Oil pressure light
OK. Was it about 100 km you drove before the light came on again? Is it 5w 30 FS III oil used, so to VW504 00 / 507 00, It never got 0w 20 FS IV did it?

Oil pressure light
Again, Simples. Was the oil level checked at normal operating temperature so at about 90*oC indicated and on the flat and after stopped a few minutes. Is there an old seal left on with the new filter, or it is over tightened to stop the leak? What engine, how many km, and are you certain the correct oil was used? ****WAS IT 100 km You drove in the week?**** PS IMPORTANT. When you get a Low Oil or Low Oil Pressure warning and you open the bonnet and even do nothing and close it the lights / warning can go out for 100 km and then show again.

Oil pressure light
@Henry1972 So maybe the oil filter over tightened. Is it the Red Oil Can light so Oil Pressure, not the Yellow Oil can, low OIl level? What engine do you have? What is the story, how many km, & are you sure the correct oil and when was it last checked at NORMAL OPERATING TEMPERATURE & it was at the correct level? Not the cold dip level.

Airbag Recall
It is not showing as a DVLA Safety Critical Recall maybe because VW Group convinced VOSA / DfT that it is not, or just never told them of the issue and all the other cars not dealt with over the past 20 years with Airbag faults or possible faults. When the 1.5TSI ACT engine cars from 2018 were a Safety Critical Recall then cars were taken off the road and VW Group / Skoda UK had to provide cars and some for many months. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions So they have a Recall Action, a Service Campaign, a Workshop Action, not a proper Safety Critical Recall. What is there is the RECALL from 22 years ago.

Too much oil, broken turbo?
Aaaa. You were supposed to add 0.5 liters and see if enough and then maybe a bit more. But you know that now. @ApertureS, @Crasheror others hopefully can give advice but you are left sadly with needing the issue sorted & just how much that will be is the issue.

the truth about electric cars
Corsa Electric had all you needed in front of you and change screens on a stalk, as does the MINI Electric as do many EV, s and not just ones that also come as an ICE. i-Drive selector between the seats of the MINI for the driver or passenger to select or control most of everything the car can do other than the stuff the driver does, 2 pedals, steering and stalks. If you do not want big screens and you need to touch them just say 'No'.

Welcome to the forum. Looking forward to answers from anyone in the know? What does the ones people are selling look like as far as a wiring loom?

DSG tips
Welcome. If the car sits about or gets driven at a dealers, courtesy car, a partner drives it then you drive it it can not learn, but if you give it a bit of a spirited drive then it certainly becomes a bit more responsive like it have a 'reset'. so just try that maybe when on your own after someone has driven it. Set off and see how it is and then have a bit of a blast and use the accelerator more and sharper and you might well feel the difference. S can be good for crawling along and it not shuffling 1st to 2nd, or to drop back to S when off the accelerator to slow without touching the brake, good in winter. Or S to hold to a higher RPM before shifting up and when you want a move on. As to coming down gears and slowing, maybe try knocking the shifter to M and drop gears. It is a Semi- Automatic really as VW identify them, even though a 2 pedal car and referred to as an automatic.

the truth about electric cars
- Just bought a 1.2 TDI...
Welcome. Enjoy it and have fun. It might have had the VW Emissions fix sometime after 2017 because they got one for 1.2 TDI,s but as long as all is well then not a problem. You can maybe check if outstanding, but if not showing that does not mean it was done. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions- Spark Plugs - 1.5TSI Karoq
The offer or Fixed Price is on engines 2.0 l or under. So we can forget the 5,6,8 or even cylinder engines from VW Group. There was a period of time it said *Excludes Citigo* because they were / are 3 cylinder and got a lower price, but for a Fabia with the same 3 cylinders they charged the same as 4 cylinder engines. Same with Services, Oil & Filter, charging the same for the cars with 2.8 or 3.2 or 3.6 liters of oil at a service as those with 4.6 litres. Yes you pays your money and get the work done or go elsewhere and pay for what you get which is what happened supposedly when they stopped the Minor / Interim & Major Services fixed price where each 2nd Major Service you might not get a Air Filter or Spark Plugs / Diesel Filter. Paid the same though. It went Oil & Inspection Service, Extended Scope & pay for items, pollen filter, air filter, brake fluid replacement, spark plug replacement. If you charge a fixed price for something then that is that. But to charge the same for 3 x £15 spark plugs as 4 X £15 spark plugs, or actually 4 X £17 spark plugs, labor & VAT there is something very strange there. Actually 3 x £7 spark plugs & 4 x £7 spark plugs as they get them supplied. KFC might do a discount and instead of 6 Chicken Wings for £2.99 & 10 for £3.99 they do 12 for £3.50. But the receipt shows the price of items and the VAT on that.- Which Karoq DSG?
@nonuffinprof A 1.5 TSI ACT DSG with AWD (Haldex) does not have a DQ200 it has a DQ381 7 Speed Wet Clutch. How lovely if not knowing what they have they would sell you a AWD for the price of a FWD.- Car hot and fans running
That is exactly the worst of use for 1.6 TDI CR.s. so many used as taxis and is the fuel economy actually worth it when the costs are taken into consideration? Usually not.- Car hot and fans running
@Dean17How many miles does it go then from each cold start until stopped again and at what speed in each stint? Everything has an affect, sitting idling very much so.- the truth about electric cars
At the Cracking plant like at Grangemouth the OIl is coming up the Forties Pipeline from Cruden Bay and the Oil needs gas with it to move it along. Then there is the Shale Gas from America on the INEOS Dragon Bulk Carriers, then gas is producing electricity at their own power station to produce petrochemicals from the Oil. The highest emissions place in Scotland. It is a dirty game producing energy of any kind, some maybe less dirty and with less long lasting consequences. Different things for different reasons, minerals of all kinds but it all comes from the ground or out of the air or goes into the air or back into the ground eventually. Some kills people sooner than others and maybe more painfully. ...................... I worry more really about Nut Jobs who walk or drive about us than what they drive or how they fuel them.- Cost of cambelt change
@Rjaygee Just as with a member that was told it would be £550 and that they would honor that quote as it was the Skoda Fixed Price Servicing & Maintenance at participating dealers on cars 3-10 years. Easy for the Service desk staff to quote when they are clueless about the time the job takes. I wonder if any that quoted that got their arse kicked. How long was your car with them to get the job done? ? Did you get an invoice with the parts listed, part numbers?- Cost of cambelt change
@RjaygeeThat was a very good price for getting it done with a 1.5 TSI ACT. Cheaper than Independents were doing them for and hundreds of quid less than other Skoda main dealers were asking or charging from a range of £800-£1,200.- the truth about electric cars
Yes he was in or around his work or home so that is a place, maybe a big place being a National Park in the USA. He was never out of his body unless having out of body experiences, maybe while struck by lightening. @J.R. Might not believe things unless he was their and experienced and sees it with his own eyes which is fair enough.- Which Karoq DSG?
Is a DQ200 DSG dreaded? Salespeople with no idea about what they are selling are dreadful and maybe to be avoided. Ask what the Warranty covers on a Skoda Approved used car, does it cover the DSG, the clutch packs, the MCU or repair or replacement. Then ask to see that in writing if it does. Ask the person selling the Honda what their warranty covers and again to see that in writing. A DQ200 is a 7 speed twin dry clutch DSG so there are no wet clutch DQ200 DSG. Buy what you enjoy driving and suits you comfort wise. As to Honest John quoting a real 32 mpg, that will not be what everyone gets as a real mpg but there must be some that get that, and the same goes for the 40 mpg. Was that an average? Because people drive with cars loaded or unloaded and in different ways in different locations.- the truth about electric cars
@lol-lolI had friends who lost relatives on Piper Alpha & knew survivors. I worked before that in a company that did Sub-Contracting for offshore construction and fabrication. Halliburton, Texas Instruments etc. & With others building accommodation modules, crane cabs, and generator casings. I was a painter. There was so much crap that was turned out back then by the many that jumped on the bandwagon and should never have been given the responsibility they were which was very much Americans with not a care other than the Dollar. Now that my young lad and his step brothers are on rigs and were doing rope access so inspections i know there is a bit of a different regime but sadly some muppets that were there in the 1970,s still are around. PS A man and boy were struck by lightening today i spotted on the telly just as i was typing this.- the truth about electric cars
@J.R. You must never of heard of Roy Sullivan!- the truth about electric cars
Last nights lightening strike and explosion at the Bio-gas anaerobic digestion plant was quite something. Not sure if there will be calls for stopping the expansion of these or that no body will insure them. Maybe they will be required to be further away from other buildings & habitations.- the truth about electric cars
@Graham Butcher maybe solar and good ground wasted would be relevant if there were not so many Slipper Farmers like there are in Scotland and before and still since Brexit Farm Subsidy,s. Set aside and payments not to use land productively . Hill sides and rough ground and non economic to farm land about. PS. Do you see on your travels just how much land gets covered by Polytunnels? If you or @lol-lolwere to head to Tayside and the slopes where soft fruits are grown or anyplace then you might see just where Solar Panels are working very well and not wasting farming or agricultural land.- Spark Plugs - 1.5TSI Karoq
A member posted about their 1.0 TSI and spark plugs. Maybe some here that have had plugs or been quoted for them on a 3 or 4 cylinder TSI recently can say what Main Dealers are charging or quoting. It might be that some do charge less than £115 for 3 or 4 plugs supplied and fitted and the VAT. @kodiaqsportlinemaybe less getting yourself near the surface is in order. Your contribution to a thread already with the answers concerning 1.5 TSI ACTS,s is to try to get a dig in at me. Helpful. Maybe next you can say how i have not got a Skoda or use Main Dealers or get my information from the Internet. But not from anything helpful you post about. - Just bought a 1.2 TDI...
