Heater not working correctly
Not sure if the lay it is the same as on the mk 1 fabia but I managed to replace the resistor on ours from underneath by feel with no need to remove the airbag module?

Kodiaq Edition - is there a demand
I'd say there is demand. That spec is probably the sort I'd be looking for, albeit I'd be keener on a manual. What's the mileage as that might influence things a bit in terms of future saleability

Finally got to test the all season tyres!
We've had cross climates on our 4x4 since they were launched and even in deep snow they've been excellent here on the SW of Sheffield at the edge of the Peak District. I certainly wouldn't go back to summer tyres now on a normal car and am even thinking of swapping the Swift onto all seasons (but probably Vredesteins rather than Cross Climates or Vector 4 Seasons)

Ordered New Octavia VRS iV - Help with options?
Ah... Weird (I assume you mean NO power steering?). The swift will stop the engine at anything below about 10mph but has an accumulator so you still have steering etc. If the Octavia doesn't do that it's a poor show.

Why do people hat stop start so much? I have it on the swift and it's no issue at all... It works well and smoothly using a separate belt driven motor generator. Is it the basic starter motor based system on the Octavia that people hate?

Octavia Mk IV irritations: poor LED lights and Auto hold traumas!
Re the lights it might be worth getting the alignment checked... Some dealers seem to set them up to the lower level of the permitted alignment which means they don't have much range (I had an experience with a Honda dealer like this which meant the car was hazardous to drive at night until I had them adjusted properly by someone else)

Scout towing capacity
The brochure for the pre facelift says 1600kg so I'd assume the facelift is similar as they weren't that different

Merry Christmas Everyone !
He he... Been building Lego all December as I decided to do a DIY Lego advent calendar for my girls... So lots of little models have been created and built! Not sure much will get done tomorrow though...

Goodbye Karoq
You wouldn't catch me near an Apple product.. let alone an Apple car. Overpriced tech for those with money to burn IMHO.

7Zap Parts diagram help
Well I finally got the part and fixed it this morning. Doable from above provided you remove the Flexi pipe from the MAF to the egr and have small hands. Still a bit of a bugger though as the clip for the turbo end needs to be removed from underneath and your effectively working blind. For those doing it themselves I'd recommend putting the turbo end on first and, once on, putting the clip on the boost pipe and then levering each side of it onto the connector on the turbo, as opposed to trying to fit the clip into the groove in the connector. Once that's on a bit of oil smeared on the hard pipe and inside the boost pipe makes it easier to push on and get positioned before fitting the band clamp to hold it all in place. Either way strong hands and working by feel are needed whilst laying across the engine bay!!

Bridgestone Weather Control A005
With the cross climates did you put an extra couple of psi in them? I've found they are very good but do need a slightly higher pressure than recommended for the usual summer tyres.
- My Tesla Model 3 - so far

Weird pink headlight
As above I'd reckon it was simply coincidence

Weird pink headlight
In that case it will be a xenon burner on its way out and needing replacement.

Buckled wheel
You've beaten me to it! AP Tyres have been recommended to me as well previously. I've not used them personally but have seen their work on MX5 Race Cars

Replacing Yeti
Maybe I am but just my opinion having had a good look around one. It really didn't appeal. And that's from someone with experience of three of the recent versions of Civic and two versions to the Jazz, which also points to the fact that Honda build quality isn't what it was. However take a closer look yourself as your opinion may be completely different.

Replacing Yeti
Sen one in a dealers in Belfast when buying a previous model Jazz for my mother in law... The new Jazz is pretty horrid to look at inside and out IMHO. It's also a CVT as far as I remember and is expensive for what it is. The old model Jazz is much nicer (my mum also has one in top spec)

Water retention in doors
For info we've had our MkII Octavia since 2007 and it has this issue, exacerbated slightly by parking facing uphill. After heavy rain or a wash it too will drain water out of the door when opened but in in 13 years we've never had an issue with water freezing inside the door and the doors are still solid with no obvious sign of external or internal rust along the bottom edges. I know the Kamiq is a different and much newer design but the above may give you some degree of comfort that it's unlikely to cause issues long term (provided you keep your feet out of the way of the drain holes when you open the doors )

Visually etc. My car of the day -today
Today mine was an R-reg Rover 100 in Burgundy I followed it round the Ring Road and it looked tiny - even compared to what we class today as a small car...

Octavia Scout 2021
I dunno - something about the new Octavia just looks 'droopy' style wise tome... I'm not sure I like it
