  1. Bjilt hamber is the best'. Apparently wonder wheels colour (not the older acidic one) also does well in tests and is ph neutral but ive not found it as good as the Bilt Hamber

  11. Sometimes even the vibrations / sound from the speakers themselves and the music being played can be enough to cause vibrations in equipment that can disturb a 'loose' connection (eg I have an external SSD drive that I found was affected in this way simply by me typing on a keyboard on the same desk) - and then there are other external influences such as heat expansion etc. (witness failing dry solder joints that fail as a unit warms up as an example). I'm not saying it's a cure but, in my experience, has to be worth checking
  12. Daft point to make I know but cars are moving environments subject to lots of vibrations. I've experienced a variety of good and bad USB cables that can lose connection due to vibration - probably because of the manufacturing tolerances o the cables and sockets. Have any of you experiencing stutter checked the plug at the end of the cable to ensure it makes a decent connection and is vibration-proof? I only ask as I've had to 'nip up' the metal outer of the plugs on some of my cables (regardless of cost or quality) to ensure they make a decent, vibration-proof connection to whatever they are connected to...
  13. If I was down your part of the country I'd offer to help as my dad suffered from Parkinson's for 25 years so I know how tricky stuff like this, that is simple and straightforward for some else, can be. Unfortunately I'm too far away to realistically help but good luck with the aerial - I hope you get it sorted!
  14. True but the shvs Ignis and swift are the old 1.2 non-turbo and having driven one they are a bit lacklustre. A 1.0 boosterjet in an Ignis would be great as well though and should be even easier as it's the same heartech platform as the swift
  15. Totally agree -a 1.0 or 1.4 Boosterjet SHVS in it would be great and would surely meet emissions requirements (the Swift 1.0 SHVS is 97g/km and is tiny so you'd think there would be a way of making it fit).
  16. you should be able to get a full size spare in the boot (we have in our 4x4 but it has 16" wheels). However, I'm not sure whether it would need to be a different rim size and profile to the 17's that will be on the car. PS - Just checked the brochure for the cty II FL and it does say a full size or space saver spare wheel was an option - so that does suggest a full size 17" wheel and tyre to match the other 4 should fit. The full size wheels were supposedly 7Jx17" 225/50 R17 94W
  17. possibly not- you'd have to try it. The alignment in the picture seems to get worse lower down so adjusting the rubbers should help that as they will push the bottom out whilst the top hinge remains in the same place. Also adjusting them will probably mostly push the corner out depending how the panel flexes and not the entire boot lid.
  18. I think the idea is it caters for all cyclists -be they confident in traffic or not. Those that are use the Advance Stop Line's, those that aren't can go round the edge via the cycle crossings. I'd hate to see the operational assessment for that in LinSIG - I bet it's a nightmare in terms of queues and delay but overall safer...
  19. my guess is the boot alignment can probably be sorted by adjusting the 'rubber bump stops' at the corners?
  20. You could also the The Garage in Sheaf Gardens Sheffield as they are vw, audi, skoda specialists and seem to know thier stuff...
  21. I think i mentioned this a looong time ago but a lot of manufacturers are having stuttering issues with Apple products which suggests its an Apple issue. That Android seems to works fine simply reinforces this.
  22. Prices start at £35,500 before VAT, which is a bit less than the Defender 90 bust still a lot more than the opposition mentioned earlier and will be even pricier with VAT on top (if paid). I still think they'll have lost the commercial market unless those that buy them are 'fashion conscious'... I know it's perception but be honest - if two builders turned up at your house - one in Mitsubishi L200 / D-Max and one in one of the above, who would you think was going to charge you the most for any work?
  23. Personally I think there will be a massive take up of these one they are legalised - clearly there will be huge issues as well in terms of safety / impact on other road users / NMU's and the like but my experience of them in Prague last year was pretty positive
