Warning, ⚠️ Only leave vehicle in position P.
I did the same today. Warning triangle persisted until I'd gone for a drive, now it's clear. But next time (as if there'll be a next time) I would scan for those P1735/P1736 error codes before buying the piggyback switch and doing the work

DSG issue - possible mechatronic unit
I don't understand. If it is throwing all sorts of error codes this points to a wiring fault, probably something gross like a loose multi-pin connector. WTF has it got to do with the DSG? If there is something possibly wrong with the DSG then you need someone who knows how to properly diagnose and fix the problem. There is no excuse for main dealers to be selling you possible guess fixes at ££££ cost to you.

I have the same 190bhp 2.0TSI and it is nicely economical when you want it to be.

Leave selector in position P => will it pass the MOT?
Ah OK thanks. May give me some breathing room. I think I will try to resolve it sooner or later anyway.

Leave selector in position P => will it pass the MOT?
I have seen something about a wiring harness plug-in near the selector lever, is that the way?

Leave selector in position P => will it pass the MOT?
It is the common one. Leave vehicle with selector in position P. Take me to a dealer. I get it at random times. I suppose I could try and scan it with my dongle and the app. If I can find the dongle. I'll give that a try.

Leave selector in position P => will it pass the MOT?
My DSG started displaying this message a month or two ago. I believe it is a faulty switch and a common problem and I have been ignoring it until now. The MOT is due in July, will it fail the MOT because of the unresolved yellow warning triangle?

Windscreen washer pump replacement
Car is now five years old and the windscreen washer has stopped working front and rear. The wipers still work so from looking on here I surmise the pump has died. How do I get to the pump? Is it located below the washer fluid reservoir. How much dismantling. I don't need to use the car every day so I can afford to take off the old pump before ordering the replacement. Car is a Mk3 facelift.

Octavia 3 vRS TDI 184 EGR Delete
I always thought the EGR doesn't affect performance, it only cleans up emissions when the car is sat in traffic. Unplugged it on my old 406HDi when it started getting stuck in the closed position.

VRS STEREO
Hello and welcome. It is possible to do that as folk have shown before, but it is not simple. There are some threads on here going back a few years. There was someone called Sasha Grace (or similar) who heavily modded her VRS and kept a long thread on the subject, you'd have to search for it, and she has moved on to a different car now (but possibly still on this forum). Buying a phone holder would be much simpler and less costly. Good luck,

Planning for a newer Octavia
Winter pack is very nice to have for defrosting and first ten minutes of driving in winter. Once you're on the motorway it makes no difference
