the truth about electric cars
How often do you hear 'i can not believe my own eyes', or 'I can not believe i did that'. Just sayings. But anyway, believe or believe not any damn thing you like. Some do not even believe things their nearest or dearest tell them so why would they believe someone they have never meet or maybe even heard of before they read or heard something from them. They, as in everyone is at it, or not at it. 'Believe me'.

2015 Scout - Odd bearing noise
There can be different reasons for what different people hear or feel and inspection and diagnosis of the particular vehicle is needed. There can not be a definitive answer when there are different possible causes.

big brake kit on skoda scala
@SteffLimitless Is there any possibility of you doing a Build thread in the Project section? There have been many asking in the past years on remapping 1.5 TSI ACT,s to stage 1. This is the first i have seen where someone has one with Stage 2.

Question re advertising Yeti wheels
It is a small amount you have to pay to advertise on BRISKODA. As it is if you paid for membership that is more, but supports the forum.

the truth about electric cars
@Graham Butcher Do you have search engine failure today? It is the issue growing among the maybe tens of thousands even into the millions of DQ381,s used in various applications. Failures in Warranty and out of warranty and growing. Maybe a small percentage. But it is how the Manufacturer deals with the paying customers that matter. The issue might grow to be bigger than the issues there were with DQ200,s & that there can still be.

the truth about electric cars
The big issue looming for VW Group are DQ381 DSG premature failures. Maybe it will be a Government Agency or Court outwith the EU or Europe that will have them sort their sh-1t. Then the little stuff that they just can not get right generation after generation of models. They really do need partners when it comes to EV,s as they have quite a bit of catching up to do and getting new models out and virtually issue free, and if there are snagging faults address them ASAP. Maybe listen to the customers that can pick up on what those that signed off vehicles seem unable to. SKODA need to own this issue with PHEV,s. Unreal how customers are being let down by After Sales / Warranty work and lemons. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/521326-locking-pin-for-ev-cable-will-not-engage-followed-by-complete-12v-battery-failure

the truth about electric cars
Skoda have been building cars for 125 years. I know they are owned by VW who was only founded in 1937. By now Skoda should be able to keep H2o out of vehicle cabins considering they do not build convertibles. They should be able to tell the VW Senior Management / Board that they can not longer accept crap parts and then sell cars with them. Vorsprung Durch Technik. Learn by mistakes, and then sort out your sh-1t.

Coasting & ECO Mode
The point is the choice is there and if it works for you you can use it. Strange that you over speed when all it does is keeping you rolling along. If on a descent then you can have control as you want and plenty do not use brake pedals. I have never had coasting enabled and having any vehicle with it running away and i do not touch the brake pedal to engage gear, i touch the accelerator and if i want to change down a gear use the shifter or the paddles. Semi Automatic / DSG,s. Simply clever and gives choices.

Coasting & ECO Mode
@Bap33 I see what you mean, the OP,s neighbours car, which was a different kettle of fish. Not the same car being a 2016 and the OPs using the newer engine management and gearbox.
-
This can’t be normal right?
@J.R. Costs nothing to ask someone about the oil in the engine and be sure it is not overfilled or getting diluted with diesel. As it is the OP never even said what engine they had and you needed to download a video to see what it was and what was going on. We are not all Derren Brown.

Coasting & ECO Mode
^^^ Right there is a different vehicle. a 6 speed DSG and not a 7 speed as the OP has.

1.5 Tsi Power Cutting Out
The 2018/19 issue was then this is now. The early stuff does not really have relevance. Other thn how long they denied there were issues. Unsafe cars. They even had ones off the road for months and people driving loan cars. Last year they managed apparently to build and then sell to people vehicles having issues. They must have been messing about with Engine Management so you need Skoda / VW Group to accept that there are issues now with year old or less cars.

This can’t be normal right?
Where was that. Top of the cross hatch area? What is it a 1.6 TDI?

About to buy 2020 superb 2.0 TSI sportline plus DSG
Sadly ARNOLD CLARK is an issue only too often. Can you say where it is now, as in which part of the UK? So not a SKODA APPROVED CAR. So what is missing in the service history that stopped it being one? Maybe best leave someone else to touch it with their barge pole.
-
This can’t be normal right?
And was the oil level correct after the service, checked cold and checked @ operating temperature? The level was not rising as it got diluted with diesel was it? Was it VW504 00 / 507 00 used at the service. 5w 30 FS III

@lew1232 Welcome. So is 'this engine' a TDI. EDIT. I see yes.

Coasting & ECO Mode
Go with like by like as in a 2019/ 2020 2.0 litre with the same DSG. Post WLTP Vertification. Forget what earlier ones by a year or 2, or 3 Some being Pre-WLTP Certification. & also ones that might have and 1,6 TDi,s with DQ200 DSG.

About to buy 2020 superb 2.0 TSI sportline plus DSG
@Gaz posted this earlier in the About to buy a Skoda section. Very handy to have. Be sure they are doing as they should. Not just expecting where it came from to have done.

About to buy 2020 superb 2.0 TSI sportline plus DSG
No problems then. The Technician opening the bonnet to see the car arriving from where ever is A1 can move their eyes to where the heat mat should be. Then fit the upgrade if required. ? Which dealership group is moving it from one place to another? Where are you in the country? Get the Service history certificate. Get the history of any Warranty Work, Service Campaign work etc. Ask as many questions as come to mind. They charge a premium for Approved Used Cars. The car should be finished to a high standard. Correctly serviced....

1.2 TSI swap for 1.4 TSI + Up platting?
You are not going to get it Up Plated even if you find people advertising that they can. As to the 1.4 TSI engine, ECU etc, is that coming from some crashed vehicle? A 150 ps one?

Welcome. Is it a SKODA APPROVED USED CAR? The RIGOROUS CHECKS SHOULD BE DONE. For the Warranty they are putting on it. The CAR SERVICED TO THE MANUFACTURERS GUIDELINES, RECOMMENDATIONS, SCHEDULES or SPECIFICATION. EDIT. I see you have taken the optional 2 year warranty. What were you getting, only 12 months? Which recall? ask, Engine Cover, DSG mat Recall or both or something else? AdBlue is for diesels not petrols. If it has a cambelt VW / Skoda changed the Replacement to 180,000 miles / 15 years if people want to go that long. It is a timing chain is it not! HALDEX / AWD Service, @ 3 years / 30,000 miles. For DQ381,s the DSG Service is at 80,000 miles, or sooner if someone wants. Oil change intervals are Variable @ 18,000-20,000 miles / 24 months unless changed to Fixed & 9,400 miles, 12 months. Spark plugs are due replacing at 4 years or 40,000 miles. Pollen Filter every 2 years or sooner. Air Filter supposedly at 6 years. Should be inspected at each service and replaced when required. Brake fluid at 3 years then each 2 years.

the truth about electric cars
There are EV drivers that could not care less about overstay charged be that £10 or 30 or £1 a minute they just charge until they are returning or maybe u till full. This has 29 % to go and is already 15 minutes over max charging time. 50 kW charger.
