Software Update Recall/Campaigns
Skoda Recall Actions or Service Campaigns AKA Skoda Secret Service Campaigns which are on a 'Need to know basis', and owners need not know and TPI's are very different from actual RECALLS. Even DVLA Safety Critical RECALLS where the Dealers / Manufacturers get the Registered Owners does not ensure VW Group / Skoda contact Registered Keepers. Tell the DVSA / DVLA and they really could not care less. Tell Skoda / VW Customer Services and they could be French as they shrug their shoulders. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-recall

Superb IV DSG left in neutral issue?
Just try it and see. But why would you want to do that, the foot brake operates the brake lights.? Just use the brakes or use the e-Brake or stick with Autohold when you have that.

Electric Brake and Auto Hold....
If doing a standing start in S you might want to try then another time try with TC off. The reason being that if there is wheel spin with TC on then power can be cut. TC off and there might be wheelspin, grip and go. Then winter / snow / ice and getting moving the owners manual tells you about TC off. Same with snow chains fitted. PS. If you want brake lights off then N and parking brake on.

DSG clunk noise when downshifting
2 oils in this 7 speed twin dry clutch DSG, that in the box and that for the MCU. Different from the wet clutch DSG,s with oil change service schedules, the same oil does both.

Superb IV DSG left in neutral issue?
Exactly, when a short stop. Many stops might not be short. Traffic works, gridlock traffic in rush hours, morning or night in inclement weather. Cats and dogs etc. If at the back of the queue common sense will want you to have the brake lights on. As to other situations like not last one there is choice, like Parking brake. Like no rear fog lights on.

Locking wheel nuts
@Joss1733do you know you will be able to change a wheel yet? Do you have a means of getting the caps off and have you checked that the supplied wheel brace will loosen the bolts as tightened if they were ever touched at the service or are as they left the factory. ie, no need for a 2ft pipe as an extension on the wheel brace.

Reduce oil level - Error message after service
@ERIK99 As it turns out it is rather. If the engine oil is overfilled, or as it is you think it is. Maybe not important to you what their charge per unit is. It is nice to know the Consumables / Parts Numbers. But then they have that on their records which they can share with you. They might show Units as 0.5 litres or litres, but nice to know if the tech actually showed at a Oil & filter service that they put on the work Sheet more Units than the capacity of the engine, or required at services. Also they show the correct spec.

Vauxhall Corsa electric 2020 Fault (maybe faults) in first 6 weeks & various over the next 3 years.
I have been waiting to see how he got on. Mine has bugs now between the Car and Smart phone. It does not often show percentage of battery now on phone App, and even stops showing on the phone while the car is charging and phone is connected by cable. But i have still not put the car in for the 2 Service Campaign / Recall update, once Arnold Clark give me a car for the day, or longer if they mess up it will go in.

Reduce oil level - Error message after service
It take it you pay for the service or paid with a plan. Best you know on an invoice what goes into your car and what price the cheaper old spec or the newer oil which is more expensive. Or do they go with VW502 and the Fixed service interval oil, cheaper again by a little. The recommended oil is VW508 00 for your car for lower emissions. That is what VW group did for the WLTP and RDE. But seeing as they are on fixed services some dealers might just decide ignore that and use VW504.

Reduce oil level - Error message after service
Ps, just out of interest have they used VW508 00 / 509 00 so 0w 20 FS IV, or just VW504 00/507 00, so 5w 30 FS III or even 0w 30 FS III,? These plug in hybrids are not that green needing to be on Fixed oil and filter regimes. Some run on mostly electric will use more oil than if it was a 2 Stroke. Low petrol and high oil just being put in then changed each year or 9,400 miles.

Reduce oil level - Error message after service
See your owners manual and the warning on overfilling and the diagram with area A. You need them to correct their staff members error. It is a problem if the oil level is that high when the oil is checked as per the owners manual. At normal operating temperature parked on the flat and after the engine stopped for a few minutes. Not dipped cold. Some Skoda manuals wrongly say warm. If overfilled have the dealership remove the extra oil and log their employees error. And have them say how much over capacity they filled it. They can send out a master tech or Skoda assist to remove oil. You should not be inconvenienced. If you have to go to then ask for expenses. Their hourly rate is fair. Or they could do the next oil change for free.

Superb IV DSG left in neutral issue?
If it is part of a safety set up then it will be on all models now from the VW group that have 'Autohold' for the global market. Pity that it is not in line with the UK market and the Highway code as it is. It was not across all VW Group vehicles a while back. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/497760-code-out-brake-lights-on-autohold

Hi All...
@Shaft7 Welcome to the forum. There were driving instructors on the forum that had Mk2 Fabia vRS and used them for tuition. One of those went on to use a Polo GTI 1.8TSI DSG for the same job.

Superb IV DSG left in neutral issue?
If an ICE engine is sitting running / ticking over and it is in Neutral or D or S and autohold is functioning there is a load on the battery. Heater / AC, Radio, DRLs or lights etc.

Bikes inside the Yeti

Locking wheel nuts
There should be a security bolt on each wheel and a socket in the kit to get them off. Also a tweezer to get the caps off the bolts. So best look and see if there is one cover bigger than the other 4 and if you can get it off without the tweezer and if there is a security bolt then search search and search again.

Service Schedule/Details..?
Brake fluid is worth checking with a tester to see what the H20 content is. It would get done at services if the access was right in front of the tech / fitters nose.

Potential new owner DSG advice
@Expatman Did your 2012 DQ200 DSG require '347F' or '34H5' carried out, or was it a late 2012 which got neither? These are ones that have been failing and should have had action on them, there are owners that have paid dearly because Skoda / VW said they needed nothing doing. eg http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/315115-service-campaign-dq200-dsg-oil-changeecu-update-fabias-in-uk/page/9 @logiclee Maybe unlucky, or just able to notice when a DSG is not performing as it should do. Plenty drive normally and might not even be aware of clutch slip and the car goes into trade and a new owner gets landed with them. Many never get the Software Updates or the attention they need before there is a failure. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/467007-mechatronic-unit-2013-yeti-dsg The public will never know the failure rate of ones in warranty or out of and the VW Group are not telling what percentage expire prematurely. Not all post on social media but those that work with auto transmissions know how many enquiries come their way about DQ200's. There is plenty work for those doing repairs or producing kits for repairs.

Superb IV DSG left in neutral issue?
In D or S there is no issue stopped when using Autohold (front and rear brakes are on), or having your foot on the brake. The System / DSG is designed to sit happily doing no harm to it's self. The clutch does the job it should. The Stop / Start can be on or off. Remember that your car might have the rear Brake Lights on in Autohold the same as if the foot is on the brakes. Some might go to N and apply the e-Brake / Parking brake if stopped a while with someone behind. That does no harm, takes more effort, might have those behind feeling they are waiting on you getting moving. @BPL Lots get recommended on here for various vehicles and different DSG's. Was the recommendation concerning a DSG on a car with Autohold, and an e-Brake and stop / start, and was it about DQ200 Dry Clutch DSG's or Wet Clutch DSG's?

Need help please.
@Patrickk Welcome to the forum. ? Which country did you get the bad fuel and was it at a legal filling station? Did you take a sample and are there not others that got bad fuel at the same place? I hate that 'Were there is blame there is a claim', but is there not in this case if Bad Fuel purchased kills the car.

Automatic gear box problems
@Petzl maybe look at the thread in the Yeti section now on a member looking at a car with a DSG and see the thread by @logiclee. It is 6 years since Mk2 Fabia were built with DQ200,s. Since then Skoda have had DQ200 issues with components and software and made changes and updates. There are now DQ200,s in the e-Tech 1.0 and 1.5,s. The DQ200,s now should be as good as they will be after over as decade of some Co-ckups from the VW group. The new MK4 Fabia will have the 1.5 TSI with DQ200 DSG.

Two services for £79
Just £79 & Oil & Filter service times 2, and the look see and report, and look harder the 2nd service than at the first one. 'Extended Scope!'. Free Vacuum & Wash, the Road Test, the diagnostic check, and Update Enhancements, Report. @MATT1 If you just say which Skoda Dealership charged you over £115 to fit 3 spark plugs while carrying out your service that was Pre Paid i will try to be sure they get the 'Good Publicity' they deserve by coming up in the Top Ten of a Google search. The Directors, Dealer Principal & Skoda UK will be grateful of the publicity they receive, so much so they might refund you the over £115. There is the Briskoda Dealers Section in which you could post a review. http://briskoda.net/forums/forum/289-skoda-dealer-reviews
