Recommendation - don't get Dunlop SportMaxx tyres
Crackinis common on Dunlop's in my experience... I had 4 SP01 crack down to the cord in the sipes on our 4x4 a few years ago after only a few months. I won't be buying Dunlop tyres again!

If you are looking to sell why not advertise on here as there are a few people looking for Kodiaqs or thinking about changing into one...

Photography Thread
They did indeed... And iirc it was due to the shape of the hardtop roof when viewed from the front... It had a pagoda shape to it with a dip in the middle rising up at the sides

EV real world range and cost to charge
You ought to send your experiences to someone high up in Govt George to make the reality of EV ownership known to those in their ivory towers... PS - I really hope @lol-lol the EV evangelist is reading this reality check.

Should I buy one ?
Having experienced leather seats in the past I've always actively avoided it since. Maybe vented might be better but I've never yet found a leather seat I like or can put up with for some reason.

Warm rear wheels - Poor MPG
my guess is that either the rear calipers are sticking or the handbrake cable is...

is this a good deal?
Indeed but my costs are much less at about a third. Our 4x4 list price was 27.5k and we got it with a very low mileage at 3 months old (ex showroom car) for 16.5k. Doing the same calc 13.5k cost over 13 years = 1k per year so £87 per month. I did similar on the Swift a couple of years ago. Ex showroom car that saved me approx a third and two years motoring later it's worth pretty much what I paid for it having checked prices on auto trader. You just need to be careful how you buy and where - and not be one of those people who is seduced by a new car every couple of years.

is this a good deal?
I always buy outright and then keep em for a long time... The last few we've had for 11 and 13 years

Boot measurements
So how come the yeti is 416litres and the 5 seat kodiaq 720litres?? Something doesn't stack up there with those measurements

Skoda Fabia radio code, is this it?
It's been a while since we had a fabia but that does look familiar in terms not 0131 being thee code...

Why won't my Superb iV charge to more than 95%?
if it's anything like other hybrid cars then it shouldn't charge fully - if it did you would get no benefit from the regenerative braking during initial stages of a trip, as there'd be nowhere for the charge from it to go...

Should I buy one ?
Looks like you might need some spring assistors on the back though... ☺️

Should I buy one ?
For those that have them what is the 1.4. 1.5 like for power when loaded up. I'd have thought it might struggle a bit and a 2.0 TDI might be better

Replacing Yeti
Have you looked at a Hyundai Kona? I did a few days ago with the MIL and was quite impressed with it... good size and the interior in the higher spec ones was very comfy and plush (but a bit spartan in lower spec ones). Might be worth a look as they do 2wd 4wd petrol diesel and hybrid modles

New Kodiaq on order since March, anyone care to guess when it'll be built?
Interesting... im just trying to think through how that would stand insurance-wise if, say an accident occurred when carrying bikes on a towbar mounted rack that wasnt homologated for towing... sounds like a great get out clause for an insurer... Basically i cant quite belei e how stupid Skoda were to miss homologating it... the tarracco doesn't seem to have the same issue but it appears to be more limited in terms of 4x4 drivetrains

New Kodiaq on order since March, anyone care to guess when it'll be built?
Does anyone know if this issue has been sorted out yet as ive been looking at Kodiaqs every now and then to replace our Octavia 4x4 but am still interested in diesel and would definitely want a manual 4x4 and would like a tow bar for a bike rack...

It's official.... Its a great car
Blimey... the restart on a vw must be bad then... i know its a different system to that on my 3 cylinder Suzuki is very smooth and quiet as it uses the belt driven hybrid motor rather tahn the starter used for initial starting.

Kamiq automatic gearbox problems at Hendy Skoda Bournemouth
Thanks for the clarity. That does sound like a fault. Has the dealer replicated this and does it say anywhere in the manual to not use N?

Kamiq automatic gearbox problems at Hendy Skoda Bournemouth
As far as i can see it looks like he is turning off wrong... my parents have had autos for years and they always need to be in P before turning the ignition off but can be dropped into N at any other time without issue. Its a safety feature. If hes leaving iin N when turning it off then thats clearly the issue. If, however it is failing any other time with the engine running and in N, for example at a set of lights when the ignition remains on but the stop start kicks in, then that is an issue. That doesnt seem to be the case from what you are suggesting though.

2018 Hyundai Kona Elite
And we went to look at the Kona hich she liked... And the Arona which she liked even !ore but she's now signed for... A Jazz SE... In metallic grey pre-registered in March is year with delivery mileage. Not what I would have bought as I preferred the Arona but I think the similarity inside to her existing Honda swing it along with the fact that she's had two previous Hondas from the same dealer but at least she's happy! It was also much cheaper overall.

extinction of performance diesels

2018 Hyundai Kona Elite
Hi Lady E. How are you getting on with the Kona? Looked at one today with the MIL to potentially replace her Mk9 Civic Tourer which my FIL bought but she feels is too big for her and too low down now. She really misses her mk8 Civic hatch size wise so wants something smaller than the tourer but higher and more elderly friendly... Ive made a few suggestions and she likes the look of the Kona and also the Arona so I'm doing a few dealers with her here in Belfast whilst on a visit... The vitara was deemed too big, the Stonic an old man's car and the c3 aircross horrid...

extinction of performance diesels
With something big I still prefer diesel... Maybe I'm in a minority??
