Not me but wouldn't it be cool if Skoda entered a car in the BTCC!

btcc started in april

I prefered the good 'ol days of the 'Auto Trader BTCC'

when it was john cleland, tim harvey alain menu, joe winkelhock, steve soper, gabrieli tarquini

Touring cars now have lost it a bit compared to then IMO

stil good to watch tho

I meant back after the 1 Month break.

The BTCC has lost a bit of the good old days but its getting back!!

It used to be awesome when you had all those different cars plus the drivers.

Rydell, Tarquini, Menu and Thompson are in the WTCC now I think.

Soper and smokin Joe retired.

I don't know what happened to Bintcliff and Biela though

oh ok sorry,

im a big fan of btcc but i think there should be bigger variety of manufacturers entering

I'm not going but all the whole days racing is shown on ITV4 so that's where I will be

This weekend I'll be watching it on ITV 4 but I'll be at Oulton Pk on the 27th!

Silverstone looks like a good place to go

Free parking and open paddock

:holmes: hmmmm

I've just watched the first two races - all good stuff , especially the first half of the second race. What's it like to spectate at Snetterton? Good view of the track?

I'll be at Oulton Park as well. I enjoyed it last year

I'll see you on the 27th!!! :D I've no idea what to expect or what time to get there yet.

Saw the races yesterday.

Glad they didnt show the Carrera cup but we missed the crash that damaged the barrier.

Gio shows his metal by overtaking on the outside

Mat Jackson was unlucky after nudging Matt Neal then almost getting nuidged right off the track himself!!! He had a superb 3rd race though.

Andrew Jordan didnt have too good a time either.

The Seats stormed in the first races but then were problematic on the 3rd unfortunatly.

Am looking forward to the 27th though!!

Glad they didnt show the Carrera cup...

It's not the most exciting series is it ;):D

It was a shame that both the Seats had the same serious problems in the third race.

As SWMBO said, "Giovanardi must have put water in their diesel"

What are the facilities like?

Am planning on taking butties and some snacks to munch whilst watching the racing if thats allowed or will there be burger vans and stuff there?

There's all the usual burger vans and so on , but absolutely no issues with taking your own food.

There are always people with folding chairs , huge picnic bags and even small camping stoves sat on the bank on the outfield overlooking the west side of the track.

Thanks Doctor!!!

Not been since it was the good old Autotrader, went to Brands every year without fail as a kid living down in Kent.

Time i introduced my monster me thinks... or is 2 too young to go watch the brum brums? Gotta figure out where the nearest one to me is now.

It's never too young to take take them, the earlier they're hooked the better ;) Every race day I've been to there's been loads of toddlers though it'll be a good idea to invest in some ear defenders as it may be too loud for them.

I suppose the nearest one to you would be Silverstone on the 31st Aug. Ticket prices include covered grandstand seating as well. Bonus!

Yea - pitty I've already booked his birthday party for that day or i'd have scrapped the bouncy castle and taken him and his best mate to the brums for the day. Humm, maybe start on a smaller scale and see whats happening at Castle Combe

What an awesome day.Got there a bit late, but saw the first race when Plato just flew from 1st. The noise, atmosphere is fantastic.Saw a number of Skodas inc one Favorit but no Brisky stickered ones one had a marshal sticker on though.Didn't see a pink decapodian alien fly off with Fry, Leela and Bender either.Recorded the races but wanna go see more races now!

correcting mistakes

I didn't make it in the end due to a lack of babysitter. :(

I've watched the first two races and have saved the third for tonight.

Looks like a good day though - the weather was great

I was looking for an Octavia on the back of an AA truck with a failed turbo tooo!!

It was an awesome day even saw young Andrew Jordan chatting up some ladies outside his trailer in the pits.

Will be watching the races tonight as Media Centre recorded it this time!!!

Didnt see where Plato calls Chilton an amateur (sure I read that somewhere)

But the commentator said Chilton caused trouble then ended with that big prang at the 3rd race!

But thats the BTCC, its what made the 1990s so exciting and competitive.

Saw the big Clio cup crash. oooh that looked harsh on a few racers!
