1.0 MPI Break-In (max RPMs)
@nta16 Sorry no, but there was a thread here with them a while back and also in the Mk2 sections. The DSG mapping (DQ200,s) is different for the different power outputs. Just with the Mk3 Fabia there was the 1.4 TDI or 1.2 TSI,s or TDI,s. There was the limited edition R5 with a 1.4 TSI 125 ps, and now the 1.5 TSI ACT. EDIT. From a google.

2003 was a very different 6 speed DSG in an Audi TT though. Saying that, 21 years on the DQ381 7 speed wet Cluch that would now be fitted are having their own whole horror show reliability. PS. There are MY24 & MY25 Skoda models with DSG,s that do not show which gear you are in unless you go into Sport or Manual.- A/C not so cold.
It is good when you get AC systems like in your Stillo. But this is VW Group and not Audi or Porsche. If the temp is 31*oC or 39*oC outside then the inside is higher and you are trying to cool to over 25*oC less. It does make a difference. A Digital Fridge Thermostat is about 3 euro. Then you will know how low a temperature the AC can get the cabin too. (and tyre temps can get checked as well when doing pressures, maybe when there is a TPMS warning and it is a sticky brake caliper, or a bearing going and a wheel getting hot.)- A/C not so cold.
@VAskodas If you measure the temperature in the cabin when the AC has been on does it ever get down to 16*oC ? How much cooler than that do you want the interior? What is the outside / ambient temperature?- Will Passat Weathershields Fit?
In the UK sitting in car and waiting as many have to and it is raining then the window cracked open is rather a common thing and wind deflectors are fandabydozy. Sitting car idling with demister on is not really so 'Simply Clever'.- MK3.5vrs to MK4vrs... worth it or not?
@EldridChapman Do you really believe that in City Driving the TDI is 50% better for fuel economy? What kind of city is that, freeways and plenty flowing traffic? (UK winters colder weather and cold starts compared to Singapore where 19*oC as a low is very rare, & UK were 31*oC is not common.) Out on a motorway / dual carriageway in the UK doing the same speeds the TDI is considerably more efficient than the TSI. Real World.- 1.0 MPI Break-In (max RPMs)
The DSG does stay in a higher gear than some might stay in with a manual, but then the gearing is 7 gears and nobody is driving a 1.0 TSI or even a 1.5 TSI with a 7 speed manual. 1st gear is a lower and changing up sooner / at a lower RPM than you might with a manual. The Engineers do know what they are doing as they have had since 2008 to gain experience with them and then by 2018 know what they need from them and the engines for the WLTP certification. so a decade and now 6 years further on. (We will maybe gloss over the World Wide Recall in 2012 that exclude Europe (2009-2012 DSG,s), then the Service Campaign 34F7 2014, then again 34H5 in 2017 (2013-2015 DSG,s) , then the TPI,s 2015-2018 (software updates and upgraded clutches) , and the issues with 1.5 TSI ACT,s including with a DSG 2018 from the WLTP, software updates.) Long and short is if they are not as good or reliable as they might be by 2024 then that is how VW Group roll. The Mild Hybrids have what is called the DQ200-e which is just the same really but with the battery assistance involved with moving. Other World Regions where the WLTP cheater testing / results do not matter just having a good car you can get a 1.4 TSI non ACT and an 8 Speed Automatic. A great drivetrain.- Check oil level!
Mk2 Fabia vRS do not have 'Bonnet open' warnings on the dash. So if there is nothing showing as Bonnet open that is why. As to opening the bonnet. Yes the car needs to know the bonnet is open, to reset the Low Oil warning. Elephant in the room is, even when you do not touch the oil, not add any, the warning stays off for 100 km. Not Simply Clever, actually bl00dy stupid.- Check oil level!
@Breezy_Pete knows electrics, i know nothing about them / sensors. When you get a used car you never know what has been done before. Maybe to hide any issue. Did you check the oil level when you get the car? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/306306-word-of-warning-dipping-vrs-oil-level- Check oil level!
@Jackhodge998 Just do not put in too much oil, top of the crosshatch even when cold, if the light stays on then you know there is a fault. But you must have been running with pretty low oil by that picture from the dipstick if that was after oil first top up. The engine will have been pretty hot. You dodged a builit. Many never did when the Low Oil never came on. Is there no Yellow Oil Can light as well as that message? There should be.- Jonny Smith Late Brake Show youtube vids, some are Interviews and many will be on other stuff transport related.

The engine oil volume from 15*oC or so to 92*oC is very little changed. As we know from previous tests with Twin Chargers and official Oil Tests and weighing and measuring in a container and heating. The thing is the filter up top. When the oil is all drained and in the sump cold it is a bit higher. When up to temperature of around 90*oC and been in the Filter and around the engine it is not all back in the sump even when hot, and not quite as high. The official quantity of 3.6 litres is not much which is why some use 3.9 or 4 litres. Just be sure there is enough in when cold, and not too much, and compare the level when hot. (Not warm as the Owners manual said.) it is what the VW, SEAT & Audi manual said. At Normal Operating Temperature. The same thing has been discussed for years, same engines.- Fault code Skoda Fabia
Sorry missed that 2012 bit. ? Does it have a sticker in the Spare Tyre well showing '34F7' and a date the Oil Change & the software update was done? If a late 2012 it might have missed that and also the '34H5', software update.- Check oil level!
After the bonnet was opened the the Warning should have gone out after a little with the engine started. It must have been very low on oil if that was 600ml in and only that far up the dip stick. ? Is the Check Oil light out yet or not, have you got enough oil in now?- Fault code Skoda Fabia
Welcome. Tell us what engine, and is it the 7 speed DQ200 DSG? How many miles / km has it done and when was the car built?- Check oil level!
Too low. Get it to the top of the cross hatch when topping up cold.- Check oil level!
They stopped fitting the CAVE engines late summer 2012. Then it is CTHE engines fitted. When you do the next oil and filter change i would go with 5w 40 FS oil, That is not long life, so annual / 9,400 miles oil and filter changes. it is VW502 00 spec.- Check oil level!
What is it, a 2010-12 CAVE, or 2012-2014 CTHE?- Check oil level!
I doubt it is the Oil filter on too tight, or the old seal left on and a new one. That is usually the Low oil Pressure warning you get. So if when the engine and oil is hot and parked and flat and engine off a few minutes (4-5 mins) the oil should be just above the cross hatch, or at the top of it. *** One time i did an oil change and put in Mobile 1 5w 30 FS III, took it for a blast and oil light and message. It was sh!te hooky oil that the guy had given me that he had got from it falling off the back of a lorry. A punch in the face hurt. him.***- Check oil level!
Where was the oil when you stopped to put oil in? It can be at the orange ball before a warning on some twinchargers. I always run with 3.9 litres in from an oil and filter change. That was cold dip oil at the top of the crosshatch and on the flat part, below the top orange bit. As it is 1 - 1.3 litres low from 3.6 litres can sometimes have the Low Oil Pressure light (Red Can) on before the Low Oil Level (yellow Can). What oil filter is fitted, a black one or a silver VW/Audi one?- Check oil level!
A couple of minutes is fine. When was the oil last checked before the warning and at the right level checked at Normal Operating Temperature. & where is it on the dip stick when checked cold? *If you open the bonnet and had not put in oil it would still put the warning light / message out for 100 km / 62 miles.* So what engine have you. 1.2 or 1.4 TSi? 600 ml might not be enough oil when checked at Normal Operating Temperature. A 1.4 TSI Twincharger can be 1.3 litres low and the light / warning come on. Dip it when stone cold, and again after the oil has got to 90*oC and you have parked for a few minutes.- Towing Tyre Pressures with Karoq Sportline 19" Wheels.
@MikeMann Nail on head. It is always recommended. Make your own commitment to what pressure you go with. You said 19" wheels, we can look at the tyre sizes, and recommended pressures, no idea what tyres are on your car though, i assume XL,s. Do not go to high, and if you think you need to reduce them do that. & have a good tyre pressure gauge.- AdBlue system on diesel Karoq?

@Berisford The Mandatory EU limiters from the 7th July have 3 types of system. You have the least intrusive. next is over the limited you need to put more pressure on the accelerator and the most intrusive is the power is reduced to reduce the vehicles. Like at an Indoor Karting track kart can be. - 1.0 MPI Break-In (max RPMs)
