  1. The correct DSG servicing is still a few thousand miles away from being due. DQ250 6 speed wet clutch. @ 40,000 miles. Oil & Filter.
  2. Wecome. Low mileage. Not many miles covered since the last MOT. DSG not even due a oil change to 40,000 miles, but has it been done? ? Are you sure it is a Skoda Approved Used Car? Where does it show or say that? Is the Servicing to the Recommendations, Guidelines, Schedule or specification? So how is the Service History. Other than Oil & Filter Changes, has the brake fluid been changed one or twice as it should be by now.
  3. So from Sales Executives a Cunning Stunt from the Stunning c***s. Really so old skool.
  4. @pinkpanther Did you ask the Dealer Principal or the Manager WTF they were playing at and are they taking the p1th?
  5. Best reduce your speed in Germany then. Car sounds unsafe. Maybe go someplace for a 4 wheel alignment check and adjustment if needed. ? What are the tyres on the rear, & how many miles has the car covered.
  6. We know the biggest city where the biggest spending per head is in the UK. Where they are making a big deal over having restriction and costs imposed for using cars of certain ages. For small and big Cities the Transport Hubs with Park & Ride and good connections is important. That needs to be transport hubs where their is transfer of goods as well as people for getting into Cities and Towns. PS Maybe an idea those with Airport Transport Size Diesel Cars stop and give a lift into the city for people out in the rain etc as they go there with empty seats.
  7. Actually quite a good side for the steering wheel in the UK if to be used as a Town / City car. doing deliveries etc. Get in and out at the pavement side and do not open the drivers door on the road side. Lane keep assist will not work under 37 mph, but you can keep well to the left when driving and let those big fat EV,s that should be kept out of town and city centres get past easy enough.
  8. @Richard9352 You say the car is 10 months old? That is first registered 10 months ago i take it. Do you know when it was built and then left the factory? ? Did you get the car new & when did the Brakes become an issue? It is not just 6 months for the T&C,s in the Warranty in Exclusions. It is 6 months / 6.500 miles. But that is the wear and tear. Not if faulty manufacturing, materials etc. But was the car OK at 6 months, 7 months, 8 months and 9 months?
  9. @TRWood How many miles has he car done? Was it a Skoda Approved Used Car, and do you have the Service History for the car, and the record of any warranty work that might have been done? ? Has it been through a MOT, and if so any advisories?
  10. ^^^ There might be the issue, 'Landsails', the car behaving like a Land Yacht.
  11. @TRWood What load is that recommended pressure for? Have you tried a bit lower pressures? What tyres are on the car?
  12. @TRWood Welcome. You never mentioned the first and most important thing. What tyre are fitted and what pressures are they run at? How much wear / or tread have they? PS. What high speed are we talking about. Just the 70 mph limit and maybe 80 mph, or actual High Speeds, like well above that?
  13. Shell Recharge cards are common for Business users with PHEV,s or BEV,s. Shell EV chargers are pretty useless in many locations but i used a card i was given last week at an Ionity charger.
  14. @EnterName I was a member. Quite a few supporters of Independence for Scotland. Not sure there were many on here though. Or who they might be. But if you say so then you might well be right, or maybe wrong. I was wrong over Nicola Sturgeon, & John Swinney. I would never & have never trusted Alec Salmond because he only ever wanted to campaign for Independence and his personal wealth. There is some really really crooked stuff happens in Scotland and the most appalling thing is just how useless the Police are in Scotland. Drugs Death Capitals and much more that could be sorted in a Small Country with so many Councillors, MP,s, MSP,s who are selectively blind to their communities and organised crime. Or crime among their own lot in the parties.
  15. 'Fleets' Military, Emergency Services, Coast Guards, Police, Fire, NHS, Council / Local Authorities, Roads Departments, HMRC, Government Agencies, AA, RAC, it goes on an on the people other than just Companies, Commercial users purchasing or leasing cars and light commercials. PS Hire cars.
  16. Only selling to yourself is first registrations only. The next sale is a pre used car even if delivery miles only. So this will be the requirement to get the 22% BEV first registrations. The Demonstrator 3,000 mile / 3 months has been a fix for a very long time.
  17. Many private owners / drivers do keep cars longer, run used cars. Buy used cars. It is the businesses and fleets being more than 1/2 of those running cars in the UK that feed the used market. The government can easily stop the short term ownership and leasing if vehicles. But then UK dealership work shops are so ****. It is time for Local Authority run Testing of cars. It is time for some control over the motor trade cartel of franchised dealerships. The pre registration of vehicles was supposed to have been put stop to. It has definitely not been. Ex management cars is a con on the UK tax payers.
  18. England is keeping it's oil for the future. Time to get it out, and get fracking. What a resource poor country.
  19. Nothing wrong with spending oil wealth funds in Scotland if there was an oil wealth funds.. But the SNP. No business people among them or advisors. They mess up project after project. I was a SNP member. There are a bunch of incompetents right through the party. Just the same as the other parties though. Labour and Liberal Democrats messed up big style. That debts are being paid still and will for decades. An island nation needs boats, ferries and good transport links to islands. Public travel in Scotland is very very expensive.
  20. Truth of the matter The Green,s / Scottish Green Party are ANTI. The SNP always wanted the Oil left for when Scotland is Independent and not the revenue for Westminster to P!ss up the wall on the likes of their pet things. Like bombing and killing others around the world. Building stuff and selling it cheaply. The SNP want to pI55 it up walls in Scotland.
  21. They are using Electricity from Offshore Wind Farms for the Rigs and going to be converting more because the exploration and extraction is polluting. & the flaming on the rigs. You really need to see Aberdeen these days for just how much Oil Support Companies there are. Also just how many empty HQ,s and other buildings.
