Was this car rejected?
It is a way of getting first registrations & being where they want in the figures SMMT go on about, now being sure they are going to meet the Average C02 g/km that VW group and other manufacturers need to, and manipulating the Residuals / used car prices and the 'Sale of Used vehicles like the supposed high demand and high asking / selling prices, yet used car lots are overflowing with used cars.

Any Citigo-e IV user
@Benny28 When you were at Skoda Cambridge did you not have your car plugged in while the master tech was present so that you could see how the car charges with them? Why not pop to a PodPoint at the likes of Tesco and see what you are getting as a charge speed.

@lockesboyWhen was that? Were you there when Hyundai was next door? You might have serviced my Skoda's then if you did.

Was this car rejected?
So many VW Finance / Group owned vehicles around. There have been lockdowns. Ex Management as they like to use the term, which can be a Dealerships employee, relative of an employee, long / short termer to the media / courtesy car etc etc etc. Funnily all of above might never be aware of the faults that non 'perk from VW' drivers notice and want fixed. The Warranty work / TPI / Service Campaign history is important to see.

2019 Skoda Scala first oil change
They were asked often enough why they were charging for Sump Plugs if they were not replacing them. They were insistent that they did change the sump plugs and were not fraudulently charging for plugs and taking VAT for something not used. Same with Washer Fluid they never supplied.

2019 Skoda Scala first oil change
It was H&S and oil change at operating temp. & the sump plug was removed and the last oil drained. Done at various VW / Skoda / SEAT / Audi Dealers in Dundee and nationwide. Oil Extractor unit VAS 6622 Surprised really that they are saying it is not still used in dip stick tubes. Or was.

@lockesboy I wonder when the VW Group stopped approving of sucking out oil and when Barnetts VW Dundee stopped doing it. Drain off or suction off engine oil.doc

Belt change and DSG oil change ?
They were all over the place with Haldex when Skoda & VW showed it at 4 year / 40,000 miles, the VW were saying 3 years / 30, 000 miles and Skoda said 3 years but not 30,000 miles, then eventually got to 3 years / 30,000. Still to long for many cars and especially where that £85 is not even the job done properly. The DSG is definitely not at 4 years if the car is not near the 40,000 miles, but should not be left until over 40,000 miles. But then there is still the confusion over those that are @ 80,000 miles. DQ381's.

Belt change and DSG oil change ?
They certainly show the 4 years / 40,000 miles for DSG Oil changes and a price on this below. Very likely just wrong. It would certainly be interesting if Skoda UK explain is that just a pure simplification showing a price rather than a new Schedule / Recommendation / Guideline for Oil Changes of DSG's. It has some at dealerships with no idea about what DSG is what telling customer that there DQ200 DSG needs an Oil change.

Alloy spare wheel?
Why do you not take a wheel/ tyre off your car and try it in with the air it has in now and with less air in? (& if you go with one the same as on the car as a spare remember and have a way to inflate the tyre with you if you do carry it deflated.)

Delivery times?
@zetzet That is as you would expect if the next years model has not changed and the same standard and options are available. If not then they are not. ? Do you have your car yet?
-
Delivery times?
Those that ordered MY21 spec vehicles that were not built before MY22 ones have to go with what MY22 cars have and stuff has been changed from what spec they were supposed to come with. You might well get 'this is what we have, if you do not want then cancel'.

Winter roads, ice, snow and wet or dry driving in an EV..
I put diesel in my Shogun yesterday. Been taking it out once a day as long as it was not iced up, & because last year it did under 600 miles between MOT's and suffered because that. 35 miles done since last brimmed and it took 18.5 litres of diesel, which was £27. (it will go on a battery charger and maybe go out once a week or if there is really bad roads, but actually the Corsa is better in the snow as long as not deep unplowed.) If i plug in at home and 120 miles of electric costs me £8.00 that is rather nice. The Council chargers are pretty dead now that it is 23pence a kWh to charge but i see a few that used to park up for hours charging for free are plugged in again for a while but not hours and even when they have a full charge. My EV charging at Tesco will probably be tonight as the car park is chocka. A Nissan Leaf has been on a charger for a day and the others seem to be Hybrids that get parked and left for 'Long time mister' 'we have much fun'. Boxing Day.

2019 Skoda Scala first oil change
@lockesboy They can check down at Barnetts VW on the system if there are any Software Updates due on the car even if they tell you on the desk they are VW and not Skoda. If you were near the Kingsway then there is Skoda Specialist cars (&SEAT) The car came with VW508 00 oil, so 0w 20 FS IV, are you going to use the same as recommended or VW504 00, 5w 30 FS III or 0w 30 FS III ?

2019 Skoda Scala first oil change
The oil in liquid form will actually go into the engine if you remove the filler cap and carefully pour. Use a funnel maybe. That really is as it is designed to be topped up with oil. Maybe best look at a Youtube video. ? Do you know how to reset the Service Indicator? Has the car had any other servicing done to it in 2 years? Are you going to look at the pollen filter, maybe clean that if not repacing. Are the brakes going to get any attention?

? Are they selling you the spark plugs? They are having a giraffe. Even giving that you are sprinting with the car. Seems like money wasted on oil changing at 6,000 miles unless you are tracking the car, the oil will be perfectly fine at 8,000-10,000 miles be it 5w 40 FS or the Long Life. The engine might even be more efficient with the oil after 6,000 miles. VW504 00 so 5w 30 FS III or even 0w 30 FS III is the recommended oil for Fixed or Variable servicing anyway, and VW502 00 is OK for fixed.

'Farmer Autocare' Edinburgh for anyone looking at trust pilot or other reviews. Seems like luck of the draw which branch or staff you are dealing with.

So really the engine / engine oil is at or getting to an efficient operating temp and then the car is parked.

@Bingodalton Surely your oil is not getting to an indicated 90*oC or near in a 5 mile trip from a cold start unless it is warm weather.

Mobility cars. Are they worth it
@AnnoyingPentiumHe should. Last year and this he should have had 2 £50 payments and then get this £60 one.

DSG …Confused?
Best not use a main dealership if there is a good independent. The DSG is at 40,000 miles in your case. No idea about your front diff. as in what you have & need to service, If you do not want to change the spark plugs then do not. Look at the Air Filter and maybe shake it, vacuum it or blow with an air line and do not change it. Same with the pollen filter maybe, that depends on the state of it. Clean the area where it is. Next year have the brake fluid tested for the H2o content.
