  1. I would have thought the first one in a Superb II.
  2. Ordered some new plates for the Superb.... The current one's were what i had made for my vRS when i got it back in 2006 and are getting a little jaded..... Plus i think i'm getting a little too old for the sarcy comments i had put along the bottom..... Even if they are still relevant to the current car.
  3. I've used millers with standard diesel for the first 18 months of having the car (June 2014 till end of last year) Then seeing as fuel has been so cheap i've been using BP Ultimate or Shell V-Power diesel since my last bottle of Millers ran out. MPG seems to be roughly the same so i'll probably stick as i am till fuel shoots back up and it works out a lot cheaper to use the Millers again. Just easier too not having to get it out of the boot before filling from the pump etc.... Also bear in mind that my commute is just under 25 miles each way of which around 22 miles is motorway and i work 12hr days / nights which start or finish at 0600 / 0700 and 1800 / 1900 so usually nice clear runs which helps the fuel economy. (I usually get high 50's / low 60's mpg going to work and low 50's mpg coming home).
  4. I have them in the Superb in the mainbeam as the dip are Bi-xenon and they are a world better than the OEM halogen mainbeam that they replaced.
  5. The mrs and myself got our letters a few weeks ago.... I was on the sim only 30 day One Plan (Something like 5000 minutes and texts and unlimited data) at £18 per month. The plan they wanted me to move to was 30 day Unlimited everything for something like £30 per month. I only make a few calls a month but really wanted unlimited data so I looked down the list of plans and went for the sim only 12 month - 200 minutes with unlimited texts and data plan for £20 a month so a £2 rise per month. The mrs was already on a 200 minutes with unlimited texts and data plan so they have moved her to the same plan as I chose. The only change for her was the fact her old plan was £15 per month and the new one is £20 per month. The new plans mean we can now call 0800 numbers for free which we couldn't do before..... Although we just used an app on our iPhones to make 0800 calls for free from our inclusive minutes so just means we can just dial them normally now. So I have a £2 per month rise and she has a £5 per month rise. But seeing as we have both been on the existing plans for around three and a half years without any raise in monthly price I personally don't see a problem with this slight rise per month etc....
  6. I use Avast for my AV and Comodo for my firewall...... Both free.
  7. I have received a letter from Skoda today but forgot to open it before heading in to work this evening. At least I know what it's about now.
  8. Nothing on the Goodyear website regarding Gen3 only the Gen1 and Gen2.
  9. Also didn't have regen braking looking at that which the greenline cars have.....
  10. Ok..... So what did he buy it as? A greenline or non-greenline?
  11. Not really a 5hitstorm..... Just that people were trying to help you maybe get refunded for being incorrectly charged each year by the DVLA...... So can you confirm what you bought the vehicle as? I notice in the thread about greenline cars and speed bumps you say yours isn't a greenline but now you're saying it is? Are you saying you know your car is a standard 1.6 diesel but that the DVLA say it's a greenline but give the co2 and tax correctly as a standard 1.6???? I'm getting confused now.......
  12. The other question for lichfielddriver is this.... Was it bought from a Skoda dealership as new or from a Skoda dealer / somewhere else as a used vehicle. If it was bought used there is the possibility that someone at some point has badged a normal 1.6 diesel as a greenline to make it more desirable.
  13. The import question is another very important issue. I think only Skoda UK would be able to answer that definitively.
  14. Is it the original dealer who tells the DVLA what the car is etc at first registration? Or is it Skoda UK? Or is it done some other way? Whichever way if it is badged as a greenline and was sold as a greenline someone has messed up big time and surely you would be inline for refunds for each year you have had the car.
  15. Hmmmm everything I can see says co2 is 114g/km for the 1.6 greenline and 130g/ km for the standard 1.6. Take a look at pages 8, 9 and more specifically 10 of this Skoda Superb brochure..... http://www.johnmulhollandmotors.com/uploads/pdf/1319799473--brochure_superb.pdf Either you don't have a greenline..... Or if you do you're paying too much road tax..... I'm assuming it's the second of those as the greenline badges on the car would discount the first option.
  16. I doubt there would be any warranty from Skoda but a call wouldn't do any harm before purchase.
  17. Are you saying my Ellie is ugly?!?!?!?!?!? Petrol is chain I believe.
  18. Just going on what was in the original thread about them....... http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/390997-65-plate-20-tsi-elegance/
  19. There's always the option of negotiating extra mileage into the deal too..... A workmate of mine has just gone for one of the Octy Scouts on the two year lease deal. It was originally advertised by Simpsons in Preston with 8,000 miles per year but he went in to D.M.Keith in Leeds and negotiated the same deposit and monthly payments as the Simpsons deal but with 10,000 miles annual mileage instead. The excess charge of something like 4p-6p was also kept the same.
  20. They are actually a few years old and were actually exported to Singapore or somewhere like that but were repossessed before being sold. Someone has bought them and brought them back from over there and are selling them here. There are some differences from UK spec cars like not having heated seats etc.... And there will be no Skoda warranty with them etc. Also the cars will have been stood doing nothing for something like three or four years. There is another post discussing these very cars elsewhere in this section.
