after some thinking, i was originally looking at a mkii octy , but budget says mk1, so waiting for some monies to come in to get one. one thing i seem to notice is that a lot of people seem to have the standard wheels, or just powdercoated standard wheels. any particular reason for this? strange offset or something like that making it difficult to find different wheels?

anyway, anyone have some pictures of some octy's on non standard wheels to have a browse at? at incidentally, what is the offset for an octy? looking at getting some compomotive mo's when i get one

Heres mine on 18" RS4 replicas

It's not often I'm driven to covet anyone's stuff, but I am so jealous of those wheels.:o

No strange fitment or offset issues. 5x100 PCD and I'm pretty sure the arches will take up to 20" rims if you so wished.

I was looking for alloys but have had loads of trouble finding the color I want (Black car so need graphite)

2-3 month wait for what I was after or pay £900 for ultraleggeras :(

I think most after market alloys are going to be heavier than the standard Skoda alloy so it makes more sense to get them powder coated IMO ;)

Most replica alloys (i.e copies of manufacturers designs) are very heavy indeed. Thats why it can be an advantage to go for top names such as OZ or BBS to name a few. The OZ superleggeras are MUCH MUCH lighter than the standard Vrs rims :D. You get what you pay for.

I have 19" RS8's and lowered on coilovers. No problems with clearance.

cheers for the replies guy's. the super/leggara's look pretty good on there:thumbup:

would be looking at light/motorsport wheels anyway, either compomotive, speedlines or oz's so weight wouldn't really be an issue. cheers for the offset aswell. 35 is nice and simple-same as my mondeo so easy to remember:)

Have a look at Team Dynamics.

Quality might not be as good as OZ etc but still a good quality brand

I think the OEM alloys are just to eveyones taste and look great in whatever grey to black shade.

If only they did them in 18's. Mmmmmmmmm

Love the OZ wheels Octavia VRS! I want your car!
