and the only clutch capable of handling that sort of power is the spec stage 3+ and billet ally flywheel,please have a ride in one which has this mod(ie mine or jasons)as there is probably a really good,noisey,really bad in traffic,and vibrations that will knock your teeth out,reason we are the only idiots with this setup,there are quite a few on here who have ridden in and seen one or both cars,if you are going to the extremes of power then do beware there is a real compromise on comfort,noise and vibration levels,and they are also a real pain in traffic:thumbup:

i got that clutch/flywheel combo in my Octavia. I thinks its very good, smooth and light. A little bit notchy in traffic but worth the gains. Bloody noisy like you say tho

i've got teh same clutch adn flywheel bolted onto my engine too, shame the engien isn't in the car yet, its still waiting for some more bits :(

Can I Just Check Garry, the Fly wheel and clutch combi yourself and benji are mentioning i notice you both have Petrol 1.8t Vrs's, is this the same set up as a Vrs Fabi Oilburner?

Theres an already done up 05 reg one on ebay for much cheapness.

Buy that and save 3/4k pounds

Also for 230 bhp a Helix and SMF is fine

Scotty. Im afriad i cant confirm if the 1.8t one and PD130 clutch flywheel are the same. I would expect them to be different tho being different engines and gearboxes but someone may come along and correct me

I should imagine that the drive and caracteristics are the same for the Spec stage 3 clutch no matter what car its fitted to tho, as they are both converting from DMF to SMF.

Cheers Garry- think i got abit confused with all this uber helpfull info am getting.

gary has a 1.9d and i have a 1.8t, same clutch and flywheel as we have the same gearbox all be it mine has a third output and shorter ratios

i believe the difference between mine and Garry c's car is his is petrol,using the billet ally smf in the diesel is what creates the discomfort:thumbup:

Oh and the dogbone mount is a little harsh:D
