Superb III 2.0 TSI DSG 2020 190 service schedule
Get a dealership to print off the work sheets. or use 'erWIN'. There is not an Official Service Schedule. Now in the Website from Skoda in my first post they say Schedule. It is Recommendations. A Skoda Approved Used car with Full Main Dealer Service History might not have the Brake Fluid changed or the Haldex, VAQ, DSH Serviced as per Guidelines / Recommendations. The Chart gives an idea on DSG but that is wet clutch, the cam belts / water pumps. Cars 3-10 years old. A guide only.

Excessive ABS, low speeds?
What tyres, what pressures, and has the 7 year old car had the brake fluid changed at 3 years, 5 years or anytime or tested for H20, What servicing have the brakes had, pad change or anything?

Grayson Spring Assisters
@DupontUnless already posted you need to give your cars details. Engine / Gearbox etc, maybe more info & @Carlstonis highly likely to know all the numbers. When i fit assisters i usually have the car jacked up to get then on easily / quickly.

Superb III 2.0 TSI DSG 2020 190 service schedule
Is this Skoda Approved Used then with 2 Services. Fixed Interval Services, not Variable / Flexible. First get the record of what they did to this Ex Demonstrator. Did they do an Oil Service and anything else. Was it reset to Fixed Servicing or is it on Variable so actually the next service was 24 months / 18,000-20,000 miles later. So @ 2 years the Oil & Inspection Service and a Pollen filter change. The plan should cover that. Next year that and extended Scope. Brake Fluid change due, or at least it should be tested, not just the level checked. Haldex at 3 years / 30,000 miles costs extra. VAQ Front Diffs @ 3 years / 30,000 miles. DSG at 40,000 or 80,000 miles is extra. Spark Plugs are extra. Air Filter are Extra. Etc etc. Brake Services and actual maintenance / preventative maintenance stuff.

Superb III 2.0 TSI DSG 2020 190 service schedule
Yes. Is this a new car and the first service? http://skoda.co.uk/owners/servicing-maintenance-fixed-price http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/497902-service-schedule Did they not give you details of what your plan includes. How long does the plan cover? So is this the car on Variable Servicing so the first service @ 2 years.? Oil & Inspection Service. Not much done and a Pollen Filter. Is the car not changed to Fixed Servicing for the Service plan. So at 1 year / 9,400 miles for the first service?

Cornering Front Fog Lights
7 years on and nothing changes and many have no idea what the cars lights do or what others see when they have lights on. I love where those that live on the dark side of the moon need all the lighting they can get. Where there is no lighting and hard to see they can put on Full Beam, Dipped beam and front and rear fog lights and reversing lights to their heart is content. That does not mean that just because when they select reverse they should have the Front fogs come on automatically regardless of location or need. If they want Front fogs on to reverse and nobody is coming towards them then switch both on rather than a pair on and then one or other on as they reverse and steer. PS New annoyance to go with the usual, more and more EV's on the road where the driver has no idea the car has Headlights and Rear Lights that will not reduce the pathetic range their car might have so switching them on is Simply Clever and do not assume 'Auto' means there are Side light / Position Lights and even Dipped Headlights on.

2022 kodiaq sel exec seats
Maybe it is the leather seats in Bentley / Rolls Royce and such type of cars where you might feel like you are sliding about that causes the travel sickness or just how the chauffeur drives.

Hybrid versus petrol and diesel: a comparison of real-life fuel consumption
That was good. 61 miles. Doing 61 miles and then 61 miles return so 122 miles is what is different and why i posted. Doing 30.5 miles then charging and 30.5 miles back is really where the PHEV can save more money, even maybe the planet if using electricity from renewables. The thing is that renewables in the UK / Scotland will include from DRAX and woodchips imported from the US and the pollution of that not included in the Governments figures.

vRS Engine Cover Recall
New cars are being delivered without covers. So Skoda / VW the biggest or 2nd biggest car manufacturer in the world that has delays because of chips can not use the spare time that they have to design and manufacture or have manufactured with haste the revised parts. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/505107-keep-engine-clean

Kamiq Fuel Economy
'Coasting' with a vehicle with a DSG and 'Coasting' function is a different thing, as in it is enabled and the gear indicator that is in D7 goes to D (some cars ECO because you need to have that selected) the car goes to 'Coasting' with the gears not engaged until you touch the accelerator or the brake pedal. You need to look at what engine and DSG you have, a TSI a TSI with ACT, or TDI's, a Dry Clutch Or Wet Clutch DSG. They are not all the same... And manuals are different. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/494029-is-15tsi-coasting-in-d-mode-while-normal-mode-selected http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/494047-coasting http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/451452-coasting-in-normalsport http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/386035-dsg-coasting-in-eco-mode http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/456858-eco-mode-coasting This is a diesel so different from the Kamiqs here but still there is 'Coasting' also ACC. Getting to know what you have makes sense. This being a manual. Kick him out the car ....Maybe get a Yeti to suit him.

Grayson Spring Assisters
@Dupont I would get on and get them ordered and read reviews and warnings etc. Lets see who comes along. Maybe people that have had them on cars, towed, had issues and breakages we will get to know their experience with them. Maybe a mechanic or engineer that has seen these broken springs.
-
Grayson Spring Assisters
@Carlston Have you seen these prematurely broken springs that had the spring assisters fitted. Is this at someplace you work at and have vehicles in requiring replacements. Over 4 decades i have driven quite a few vehicles with them fitted to tow various stuff, boats, caravans, horseboxes etc. No broken springs though. I have had broken springs on different cars / 4x4s over the years that had not Spring Assiters fitted, ............. Extreme Challenge Springs that had just been abused too often and left in the elements with salt on etc.

Hybrid versus petrol and diesel: a comparison of real-life fuel consumption
Was that 185 pence a litre so 2.7 litres and 13 kWh of electric @ about 7 pence a kWh? So If you did that one way and charged to come home at 35 pence a kWh that would have been £4.55 & £5. 61 miles for £9.55

Anyone making a new claim for the VW Emissions / Dieselgate?
The media are reporting raids on Hyundai & KIA premises in Germany & Luxembourg due to suspicions of illegal defeat devices they had on vehicles. The authorities in Germany & EU probably know quite well who had what since the software is thought to have come from Bosch & Delphi who seem to get treated with a light touch for maybe admitting what they were involved in. 'Working with the authorities' even if you were at the heart of things seems to give you a Get out of jail free card.

Delivery times?
Welcome. That is good. That 90% figure will be a figment of someones imagination as it is unlikely that 10% was unfinished, by component or whatever way they want to consider things.

Can an emulator/simulator resolve dreaded EGR issue
As the post above. Welcome. What model and what engine, is it a 1.6TDI?

Kamiq Fuel Economy
So why are you going to a higher gear than the car / DSG usually selects if you are reducing speed? I ask because i have only one foot, drive only automatics / 2 pedal cars. If i want to go faster or coast down a hill / slope i do not brake. There is little engine braking but for wet, cold, icy and snowy roads down shifts with a DQ200 DSG does the job with little or no touch the brake pedal. I have hypermiled for years and driven DSG's dry and wet clutch for over a decade and what you seem to do is not assisting in getting better fuel consumption IMO.
-
Kamiq Fuel Economy
@Northamlooks like having a 1.0 TSI Octavia but a 1.5 TSI Kamiq so different from your 1.0 tsi @Seasiderwhich does not have ACT. Why when braking going downhill do you go to a higher gear and not a lower gear if trying to reduce speed?

Steering noise while car warming up
Welcome. Is this a right hand drive car, as in the UK? What have you engine and gearbox wise and how many miles /km done? Is it not as simple as corrosion on the disc when you start off, or maybe a dust shield touching.

EVs? No thanks not when.
It is like e-Bikes, if you love cycling & can carry on for the foreseeable future maybe do not try an e-bike as push bikes are never quite the same as they were. I ruined my hobby that i had for decades by going to e-bikes as it is a whole different thing.

EVs? No thanks not when.
@EnterNameI will drive my diesel later and take it to top up the tank and just because needs must occasionally. Buying fuel breaks my heart now. As much as i have loved cars and anything with engines since about 5 years old and i got my first ones at 11 year old and started as an apprentice mechanic at 15 things change. Once used to driving EV's i really do not find petrol or diesel engines anything special. Karts with 2 strokes and then Indoor 2 pedal Karts were my favourite thing, and even going and driving dodgems and to me EV's are just like that, fun and easy even at normal speeds and also the effortless acceleration.

Idle occasionally rough - reset throttle body?
Well worth looking in the Airbox. An Extended Scope Service that does not look even if it is not scheduled for a change is just part of the Service & Maintenance kidology. 40,000 miles as a replacement period for the spark plug replacement can be OK, even sometimes 60,000 miles the same as an Air Filter change is now. But they used to be at the 2nd Major Services so at 4 years and not necessarily the car having done 40,000 miles. This could be a waste of money but then once you had removed the 4 plugs and inspected them it was as well to put in new ones. Those removed could always be saved for reuse or giving to someone for them to use. Minimum Octane of 95 or 97/99 is one thing, but around the UK Super Unleaded is not all equal.

Grayson Spring Assisters
Yes they will help. They have done exactly what they are designed to do for decades now. Some will say no way. Try a search / google. briskoda grayston spring assisters there are several threads in different forums. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/493891-rear-spring-assisters-upgrade

Idle occasionally rough - reset throttle body?
@RoddersUK What did servicing involve, an Oil & Filter & Inspection service. Has the car done this from new, how many miles has it done by now and have the spark plugs been replaced and the air filter looked at? ? Do you run it on E10 95 ron or E5 97 or 99 ron Super Unleaded? Just out of interest and unrelated, but does your car have a VAQ Diff and has it had a Service in 2020 or since?

Low Mileage Skoda Octavia Hatch MK4 brake issues.
So. Are the discs going blue with heat ? Do the discs actually need replacing or just servicing and possibly new brakes pads. ? OT, but, Have you got your Michelin tyres at a sensible pressure and not just as the car was handed over to you? And the tpms reset?
