You are so bloody lucky... My daughter has had a great view from Lancaster but we e got too much light pollution where we are and I've had too much to drink to drive somewhere dark!

2019 Superb 4x4 272 - maybe not 🙄
I had four for a while... Not recommended due to cost and parking space requirements... But three... That's a different story all together 😁

At last, an Electric car I can be genuinely excited about!
I saw my first BYD Seal yesterday in the car park I use for work - looked to be a decent bit of kit from a quick once over and quite good in black. Obviously this was just based on obeservation rather than anything like a pukka look / test drive!

Learner drivers - will newly proposed UK rules become law?
He he - me too TBH - I had a crash 29 days after passing but that one wasn't actually my fault as someone drove out of a side road give way into the side of me as I was stationary waiting to turn into it. Other than that I recall being a bit 'daft' at times...

Upper Passenger Storage Compartment and Towbar issue
Another good thing to try is motorcycle chain lubricant - it's specifically made for high durability in adverse / wet conditions (obviously) and has been my go-to for 'external' greasing etc.

Retrofit LED headlights or LED bulbs
I have an SE with halogen lights. Osram Nightbreakers plus proper alignment has made a lot of difference as they tend to be aligned very low from the factory. I did contemplate replacing the lights with Osram H7 LEDs that are road legal and certified in other countries but haven't actually been that bothered now the OE Halogens are properly set up.

Any coders that could lend a hand?
That's why 85%ile info is the measure that is used.

Any coders that could lend a hand?
I'd ask again about that - as the vast majority of them CAN be set up to record and log vehicle numbers and speeds - I know that for a fact as I've used data from them in the past and have also been involved in specifying them for projects. It should therefore be a relatively simple task for the LHA to tweak them and download the data at regular intervals and get traffic flow volumes as well as things like average, maximum and 85%ile speeds.

Facelift 1.5TSi owners without Towbar prep. GTW question.
Not sure if you're already sorted but I can recommend Ultimate Towbars based in Sheffield (but fitting across various counties including the Sherwood Forest area). They were very competitive with their quote, when I spoke to them in advance they gave me confidence they knew their stuff, I was pleased with the result and I've had no issues thus far.

Cybertruck!
I wonder if they'll get told it doesn't meet pedpro requirements in the EU so can't be sold here...

Any coders that could lend a hand?
Can you get the camera and pi to recognise the car and sprinkle a few nails???

08 Octavia estate tailgate wont stay open
Yep had this o our as noted above. Two new struts sorted it (although it was a bugger to close for a while afterwards... It's a five minute job to replace them.

Folding mirrors on O2FL?
They can be very stiff as the join fills with crud and the aluminium corrodes

the truth about electric cars
For some of us it never went away...

What have you done to your Superb III today?
IMHO all vehicles should come with front and rear mudguards as standard to reduce spray from tyres in bad weather, regardless of whether they keep the car cleaner or not.

How to remove Karoq rear light unit
Excellent... Better than giving the dealer £400 for something that wasn't needed!

the truth about electric cars
Ah... So the European Explorer... I was trying to work out how the iD4 was related to the US Explorer... Which it clearly isn't. Thanks

How to remove Karoq rear light unit
Ok. I'm pretty sure it will be the same as the Kodiaq or similar... So there should be a removable flap or plastic vent inside the boot (behind the lens) which reveals a plastic screw. Undo this and the lens should come away from the car quite easily, albeit it has a rubber seal against the bodywork so might be a bit stuck. You should then be able to unplug the connector and possibly an indicator bulb holder to remove the lens so you can get it inside to dry out. You'll probably find more instructions in the bulb changing section of the handbook.

How to remove Karoq rear light unit
Is it the inner light on the tailgate or the outer one on the rear wing?

AWD Differences between Scout & VRS & 4x4
Nope... All estates. TBH you really would be better starting with a haldex equipped model and then tuning or converting that.

the truth about electric cars
They have done for years... They can be recycled or, reused as is. I used them maybe 20 or more years ago for a yard at a big fresh wster pumping station. If they are well graded or even with no fines they will knit together over time to create a semi bound surface that drains easily.
