The MG 4 and 5 EV and Maxus vans - Game changing cars & vans from SAIC
There's also lots more vehicles on the roads around the world... Ergo there might not be a rapidly dying hydrocarbons to be burnt sector... It might be holding steady or increasing... All I'm asking for is direct evidence of a reduction in the hydrocarbons to be burnt sector but no one has provided it yet... I'm sure you understand why I'm asking as you've asked simarly re other subjects 😀 After all it's not like we've all been posting threads about petrol filling stations closing here there and everywhere... Or posting about the UK or the world using less hydrocarbons for transport. I'm not being funny I'd just like to see some evidence behind the statement otherwise how do I and others know it's valid.

Again not what I asked... The comment was 'hydrocarbons to be burnt is a rapiy dying sector'... And i asked for specifics related to vehicles... Ie evidence that transport as a whole is burningess hydrocarbons and that hydrocarbon supply for transport is a rapidly dying sector... but no evidence has yet been provided, only comments re sustainable generation of electricity...

Errr... That info is all about increased sustainable energy and reduced coal use, or reduced oil use overseas. Do you have any uk based evidence of reducing hydrocarbon use as opposed to increased sustainable generation and specifically related to cars as per this topic? And I'm not talking about sales numbers of EVs. Thanks

You keep saying that without presenting any evidence. Please provide that evidence.

Tailgate button water ingress
I realise you are pretty certain it's the seal around the tailgate button that's letting water in but if yours is an estate I'd suggest a more likely place for water ingress is the rubber grommet around the rear windscreen wiper shafts. They are a common failure on VWs and I've had the issue on my Kodiaq (and the mk2 Octavia previously). Any water getting in at the wiper shafts would drip onto the button for the rear hatch.

Water ingress through third brake light
No it could be me getting it wrong. I think I was thinking of a mk2 estate... But I guess it could still be the case for a mk 3 estate. Best bet is to find the workshop manuals which should be a sticky post somewhere in the Fabia mk 3 section.

Water ingress through third brake light
I'm pretty certain the third rear brake light can't just be popped out. If you do a search on here there are instructions somewhere and I believe it involves taking a cover off on the inside skin of the rear hatch and then sliding a retaining plate across and only then can the light be removed from the outside.

TPMS - When does the warning light illuminate?
The TPMS system doesn't measure direct pressures, only the difference in pressures between tyres via the ABS sensors, so if all tyres are down on pressure by a similar amount it won't register an issue. I can't comment re the rattle but it's likely just two dash parts knocking together so maybe just needs some packing between them.

Hello from Lithuania
Welcome to the forum! Your Kodiaq looks a similar colour to mine, business grey, albeit yours has more snow on it than mine 🤣

Electric Cars painted Green / Greenish, please play the game of spotting & posting here if you see any.
Yeah I think blue and green, or at least some shades of bluey green ot greeny blue are definitely seen differently by different people. Like that paint... I'd call it an eggshell blue but I can see why some might call it green https://www.pantone.com/uk/en/connect/14-4809-TPX

That seems to have a very slight hint of green in it.

That's definitely a blue grey... No green in it at all... Blue again from where I'm sat

the truth about electric cars
You may be surprised on that one... Many people who change cars regularly such as those on a PCP will be the type of people who are also likely to be influenced by 'trend' and black and white have been 'on trend' for a few years now which has probably influenced car colour choice recently too. Personally I don't like white cars... Black is slightly better but not much.

Second row ISOFIX bottom cover - keeps falling out
We had one that kept popping out on the middle seats - I think in the end I realised it was the seat padding that wasn't sitting right at the base of the backrest causing it to pop out. I gave it a good squash down and it seems to have been OK since.

Have you had your battery checked? A lot of weird things can be caused by a duff or failing one.

Yeti owner's previous 'cars with character'
We had a Morris Marina too (predecessor to the Ital) - now that WAS crap! That was in addition to a succession of Ford Cortina's - one of which regularly needed the spark plugs drying out on the kitchen hob after it failed to start due to the variable venturi carburettor flooding the engine...

the truth about electric cars
The battery passport things sounds like a 'jobs for the boys' project that no-one will really care about other than some legislator that came up with the idea... And the data within it sounds like it'll be very spurious anyway.

Yeti owner's previous 'cars with character'
We had an Allegro and its predecessors the Austin 1100 and 1300s - they rusted faster than we could repair them but they never let us down and were great in the snow / bad weather. I know they had a bad reputation but our experience was somewhat different.
