  1. Will be curious as to the answers as mine is the same.
  2. Well done that is a very well put together project.
  3. It doesn't. It was simply my solution to a problem that worked for me.
  4. On SII I originally had some wear but I then used one of the seat memory buttons for getting out of the car (it went fully back). When I got back in I pressed the driving position and the seat went forward. No further wear in 7 years.
  5. Unlikely but it is not a military type security area. Is it.
  6. Try one of those magnet on a flexible shaft. Mine is about16 inches long. The engine and gearbox are aluminium and it is only the very end that has the magnet so it should not deviate trying to stick to the body to much, that is what I have found. It may not lift it up (weight) but it might move it to be more accessible. Good luck.
  7. Ah but if you then what you know now you might have chosen different numbers on the Lottery and not been too bothered about what car you would choose.
  8. Do you mean the service was on the 17th August 2018 and not last month or am I missing something.
  9. There are plenty of shops that sell cheap AA and AAA batteries.
  10. I read those comments. Me thinks that they are comment that are extracted from a longer comment that changes the context ever so slightly.
  11. It would help if you stated what car, engine, year, model and trim level you have and then post that in the correct section. It will then be seen by those much better suited to answer your problem.
  12. I have ventilated seats on my Superb II, 12 plate reg that I bought new April 2012 and would always specify it now.
  13. Just checked mine. All components with nil excess. Just over £1240!
  14. Although the dehumidifier will take out some moisture you will get the most from the newspapers and towels being changed often. You will not get to 30% RH as the RH around Sheffield at the moment is 68%, which is relatively low. It is quite an expensive way and very inefficient unless you can seal the area from ambient air.
  15. Did they do the full DSG service at the last service? If not as noted earlier it might be the source of your problem.
  16. Ah! but is it a dead spider or simply the old skin that it grew out of.
  17. Dehumidifier will need help by lifting all the carpets up and fixing the water entry point.
  18. You will I believe find, if you look at the trip data (it does on mine) use more fuel out of gear than by allowing the car to coast in gear and by dropping down gears as you need to as you slow down.
  19. That is very cheap if it is including the cost of the lamp, which by that price must be using a salvage yard source for the headlight. They are I believe a £1000 new from a dealer. Don't forget that they are xenon lights.
  20. Ditto Chris. On one occasion mine took nearly four days. I had gone back to the dealer who did reset it and asked me to be patient. I was on my way back to the dealer when it reset, hence the near four day.
