  1. People who move to work for VW group have to think of keeping a supply of soap on a rope. The VW board see hear and say nothing and it is Rogue Engineers or minions that take the fall. The VW boss is off taking the head of a software business and the Skoda boss is landed with the headache that is the VW group.
  2. @Kachaka How are things this week? How long from a cold start until the Coolant gauge shows 90*oC & how many miles before the Oil Temp shows 50*oC and is the oil temp still not getting to above 80*oC if you are maybe driving for 30 minutes or more?
  3. Married couples or even unmarried can have children, employees etc. I used to have my cars Registered with my Mum until she reached her 90th birthday. She is 97 in March. (When asked why i never had cars Registered in my name i explained if i was in a coma or dead after an accident there was no point visiting my address to inform next of kin.)
  4. One former keeper. That can be Hertz, BSM, or any Meter reading company like Morrison group.
  5. Guest_ replied to nickalto's topic in Škoda Citigo
Are you fitting Heated Mirrors to the car to then have function when you switch on the heated screen?
  6. @zrock1 Sorry for being stupid but you show as having a 2009 car. So when was it built? I assume 2008/9 It is a car not a bus, look around you and see if you are wearing a seatbelt and if all the others in the car have one on.
  7. Was that mandatory on all vehicle Type Approved from 2010? And in registered in the EU. The Mk3 did not even get New Type Approval in 2014.
  8. Welcome. Enjoy the forum.
  9. So the seller only provided a record of the car getting a Service every year. If the have no more details of what was done then Full Service History is them stretching the Truth.
  10. Spoiler alert... Winner winner. Amazing. The greatest driver.
  11. Welcome. Someone will be along that can help hopefully. ? Is it Main Dealer Servicing that was done? A Full Service History would show a Full History of the Servicing. That is what was done and what was not done. That is what they should have provided if advertising the car with that. A History showing Fixed or Variable services each Year / 2 Years or however many miles is not a Full Service History. It will only ever show what the Dealership Employees actually put on the System and if at a Oil & Filter Service / Interim Service / Major - Inspection Service etc. Is there nothing you received showing that the Brake Fluid was changed in 2018 or 2020 or 2021? Pollen Filter in 2017 & 2019 Air Filter, AC Servicing, DSG / Haldex Servicing if the car has those.
  12. They are simple. The power produced as they come from the factory can be pretty easily increased with a laptop on some vehicles. No arguments over the types of electric as it just comes in Regular, well AC/DC & not different octanes or cetane. Or there can be more to it. Or
  13. Google is your friend on that. Saves someone else doing a search. Then for Taxis / private hire in difference local authority areas there are different requirements to be able to see in the rear of a car / vehicle.
  14. A member posted in the MK2 section in a thread there on Friday about an injection issue with a MK3. I linked this thread but they seem not to have asked their question here.
  15. Bit of an 'fail' in the New Hybrid era if you forget when you have to not use the ICE. Or choose to not be in Electric mode because there is a bit of a delay between going from one mode to another so just don't do it! The penalties will have to be severe enough to mean that drivers / teams are not deciding when to cheat or ignore rules. https://dirtfish.com/rally/wrc/neuville-gets-reprimand-for-hybrid-rules-breach/ The non 'green' cars are still about giving it laldy without the kidology.
  16. Dacia intend to keep adding lightness. https://autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/dacia-plots-gradual-ev-roll-out-maintain-affordable-pricing
  17. Not so as it will look like the R5 image you put up. Here is a Mk2 Fabia vRS Built for Shows & they sold on. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/265505-my-skoda-fabia-s2000-built-for-street Here is a Replica they built with a 3 cylinder 1.2 engine for static shows.
  18. @lazybones251Welcome. If you have the skills you can do anything, Sounds like you have not. It might look naff but as long as you like it. So have you found a R5 Body kit that you can afford to buy to start chopping about? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/484365-body-mods
  19. Not on the many roads about with average speed cameras, it was a camera van on a flyover or parked just around a bend or at the only long stretch where it was possible to get passed slow moving vehicles. Its years since i got nabbed by a police officer with a radar gun but they are still about.
  20. You will just be in the same boat as others where if caught exceeding speed limits there will be proper penalties getting imposed by courts. The days of excessive speed on UK roads will soon be getting proper legislation. I can say this now as i am back to 6 points away from a ban rather than the 3 i have been on.
  21. I know what it is all about. Some people will just have to grin and bear it if they drive company / lease cars or fleet cars that are changed every couple or three years because they are getting them and other stuff they might not like. They will not be restricting anyone to only 10 mph over the UK NSL's. Those with keepers that like exceeding speed limits might just have to keep risking it for a biscuit as they do now. 22. If newer cars around you or in front have them and for some reason they are enabled you will be going no faster than them.
  23. A year away the vRS could be discontinued, Any model / drivetrain can be discontinued in the VW Group brands with the new Standard Safety Features that will be need soon this year and then on new Type Approved models.
  24. @Joss1733 I do not suppose you opened the fob to see what batteries you had! The thing is we have no idea how often you were at your car or near it or in it, daily several times a day, weekly or monthly or how many miles driven in 4 years.
  25. Service Books with a page after the Service page for Body checks stopped by 2013. That was Fixed Service times and at each 2nd service (Major) Nothing to tick anymore, it was done on a Palm Top and now should be put on the system by a tech, but the worksheet has not got them doing checks for damage, un-approved repairs etc. Skoda UK often says that 'There have not been Body Work Checks' so no Warranty cover. But then the Skoda Corrosion Warranty has nothing about Body Work Checks annually or bi-annually. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/478681-corrosion-warranty-periodic-checks Skoda UK Main Dealer Servicing supposedly according to their Websites include Body Checks. So they know if the car is serviced who does not do them. Lots of threads on the matter. Skoda UK Customer Services need to show you where the Corrosion Warranty states that Regular Inspections are in the terms. Zinc Inclusion. ? So has the car ever had Warranty Work in the past for Paint / Corrosion? ? Is the paint there now the factory paint or has the doors or paint already been replaced but not with any Skoda Warranty cover? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/449289-door-corner-rust http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/478746-zinc-inclusion-and-paint-wear http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/366353-paint-blisters-zinc-inclusion-rust http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/377429-yeti-zinc-inclusion-problems http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/400751-zinc-inclusion-again
