  1. Having worked in the parts industry, they will make it hard as possible for you. Don't give in.
  2. I don't see why not. If it's an OE spoiler and fitted but an approved skoda body shop and its left on at the end of the pcp. Only the finance can give the yes or no.
  3. I worked out how to remove the rear door handle. On the door edge you will find very small grommet, remove this, then you will see a T20 torx head set screw. Turn this lefty loosen till it stops, the end cap next to handle will be loose, remove this. To remove the handle part, hold it against the car, pull to rear of car. You will feel it move then pull it out and keep going and the forward section will then come out.
  4. Hi guys, I'm really needing some help here. The nsr ext door handle has stopped working, phoned the skoda parts in Inverness, the parts guy knows what part I need " it's a common fault" he said. Had to use a break in kit to get the door open due to the kiddy lock being on. It's scary how easy that part was. What I do need to know is, how do you remove the ext door handle. I just can't figure that part out.
  5. I'm 38, but I like the cd slot as I don't like the quality you get from MP3 or similar format. I always set my iTunes to the higher bit rate as the std setting gives terrible sound to the music.
  6. In short no, should it be in a any car, no. I'm just not a fan of all this assist gadgets, I have a couple of reasons why I don't like these things, 1st, I was instructed to drive by using my eyes and ears, that means checking mirrors and looking over my shoulder and so on. 2nd, the cost to repair these gadgets once cars are out of warranty will destroy the used price if any of the assist stuff is not working.
  7. Top strut mounts could be the culprit, when they go faulty they don't work as they should and twist the spring when turning. Ps, no need to tell us the edition number, it has no relevance to any mechanical part of the car.
  8. I drive corsa pool cars for my job, some of them are corsa vans. The vans are limited, the older models are done by restricting the revs and ones that have appeared in the last year and the brand new ones are done by speed. Believe you don't want your car restricted, it's so dangerous it's scary.
  9. Don't think mrmulti works for a company, Could be military.
  10. Would changing the brakes to smaller ones not void the EU type approval. You can make things better and keep the TA but not less or worse.
  11. Yes to proper socket and yes to flush, as long as the oil is drained by the sump plug and left to drain for a long time and no suctioned out and the mechanic doesn't start Reving the engine to help "get the flush right through the engine". Saw this done once, the engine sounded like two hammers hitting after that. The mech didn't understand how the flush worked and what it did to the oil, he also had to fork out for a new engine for the customers car.
  12. Is the 1.9PD the same set up for injectors as the vrs PD engine. If so, diesel can get past the seal into the engine. It's been mentioned on here quite a few times after the PD injector recall.
  13. Am I reading this right, they fitted the same timing belt back on the car. Or did they fit a new belt, I hope it's the second as you cannot re-use timing belts once they have been fitted and tensioned.
  14. Lotus make or did have a car that was basically a Road legal race car. It only had a half height windscreen, don't think it even had doors that worked. I'm sure you had to get in like a proper racing car. I'm sure it didn't even have roof and no option to buy one either. No idea what it's called though lol, so not much use.
  15. I've been in loads of cars that do the exact same if you open the rear windows while driving.
  16. There's a company on eBay selling the mintex as a axle set. I just got the fronts from them for £85 delivered. The discs were the new coated type.
  17. I'm shocked at the Weight difference of the two car. If a ford has an RS or cosworth on it, I'm a fan. But I do wonder how the golf would do if the drive was more rear basis like the focus, This is not the first time I've read this about the golf. I have to disagree with the write up in one aspect, I don't think the focus shouts look at me. I think the focus and the golf are sleepers, OK a bit sportier looking but not out there like the civic type R and the merc A45.
  18. I would rather wait another 3/4 months for a reliable car, rather than one that has possible issues awaiting to show is ugly head. I can't wait to see what it's official time around the ring is. Cars like this, the golf r, merc a45, Honda R and the seat lean have absolutely mental times around the ring.
  19. I would check with the local court. You may still have been prosecuted with you not being there, due to the time passed. A similar thing happened to an old work mate.
  20. What about stones and debris caught in the under tray.
  21. Chances are all the rads are damaged. They all sit in a row, so if ones bent or damaged they all could be. Striping that front end is a time consuming pain.
  22. As said above, pull down and out and you will see a 10mm bolt on a T- bar with the two cables. You won't push the calipers back as they need to be turned back in, due to being on a thread.
  23. You couldn't be further from the truth. VAG do recon engines, were do think all the replacement golf gti engines are coming from. The sticker is just a build date, not to indicate if it's new or not.
