he is a complete idiot. he is very image consious, Dreadlocks and trousers half way down his ar$e. Basically if you don't drive a BMW you haven't made anything of yourself. He is from a small village in Jamaca and one of his aims in life was to buy a BMW when he had a sucessful career.

Fair enough he has detemination and is hard working but a BMW is not the be all and end all. He talks about them as if nothing else in the world is worth bothering with. I love my car and can't see me moving away from Skoda's as they offer me what I need from a car and his BMW obviously gives him what he needs from his car but everone needs something that suits them and a 2 seater rear wheel drive sports car is no good for someone who has just past their driving test who has children to transport around. But it isn't just his bad advise that irritated me but his attitude towards other people who don't drive BMW's and they wonder why they get tarnished with a bad image.

I agree with what some of you have been saying about it not just being BMW drivers but Audi and VW drivers are just as bad but there does seem to be a trend there (all german cars), why are german cars deemed to be the only that give people an ego boost which is what this guy at work is on

And your point is? NCAP ratings are meaningless except as a comparison between new cars, because they always de-rate cars arbitrarily when they uprate their standards. If you want a meaningful crashworthiness test, check out the Swedish Folksam ratings!

Re-reading the OP this guy sounds like he doesn't know what he is on about.

Having a Veyron won't make you the safest driver in the world just because it is the fastest. It prob would make you drive it carefully thanks to it being rare, hugely expensive to buy and run too!!!

I just tend to let idiotic remarks like that pass and let them learn for themselves.
