@FabcolIf you look into the Electric Car Section and the busiest thread 'The truth of Electric Cars' there are plenty posts about him and his videos and comments and reading out articles. ? Do you have a locking fuel cap / flap and is it only you that uses the car and fuels it? They are surely all places that are busy with others buying diesel. Facebook or something else shows when a filling station has been selling crap fuel or there are issues with their tanks.

@R9DCG Bad fuel from where, which filling station, what brand. Is it near Coatbridge? Hundreds of others will have filled up, so you call them, e-mail them, you get a District Manager and you tell them you are taking a fuel sample or having the RAC / AA or Trading Standards take. Or a Main Dealers. That is if sure you bought bad fuel and are not going to make a fool of yourself. Name where you bought bad fuel and Social Media do the rest. Others will be going to garages with issues.

@Graham Butcher do you know anything about Germany and how the Gas from the South to Austria and Germany can be cut anytime. They need NATO and UN and others support because they are no Super Power and lacking in energy power and need it from others. They are not to be trusted with nuclear power. Germany needs the money to be doing deals to have what they need from other Nations.

@skomazYes south America energy and crop rich hence ethanol fuels. So Germany is not so Imports needed and like outsourcing electrics and manufacturing to Hungary which is Energy Rich and cheap labor as long as Putin and Viktor Orban are in power.

Synthetic fuels are coming but using resources to produce, electricity or crops from what ever source and Germany has not enough as it is from their own country, or Oil, Gas , Coal or Nuclear. The coming years requirement to reduce the vehicles you do register that were nor zero emissions is still in place. BUT, now it looks like the Manufacturing Countries of vehicles have the EU looking at relaxing the Euro 7 emissions requirements. So the Fabia might be able to stay affordable as other Small / Middle sized cars without electrification might. Not cheap, just not that expensive that they would have no buyers. Pay the VED yourself, do not have it added to any Finance you might be taking. PS What servicing are you getting in which years with the Finance. Oil & Inspection Services. & Extended Scope? Are you paying for the extras, Air Filter or Pollen or Brake Fluid, DSG, Haldex etc etc. What are the actual terms, years 4-10 years? ? Is it 'All in' or some other Service Plan you are getting?

@ the Golf Open St Andrews and elsewhere has Diesel Generators set up for charging VIP / Transportation Mercedes Minibuses. A real pith take but then so is Rapid Charging in St Andrews and much of Fife.

Regarding ANPR. At the airports drop off and collect your car reg is read and you pay for the 5, 10 or 15 minutes. Well at charger hubs you can have a sign that calls cars forward in order to. Charger number. To get out free at airport with blue badge you press a button at the barrier and the person in a kiosk in beside the ticket machines lifts the barrier.

During opening time at the gate will be 2 people in the hut that will check membership cards and take payment and hand out membership forms. I am fully charged so don't need to use the chargers that are free. PS I think I mentioned Motorway services type places not Cities, but large Charging hubs built in cities should have attendants, as it is they have ones that take pictures of cars maybe in a disabled bay but with no blue badge etc.

It is hardly rocket science at motorway services type locations.. A filling station has an employee or 3 in the kiosk or shop and counter. A hut as Carparks had and still do with a human allowing cars to the changing area with the driver having taken a Queuing ticket with a number at the barrier as they enter the parking area will do fine at busy chargers. They are making enough money to pay a charger attendant £15 an hour. Like a number you get at a fast food place to tell you your order is ready.

@rochdiwelcome. Are you in Australia. Which engine so which DSG? A DQ381? You might find the other owners with them and an issue and if in Australia than Skoda /VW know of faults. There are LEMON laws there I believe.

From his Linkedin he is very Media Savvy from the Organisation he runs, public speaking etc. A Courtesy / Hire car from the insurers should not be an issue. Or from MG if a New Car and not just New to him and under manufacturers warranty. One of life's survivors. Live life!
