  1. We have that. It is the damn obvious thing. Filling up at filling stations is easy.
  2. If it had been a Taycan it would be half way into the space next to the office door. It does show just how big medium sized crossovers are, or how low proper Porsche are.
  3. There is more help being offered to get people in EV,s in the USA in the way of tax credits. But for EV,s assembled in the USA.
  4. @Gaz Is it a pretty big battery in the boot? They can give up the ghost pretty quickly when they are getting to end of life. Be aware of the Alarm on them. 12 years seems to be about the life of them and obviously some might last longer, or might have been replaced by now.
  5. The Public Charger issue might be worse in Scotland than in RoUk due to SWARCO / Charge Place Scotland and maintenance of some of the 32 local authorities chargers and the Administration of Charge Place Scotland run by SWARCO. Also BP Pulse Chargers and their maintenance of chargers on their network and as part of CPS / Local Authorities. PS I am about to call CPS yet again to see why my e-mails are ignored other than an auto reply that they will look at them in 48 hours. 2 weeks and no call or e-mail contact from them. I want a payment refunded that should never have been taken. PPS Got through quick on phone today. Supposedly will be sorted out. They have caught up with the cluster **** that had people locked out of accounts, info lost, over charges etc.
  6. Yes the DSG would be a DQ381 which sadly does not necessarily mean this is a good thing. 80,000 miles service intervals on them but no way would i leave that long. A Warranty that covers the DSG is of the greatest of importance IMO. For the 1st year buying used, and then being able to buy an extended one.
  7. Give the REDEX a miss. Better just use E5, even Sainsbury Super Unleaded 97 min. Mileage hardly matters with Air Filters it is location location location that can have then choked. Countryside. Wildlife.
  8. ? Is there a nice clean air filter fitted?
  9. In warmer weather just now using 50% of the battery for 53 miles of just driving in town in 30 mph limits with short 1 or 2 miles covered each time takes 18 kWh to rop up to 100% again. 22 pence a kWh home tariff. £4.07 (53 miles) If paying 44 pence a kWh public charging that would be more than a petrol MINI would cost to use. £8.14 4.546 litres @ 148 pence, £6.72 Local Council chargers here are now 55 pence a kWh. X 18 kWh £9.90
  10. ^^^^ 4th Service if on a Fixed / Annual Service regime maybe. Not if on Variable Flexible. @MattRuss They will have changed them is someone paid to have them changed. Full Main Dealer Servicing does not mean Serviced to Manufacturers Guidelines, Recommendations, Specification or Schedule. ? Has the Brake Fluid been changed and the Sir Filter checked let alone replaced?
  11. That wheel / tyre size will not fit even if the car is not lowered.
  12. If part of a Service Plan be sure it is an Oil & Inspection Service then. All the ticks. & the Road Test, Body Inspection for the Paint & Corrosion Warranty logged as done. ? Is Next years just the Same same and Including the Pollen Filter replaced?
  13. ^^^ Well if needed then fine. As it is did the spark plugs need replacing @Kirky ? They are a 4 year / 40,000 mile item/ Were the Coils needed replacing though? Has cylinder 3 got the armoured lead. The one that can cause misfires. Was there an armoured one fitted then replaced? What age is your Yeti & how many miles has it done?
  14. @steveeeg How much are they charging for this Service & are they saying it is an Oil & Inspection Service? Fair enough if you had the Variable / Flexible Servicing changed to the Fixed regime with your lack of annual miles. It is still only an Oil & Filter change at Year one on a Fixed Service, with a look see unless you want to pay for more being done. They do not usually tell you that though.
  15. Welcome. Get them to send you the Terms & Conditions of the Corrosion Warranty, & Exclusions. You want to see where it is required that the Are Annual, or Bi-annual or Periodic Inspections for the Warranty. If the car had a Full Main Dealers Service History with BODY INSPECTIONS, they would still not be interested. ......... If these are who you are dealing with you want it escalated to a Skoda Senior Resolution Manager. They have a standard position of 'No'. That is what they are there for. But they should be able to furnish you first with the T&C,s that were in place in 2013.
  16. Welcome. No idea but what engine is it a 1.2 TSI or 1.4 TSI Twincharger? How long have you had it and how many miles has it done?
  17. @J.R. In this real world of TDI,s and TSI,s now & Euro 6 on an ambient of 0*oC it might be 6 miles or more before the coolant gets to an Indicated 90*oC and another 15 miles until the engine oil is at an indicated 90*oC or so. & do less miles or just that and stop, and do a return journey from a cold start and crap efficency. Now with the TSI,s with Cat & GPF it can be a whole different kettle or worms or can of fish getting the coolant ad engine oil up to temperature and an efficient running engine. Then there is the MIld Hybrids with the ICE running and the take off from the start on the battery. PHEV,s might do the 20 miles and the engine never start until it is time for the return journey and the ICE might fire up and be efficient enough. Diesels as they are now are not really cold start, short hop stop and start runners and efficient fuel or emission wise. If they were then the manufacturers could have carried on punting them for City Cars, for around town delivery vehicles. VW / Audi were going with Diesel Hybrids and Audi have them. That was what the Endurance Racing Diesel Hybrids were all about, and the factories built to build the Diesel Hybrids.
  18. It would annoy me as well. & while he said common, plenty do not do it. As to the fully servicing. Have the spark plugs been replaced yet, or are they getting done soon? Get them to see what they can do about the rattle.
  19. The Trackers purpose is for the Police to be able to track is it not, not just for owners to be able to see where they parked it, or check if the dealership is lying to you about the car being in the workshop when you can clearly see it is still in the car park. (Got the Tee Shirt for that one.)
  20. No idea but if it has the one that has been on for 13 years or 14 since the engine was built about now seems like the time. ? How many miles has it done?
  21. Exactly. They should be in their Parts Department considering they are a Skoda Main Dealer and service Skoda day in and day out. They should be asking customers that put in cars with fixtures missing if they want new ones on the car. (But then this is the real world.)
  22. ^^^ That is the figure they came up with for the NEDC but it would never have got Certificated at that for the WLTP / RDE2. & even those are not the real world emissions.
  23. There are tariffs coming on the vehicles / materials from outwith the EU / UK. Loads of cheap BEV,s from China, France or Romania are all good for some. Many will not want them. Like those on here not getting any kind of BEV. Not that many have even 20 years driving careers left anyway. THey might never want to be in a BEV, but their last journey might be in the back of one. There is no issue for those that want to run diesels 10 years old and more. Just maybe do not go into low emission zones. Millions of cars on the roads can stay as long as people want them. There are less than 1 million BEV,s on the roads in the UK and there will be more year on year and some will be getting scrapped / crashed. Those that own the vehicles currently leased are the people that need to get money in. These Financial Institutions have pension fund money in them and people savings money as well, as do the car manufacturers and parts manufacturers. If the Labour Party are in power they can not organise a pith up in a brewery and bettery than the bunch in power can now. There will be winters of discontent, and car manufacturers left in the UK with employees striking. & transport / trains as they are now or worse. It looks like we are going back to the 70,e soon enough. Maybe even an oil crisis. Get on your bikes.
  24. @Stonekeeper Exactly. Nail on he\d. Knock £10,000 of them. Give them out on much cheapness to Emergency Services, Local Authorities etc etc. But that can only go on so long and then Used vehicles values drop like a stone. The Manufacturers like VW Group as 'BANKERS. Financial Establishments selling finance, buying their own products and leasing.them. Dealerships and the Motor Trade require the turn over and making money on cars 2 or 3 times in their life. Time will tell.
