Dead 12V Battery?
Maybe more relevant if ID4,s require a Service Campaign / Recall Action as that is more "potato/potato" with the Enyaq and bother were launched after VW already knew ID.3's were having issues.

Winter roads, ice, snow and wet or dry driving in an EV..
I have only ever had Valve Sensors with BMW's that showed actual pressures and they were used on the rims with the winters on. Only the simple 'TPMS 'warning' comes up on the Corsa and it did last week and once before that and the pressures were as they had been set cold and when checked out. Maybe there is some caliper binding and a rim was hot at some point. I must check the wheel centre heat next time i get a warning.

What's your opinion on dpf cleaner additives?
The TDI's that have SCR use AdBlue which is in a tank and needs refilling as required. This was a Daimler-Benz (Mercedes) system that VW bought into, and the Defeat Device Scandal came about because they cheated because huge tanks would have been needed to hold enough AdBlue for a year if it was being used as it should to really lower emissions. There were Diesels that had the required bags of fluid that were filled at services or the bags replaced. Renault, Citroen, Peugeot's and others had that system. As to Petrols and GPF's time will tell if there are more issues than the few that have been had by members on here. VW are not that up on telling the price of replacing GPF's. There are various GPF threads in the different sections. As there are on DPF's, SCR / AdBlue, including topping up. GPF's. Includes regen info. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/479195-car-behaving-strangely http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/489435-something-not-right-20-tsi-190

Extended Warranty Policy Document?
They are not telling you because they do not know. It is not covered in not a Design / Manufacturing / Material Fault. Premature failure can be easy to consider but once past the Manufacturers 3 years warranty in the UK the failure is hardly premature. The first 30 minutes of a diagnostic was £60 until recently in Skoda UK's Service & Maintenance Fix Price Menu. If the diagnosis is paid for but the Warranty covers the repairs or replacing parts then you get your money back. If not then some that get the job of doing the paid work do not charge for the diagnostics. Still shows as £60. At participating dealers, cars 3-10 years old.

Winter roads, ice, snow and wet or dry driving in an EV..
@wyx087 With ICE Automatics i have never been able to do that that very well for the past 45 years as i only have one foot and even light pressure on the brake pedal stops the vehicle without cleaning the discs. I can not use the accelerator and brake to keep a car running long enough so need to go to a long steep hill. Winter long steep hills in my area are not good for using brakes on people tend to use gears. Not that many vehicles i have ever had really get rusty discs other than VW Group cars. As it is with my Corsa-e it takes quite a lot of braking to clean the discs and you need to be getting a shift on and as i know the car near stands on its nose if the Rusty Brakes are applied. The roads oop north and in the countryside anywhere are rather different as far salt / grit, freezing / wet and slick roads quite regularly from those in other parts / cities. Rear Drums are a bit of a saving grace on EV's as long as they are well designed and manufactured and main dealership servicing will mean wheels are removed and drums removed and cleaned / serviced.

Winter roads, ice, snow and wet or dry driving in an EV..
My brake discs are Reed we roost today. VW were right fitting rear drums to their EV,s. My type of PSA car is said to not have one pedal driving. Well true you need to touch the brake pedal to come to a complete halt. But that is not cleaning cosmetic rust off the discs and other than braking where the slowing is done by the pads on the discs to skoor the rust off the regen slowing is not cleaning them. As to the e-brake that is not usable to clean the rears. So it looks like I will need to go driving and actually skooring the roosty discs. But then that is going to be totally against the way I drive. At least not icy just now so I can actually go hit the anchors a bit. I expect the discs to get scored with me doing that.

What total nonsense about UK Supermarket Diesel. Or even world wide. More than half the cars and greater than half of vehicles in the UK are using diesel and more than half of that comes from Super Market forecourts or the Fleet / Depots are supplied with the same diesel from the suppliers like Greenergy that is the biggest road fuel supplier in the UK. https://www.greenergy.com/uk https://www.allstarcard.co.uk/news-insights/fuel-and-fleet/fleet-news/supermarket-fuel Look at the Diesel Pump you use and see if you can see a Cetane number. https://jct600.co.uk/blog/fuel-types-explained The OP is in Romania. @BogdanB If your DPF is clogging then you will have to deal with that and Additives are not going to be the asnswer. Do you now the ash level your car has?

inspection
^^^ Hopefully that does it. Whoever reset the Oil Service' last time never reset the 'Inspection', maybe because they never knew how to. If it was a Skoda Dealership then have them reset it. If it was an Independent then maybe it is as simple as they could not reset it.

Extended Warranty Policy Document?
Dealerships have a Dealer Principal a Finance Director, someone that acts as a Warranty Manager, a Head Sales Person, so get answers from one of them and maybe not a Service Desk Person who might have a NVQ if Keyboard / Phone Skills even though that should been enough for them to know who to actually ask. Skoda UK Customer Services know which person to get answers from. If you purchase a Warranty / Extended Warranty for the 4th or 5th year which is an Insurance /Financial Agreement make sure you get the Policy Document so you have the T&C.s. The seller is responsible to provide this and a seller could easily mis-sell if they do not know the product. They are an agent for the Underwriters / Skoda / VW or which ever sub division of them that are the Warranty Company. https://www.skoda.co.uk/owners/warranty https://insurewithskoda.co.uk/extended-warranty SKODA_Warranty_Terms_November_2021.pdf 36172_SKODA_Approved_Used_Warranty_Dec20_SINGLES.pdf

Skoda Octavia mk3 2016 led conversion
There will be ones in Use & Construction or Road Compliance or whatever. A UK MOT is just a vehicle tested on the day. Owners are expected to keep their vehicle safe and roadworthy & compliant until the next MOT. A Qualified Police Examiner will soon enough make out a report showing a vehicle modified to not meet with the Traffic Laws or Legislation if there are contraventions.

The Brake Fluid is not changed usually at Services unless paid extra for and maybe not even with a 'Service Plan', Main dealership techs do not routinely check for H2o content. The VIN Checker might not show all Service Campaign / Recall Actions when using a VIN, or the action might have been carried out. Check that if interested. Only started in 2017 and lots of cars with a DQ200 have been missed, even Skoda Approved Used Cars or Main Dealership used cars. The DSG is what i am posting about, 7 speed twin dry clutch. Preventive measure with the software update. As fitted to 1.4 TSI / Petrols & 1.6 TDI's. I never posted the link to the Skoda Recall Actions because of the TDI Defeat Device Cheat Fix.

2021 F1 Discussion
Happy to be able to watch this on poverty TV that i pay for a TV licence to be able to view. Almost exciting waiting to see if the engines hold out on the 'important' cars. Almost exciting waiting to hear the complaints and arguments after the race.

Skoda Octavia mk3 2016 led conversion
@Dan815 Welcome to the forum. Your Country Road drives are likely as everyone else's country road drives, dark when it is dark. Maybe an idea to keep your Dipped Beam and Full Beam legal and not cause visibility issues to other drivers, cyclists / pedestrians is convert your Fog Lights to Spot Lights which you can switch on or off as needed in addition to your full beam when required. Or fit a LED Light Bar discretely and use that when where you drive needs more lighting up than other road users require to drive safely at 60 mph or lower.

New matrix headlights
@J.R. I go through a lots of Windscreen Wash on trips, even on clean clear roads, if they want to stick on my jacksy too close for their reactions or the cars 'safety / auto braking' or expect me to have their excessive amount of lighting in my mirrors then i have their Auto Wash doing the job for them as my fragrant fluids is hitting their screen. Childish i know but i no longer brake test others.

Octavia Saloon
Welcome. If a FMDSH or FSH what does it show actually done? Has it been on Fixed Service / Annual Servicing or Variable / flexible? Have the spark plugs been changed in the past 6/7 years. They might best be replaced if no record. The Brake fluid at least once. That needs done if not or at least the fluid tested. Look at the Air filter and see the condition. Change if required. Look at the Pollen / Cabin filter and replace if required. The DQ200 DSG does not require servicing / oil changes. Maybe Service Campaign '34H5' was done since 2017 or needs doing, a Software Update', check with Skoda UK or a main dealership. On some cars 2013-2015 with a DQ200 DSG. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions PS The Cambelt advice will be given because the car / engine is over 5 years old regardless of mileage.

Brake Lights Staying On
When Service Books came in Mk2 Fabia up to about 2012/13 the Alarm was a replacement item on the 5th Service when they were still showing the Services as Minor(inspection) and Major year about. So at a Minor (Inspection) Service as Skoda UK had it at the time. That was when 'Body Inspections' were on the page after a Service for the sake of the Paint / Corrosion warranty. That which Skoda UK says these days there is no record of even though they advertise the Body Inspection as part of main dealer servicing on the Fixed Price Servicing and maintenance.

Delivery times?
Speculation / guessing. As much is happening in this thread.
-
Delivery times?
Anything read in this thread was not Posted by Skoda CZ and needs taken with a pinch of salt. So does Media Publications / links to articles from journalists unless it is showing a Press Release from Skoda or VW. All cars for the UK will be right hand drive as will be for Ireland but the Specs / models are different. Then the UK ones are paid for in GBP and the Irish in Euro.

Alternative Diesel Fuel ?
A source of cheap fuel is LPG but not bought from filling stations but taken from home heating tanks or Agricultural places that have it for Grain Driers / building heating etc. Also an illegal means of getting road fuels and without markers in the fuel.

EV real world range and cost to charge
I will charge as required to do the trips I need to and during the trips and the car will be handed back in 21 months or sooner if it misbehaves. That is just as many do now with EV,s they drive be those from their employment, leased or owned. I spoke to a owner of a new Long Range MG on Thursday. He had owned a Leaf and then a MG EV which he loved and he has just got the new Long Range. He says it is not coping with the cold as well as his other car did over winters. There is a greater drop than he had expected in range. This week i will probably use the car for 6-10 miles max per day & that will be an average speed of like 13 mph doing under a mile each time, and then i will charge with double the kW each day has used until i am at 98% on Thursday night. That will be on 7kW charging. When at 98% on Thursday i will see what range is showing before then going on a long run. When just in town it does work it out as just over 2 miles per kWh and might stick at 68 miles. If i stick it on a 50 kW charger it will give the car a kick up the bum and the range would show nearer an range over 100 miles, probably 118 miles or 124.

Alternative Diesel Fuel ?
@VanhireBoys You are posting your illegal activity on a public forum. The Revenue & Garda are not totally stupid Derv is not going to be unavailability as long as HGV's are on roads. How will more cars be sold because diesel and petrol cars can not be sold sometime in the future. People will just still be buying cars as they do because they want the cars and not all petrols or diesels will be getting scrapped soon. Maybe E10 petrol will cause the demise sooner of cars in the UK that have Engine Management lights coming on that owners can not get to extinguish. Your alternative fuel being illegal to use as road fuel in Ireland / EU & avoiding tax and duty just as it is in the UK is the issue? Organised crime groups have been selling much the same for long enough. It is not the same as using Waste Cooking oil / Bio under the HMRC rules as in the UK.

Latest EV's with Tail Lights that are the whole width of the rear of the car. WTF is it with some Designers / Manufacturers?
eg Kia at the moment with the EV6. There are others. How soon until there are ones with faulty rear lighting going about?

New matrix headlights
If people are flashing you with their full beam or spotlights then your lights are likely sh!te, set wrong, not working as some designer / engineer thought they might and managed to get passed by the EU / type Approved, just like cornering lights shining at other drivers / riders as you are stopped with lock on and at junctions, traffic lights etc. The Matrix system can work as it is supposed to and designed to and at times is blinding / annoying other drivers or road users who think you have not dipped the full beam because you have not and the light / beam has appeared to them like full beam which is what it can be. PITA as anyone might well notice when someone with the crappy lights come towards them. I have them on my car and have driven other cars with them and now do the dipping manually. On empty roads and coming into towns / villages i am OK leaving the Auto to dip the lights.

EV real world range and cost to charge
@lol-lol Charge Place Scotland have not recorded my usage last night in Auchterarder but they have the 2 chargers at Dunblane. The first being when on the AC next to the Tesla and my car was showing it was getting no charge then i went onto a 7kW AC. The Ingilston Park and ride is weird. I charged to 95% on the CCS and then unplugged and let a guy with a Jag use it and i put 4% in using the AC on the same charger and that ran at 7kW which is more than i was getting from 90% to 95%. Often i stop charging CCS and fill the rest on AC if i am just sitting about waiting. The usual i get on a CCS if topping up to 98 or 99% before setting off is 33-35 kW in an hour or nearly. 33-35 kW from near empty is just a 30-35 minutes on a 50kW charger working well.
