Nuff said right enough. So much in your head that it blurs your vision. Skoda take sales from other Manufacturers / Dealerships. There are people that would not buy or lease a VW or Audi that buy or lease a Skoda or SEAT.

Skoda do not even reach 100,000 sales or first registrations in a year. Under 76,000 in the UK in 2019. VW sales or first registrations is rather higher then that.... Like more than 10 times that this year already. But then the sell commercials as well as passenger cars. If people want a Fabia there are ones available now. They are a different size of car in a different class. If Skoda / VW / SEAT or Audi wanted an EV that size then they could have ones as others have already on sale. There are 2 pedal Fabia available currently. If and when the Mk4 Fabia appears it has DSG's in the 1.0 or 1.5 TSI's they will be with Mild Hybrids as that is the only way Skoda / VW can get the WLTP & RDE2 results needed from the emissions for 2021/22 vehicles.
  3. If they are still on i would be getting 'Skoda Assist' to send someone out to read the fault codes if there are any and reset them and have the 'glitch' logged. That is if you are not near to a dealership where you can visit and have the same done. If you do not tell them then they tell owners 'Never heard of that before'.
  4. But then the Governments and their experts and the car manufacturers know that, but they are happy to go along with that & the kidology. http://bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-54170207
  5. Dead simple really, drive with the Sidelights on if it is not lighting up time / poor visibility, or the DRL's if just front lights are needed for you to be seen. If there is a tunnel you drive into turn on the dipped lights and turn off when not needed. It worked for decades and now there is so little to driving a car you might as well be doing something manually.
  6. @Aspman Early RAV4's did well at 4x4 events like Tyro's. I have no experience of any built in the past 10 years.
  7. @Andrew245 I had a 2016 TDI DSG SCR Alhambra until last November.. Never raced or rallied, well not on the road. After 2 years it had enough of the occasional week where it only did a few miles for maybe 5 days in a row and the blocked DPF light started taking longer and longer to go out. It would happily sit and do a regen while parked until people passing would be scared that it was going to catch fire. Still sitting unsold at a Dealership, someone has dodged a bullet with that car. Good for around near 60 mpg on runs and not 20 mpg if used for 5 days and maybe only 20 miles.
  8. @Aspman Probably this is the right time to get a Skoda Yeti then. The sensible classless choice for the man about town & country, does all that any Small AWD SUV needs to be able to do. All Terrain tyres on 16" rims, blacked out rear windows. Bolted in secure gun case in the rear and you are sorted.
  9. They put 1 year warranty on vehicles that if you just bought a warranty for it it could be rejected because the car was no Serviced to the manufacturers guidelines. There are members that have posted about collecting cars and finding issues that they were told would be rectified and they take the car and find more like accident damage and poor repairs and still have to fight for the right to party.
  10. All the options except the feather duster. Most fun in rear wheel drive.
  11. Sadly 'Skoda Approved' counts for very little these days & not always worth the premium prices. It is still 'buyer beware'. A FMDSH with a 'Approved Skoda' does not mean Serviced to the Manufacturers Schedule or Guidelines. This means that the likes of DSG / Haldex Servicing or brake fluid changes might not have been carried out. Skoda UK Customer Services are not really interested in what their Approved Dealerships do if they sell a 'Approved Used Skoda' with issues.
  12. Comes up on Ebay / Amazon / Wish etc key words like. High temperature reflective engine bay thermal acoustic bonnet insulation glass mat Engine compartment insulation fire wall sound deadening stick on
  13. So it would be the same on Shell regular diesel and it is the v-Power making the difference. Regular Supermarket Filling Station or Shell, BP, Esso, Gulf, Texaco Diesel and the likes of Miller's Additive could do the same.
  14. @Aspman I have a 2010 SX4 currently, (no clearance) so you can forget that, had lifted Jimny's, had old Vitaras and Automatic Pandas back in the day. None are vehicles for going to Field Sports / Shooting. A more modern Vitara maybe. A Subaru Forester is a better bet. Or even a Legacy Estate. Or drive what others drive into where you are going and then drive out of again, or get the same as the vehicle that tows out those that fail. Maybe a LWB Shogun. PS If you are interested £5,000 will buy my SWB Shogun Van. Comfort @ 26 mpg any and everyday. (That is better than a Jimny on Mud Tyres...) With 12 month MOT. 3.2 DiD Automatic, 2 seater (Full Leather / Heated) on CrossClimates. All the gears and easy to get places without much of an idea about 4x4's.
  15. The issues were known when the vehicles were less than 2 years old. The Timing Chain Tensioner issue from the date before VW got an upgrade is just that, an early production fault. The Acctuator faults were part of Service Campaigns and TPI's and early on had replacement Turbos & Actuators being done under warranty, and out of warranty owners were often told they could not just get an accuator and needed the Turbo replaced. People were being told that just in the past weeks. So they were Design or Manufacturing failings and have been addresses eventually or not as the case is.
  16. @chris-t I read that. & that you had been running CrossClimates for a good few years . So just wondered how much tread left if you were running them on this car & before fitting one new CrossClimate. Surely you will be doing that on a Superb AWD.
  17. 0-60 officially 7.6 seconds. 0-62 officially 8.1. Actually, try it.
  18. Cheeky barstewards. Best buy a new pair of CrossClimates, and put one off the car as a spare and get a refund from the chancers. ? How worn are the 3 tyres still on the car? http://tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Evergreen/Dynacontrol-EU728.htm
  19. @Schtum No idea. I would say there has been Land Rovers there for around 6 years at least. I went there for my breakfast regularly and to the ship chandlers.
  20. The emissions on a 1.0tsi 95 ps DSG are ridiculous. If anyone wants them maybe best get them while you can. Surely Skoda can not have many getting registered when they need the Average Co2 g/km low.
