  1. Instead of searching online maybe call in person at a Local Motor Factors, or into an Independent Tyre and Exhausts centre or a Specialist Exhaust fitter rather than part of a Multi National. But they are worth checking as well. I have had places like that fit parts or systems cheaper than I could get then and fit myself.
  2. The cars over read on the Speedo with OEM tyres by about 3 mph at a displayed 70 mph. You are only doing 67 mph. The very small extra sidewall increase you will get with the taller tyres will only have the Speedo reading more accurately. The difference that the height of the lowest parts of the cars you are trying to protect is only that between Ooo and Ahh as the as actress said.
  3. @Bill65 Skoda had up to 55,000 cars sitting unfinished waiting for parts to allow them to get off to dealerships. They had a great first 6 months of the years delivering more cars than they did in the first half of 2019. So that is why there is no stock sitting to be snapped up and no need for dealerships getting demonstrators to keep First Registration number appearing higher by VW selling cars to themselves. What they have done is ensure the Average C02 of cars First Registered is low enough that VW Group will not be paying a penalty like they had to in 2021.
  4. Too big then. A little smaller is acceptable with one corner. Not a bigger / taller tyre. https://tiresize.com/tyre-size-calculator/ Someone will by it. Briskoda Classified adverts, for sale.
  5. Best sit next to the tyres on the car and see how it compares. Best try it on the car and be sure it is a 5 x 100 pattern that will fit, just incase someone stuck that in the car and it is the wrong fitment. IF YOU HAVE POSTED IN THE FABIA MK2 SECTION IN ERROR IGNORE THAT. ? IS IT AN OCTAVIA YOU HAVE WITH THE 16" RIMS & TYRES? It is a Spare Wheel / Tyre to use in an emergency. As many are, slightly different Circumference / Total Diameter from the ones on the car, slow down and treat it as an odd one out. If you have to put it on reset the TPMS when you do, then when the original is fixed or replaced check all pressures, set as you want and reset the TPMS.
  6. @Mikerp Spark Plugs last lots longer than 10,000 miles. (Except one plug often in a 1.4 TSI Twincharger.) But you have no idea if the Tech put the plugs in without checking all 4's gap, or if they knocked one, Or even really replaced all 4. But that might be a red herring, but then the Dealership has not diagnosed the fault. It should not be a Misfire, a plug worn or the likes, but then when i was a mechanic we checked anyway. 10 minutes spent doing a diagnostic, or a check on past work others did. @nta16 Point i am making is TPMS Faults are something the Owners manual tells you to check for. Check system, check tyre pressures. The TPMS worked if a light showed and there was a puncture. So was not Faulty. Big difference is it not, faulty system, or working system.
  7. Best get them checked then. All 4 out. Not going to mention E10 fuel as that should have no affect with Euro 6 1.2 TSI's or any other modern cars, but must just say..... @nta16I take it it was not a TPMS Fault that showed, (it was not faulty) but the TPMS working and showing a tyres circumference had changed. As to 'Misfires' not having Fault Codes logged, i mean on Dealership / Licensed Professional Equipment not just 'cheap or not cheap' DIY code readers.
  8. @janewalker55 Autohold is great and locks the brakes on when stationary and in D or S and all is well. Engine running or Stop / Start having stopped the car. But if you put the Shifter into N then the Autohold will no longer be holding the car and you need your foot on the brake pedal or apply the e-Brake / Parking brake if it is not on automatically. The e-Brake is on or off and working on the rear wheels. Autohold has the 4 brakes operating and if the car moves it applies more pressure on the brakes.
  9. I am sure a Euro 6 1.2 TSI can have misfires that have the EPC light come on and yet not have any fault code logged. Going into limp mode should though.
  10. How many miles has the car done? Were the spark plugs changed at the last Service. If they were changed does the invoice show what were fitted? You can get misfires that can cause the EPC light to come on and yet no misfire code logged because not enough in a cycle.
  11. I loved running ethanol and used to when I could. Amazing how well Skoda Citigo do in South America where they are running on lots of Ethanol. They did get bigger fuel tanks than Citigo have in Europe.
  12. @classicExactly. Well there are friends in Norway where they got them into the Dealerships first and in time for some winter left. @BGB Might be able to comment. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/480548-skoda-enyaq/page/11
  13. Thanks @Kenny RThat was said before and i would think you are right.. Then there is the discussion to be had on are DQ380 on a 40,000 miles Oil change and DQ381 @ 80,000. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/459193-gearbox-my2019 http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/466051-15-dsg-dq381 http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/477278-kodiaq-15-tsi-dsg
  14. There is no Servicing of a DQ200 DSG, no oil change or any other Service Actions. (There are people that have changed the Oil and VW Group changed the Oil from Synthetic to Mineral from 2013/14 on in their World Wide Recall of millions and the Service Campaign in Europe.) But then you will still be told they are filled for life, because the is no Maintenance Schedule.
  15. He is so 'Green' & so concerned about the environment. Not! He knows full well that 2013 / 14 EV's are not being scrapped because of Battery Degradation, not even 11 year old ones. Many in the UK this week would have been happy to have one even if the range was only 80 miles from a charge. The Batteries will be reused and are not needing as much energy to reuse / recycle as producing from new. The rest of the car can be recycled just as a ICE vehicle can.
  16. Evil Bay & Amazon. Green Flash EV stickers.
  17. So not necessarily scrap then. Not worth leaving at a Tyre Centre & being charged for disposal if they will not do a repair and it can be used in the future for a spare, or even go on if another tyre gets wrecked.
  18. Those that have actually used an Enyaq in cold weather are going to have the best idea. Not many of those about then.
  19. That is the issue with Skoda Main Dealers and Full Main Dealer Servicing, that does not mean serviced to Manufacturers Recommendations or Guidelines. They do not call them a Schedule as many Skoda Approved Cars would then be 'Not serviced as according to the Manufacturers Service Schedule'. The 4 years here is wrong with the DSG, but many dealers are now counting on people paying attention.
  20. @James48 Has the Haldex been serviced at 3 years or 30,000 miles?
  21. Good thread revival. The tyre is only scrap where someone can not be bothered to clean out the gloop, and then do a plug repair properly. So that will be tyre and exhaust centre operatives or lazy owners usually. Tight people like me just get on with not scrapping perfectly good tyres.
  22. @plutusUnlikely anyone refers to US Gallons concerning Skoda models as they are not sold in the US. 1 Imperial Gallon = 4.546 litres. (No fuel is sold in Gallons in the UK and has not been for many years. 1 US Gallon = 3.785 litres.
  23. Fixed Price Oil & Inspection Service, cars 3-10 years old on Fixed Regime. £185, the Extended Scope bit is another £60.
  24. @smipxIf you are watching economy now and then by maybe late October and early November the conditions you drive under and the ambient temp is much the same you might see if any change when Winter Spec petrol is in filling stations in the South West. Consumption might even get better as long as it is just a bit colder but you are not only doing short trips. No need for defrosting and messing about.
  25. @Doombar 1.5 TSI's with front wheel drive & 7 speed twin dry clutch DQ200 DSG's do not require DSG Services.
