the oiks are already driving around here in fabias and some of the vrs's

I did buy my Octavia VRS thinking ya don't see many about, or maybe they don't stand out as much... and certainly not driven by chavs......

Maybe the tide is turning...

Lexus lights are terrible, and the new STI has them as standard... or is it becoming stylish........

yes bruv im puttin 38 inch spinners on mine with a 4 foot chrome wing to make it go faster. wicked mate

Chav's are well aware of the vRS and it's potential. C'mon most of them have probably been chased by them and caught.

:rofl::rofl: oh m8 the 5-0 nicked me in my uninsured saxo vtr...

im only 20 and ive got a fully insured vrs :) all paid for by me

however ull rarely see me cruising... too busy workin!

I have just got mine today and Im 21 but I can assure it will not be chavved up, they are very good cars for the price but group 16 ins should keep them away it nearly stopped me

ive already seen an octavia vrs mk1 with lexus rear lights, extra spoiler on the top of the rear window, and aftermarket "fox racing" alloys

They are easily attainable, my friend has just bought a Leon Cupra R (higher insurance gp) and he's only 19, got pulled last week as the police thought he wasnt old enough to have a license.

Also lots of fabia's owned by the young crowd now (im only 20)

It's txt not text :finger:

Just recently I have seen a Vast increase in the number of black fabia vrs's being driven by chavs around my area.

The only reason for this I can think of is that they have seen the missile flying around and thought hmmmmm "me wants oner them"

It's txt not text :finger:

C wht I mean I just can't do it :rofl::rofl:

Oh noes!

I would agree the vrs is an easily attainable car,i was only 22 when i got mine 2 years ago, its probably just the badge that keeps most chavs away.

They are getting very cheap these days.

The boy-racers and local idiots only buy Japanese cars here so my car is safe :D

The fact of the matter with regards to lexus lights etc is that there will always be someone with "NO TASTE" you must have all seen chavved up saxos and the like and realised that some poeple "JUST DONT GET IT" ;)

As with all cars at some point in their lives be it accident prone, high mileage, wear and tear etc etc they will become accessible to people who wouldnt afoord it normaly, just keep my fingers crossed that dont happen to much :D

I have to disagree that chavs are onto what the VRS's are capeable of, and although not a chav i get a lot of stick with the old skoda jokes and "Oh . . . . a skoda" but always have the last laugh when i pass em

I just dont know how they can afford to run em!

Drive-offs, if they're anything like the shirtless, Elizabeth Duke-wearing Leon Cupra-driving pikey I saw last Summer... :thumbdwn:

Its just one of those sad things that comes when any car gets to a certain price range that has some decent poke to them.

It happened to Scooby's long before and sadly its now happened to the MK1's (Octy and Fabia)

I was only 22 when i got mine but to be fair to myself i dont smoke or drink so all my money goes on that with plenty still going into the never enough house fund

I was thinking same a few weeks back but its such a good car I got over it.

Im have only just turned 21 and i bought an Octy VRS, insurance isn't great but the car certainly is.

As for chav's driving them i have recently seen one around where I live (cap touching the ceiling) not long before that one is ruined to.

This is one reason why my mate got rid of his Civic Type R and bought a 4x4 Mk2 Octavia. Being sensible and distancing himself from the CHAVs was okay for a short while, but he went out on Sunday and bought a Integra Type R as he missed the mental V-Tech scream. The stigma of the Burberry wasn't enough to keep him away.:D

civic type R's are bought by chavs but i think the integra's are still only bought by "normal" people.

I know i would think twice about buying a teg ;)

It's a great car, but revving up to 9000rpm seems quite abnormal....
