Unit Fault
Welcome. Are you still driving it or are Skoda UK providing a replacement car until the fault is fixed?- Factory order lead time
Any production line might start twice a year. After the festive break if the factory shuts down and maintenance is done then. Then summer break. Maintenance, new lines set up for production stating of the New Models or revised ones for the next year. MY 25 models produced after the break this year.- 1.6tdi SE Technology Cambelt and Water Pump
@Roryquotes from Independents that do not even know the difference between a 1.4 TSI or 1.4 TSI ACT or a 1.5 TSI ACT can lead to quotes that does not mean they are going to be spending the hours required, with the parts at the price they are and using the expensive equipment needed to do a 1.5 TSI ACT cambelt. £750 is possible with none genuine parts and there are some even main dealers that honoured mis-quotes.- Visually etc. My car of the day -today
- the truth about electric cars
I am a 3.5 miles to the kWh type of driver on whatever bev I drive other than when trying to better that. Any electric car I get in I just work it out as doing 3 miles a kWh and anything better is a bonus. Reviewers pee me off quoting WLTP and range when they are driving like anyone else might and are not getting 5:miles a kWh. Pi$$ing down today. Good for my efficiency. Crap for going to enjoy a golf tournament. Going for a scoot round the South west 300 instead. So sitting at 100% and need at least 3 planned chargers to be working. Last 100 mikes worths of charging away from home had been £12, £12, and £9.50. that is pretty much the cost of an ICE vehicles fueling. I had to use a 11 kW AC charger for 30 kWh of charge and that took 2 hours 40 minutes. 13% to 100%, 12 miles to 107 miles showing.- Road Noise
An odd comparison of City Cars that might be in the Fabia class compared to a City Taxi sized Mk4 Octavia.- the truth about electric cars
@lol-lol 165 miles range showing with 71%. That was the driver previously driving economically that had the 165 miles showing. 52 kWh usable. X 4 miles a kWh is 208 miles. Lets say 36 kWh x 4 = 144 miles. If the 36 kWh was usable to get 165 miles would be over 4.5 miles a kWh required.- Insurance cost
I suspect that AI means that the Insurers recognize a snide online comparison search for insurance. They make an offer that then would lead to more questions before cover actually available to purchase. Is an Active a UK spec trim level that came up on the site? Strange no quotes for TPFT, but then many do not do that cover, and if they do it is no cheaper than Full Comp. - DSG green brake warning light
