Looks like a good race! Far more going on than in F1

I was there but whilst in the paddock and walking round didnt see why 2 support races got red flagged.

Got home and found out someone had shut my laptop off which was meant to record all 6 hours of BTCC action.

Well gutted, even though I got autographs I need to see all the action

Did anyone else record it?

They red flagged the Ginetta G50 race because two of them had a massive crash really nasty with both of them going to hospital, then a clio when off and hit the wall and then the ginetta juniors had a three car crash

ITV now replay all races inc support ones on the itv player for a certain amount of time which was lucky!!!

But I've sorted my laptop *hopefully* so Croft should record

I read about the new rules, does this mean the rear driving BMWs will be phased out?

with the new rulings, the BMW's will be phased out, yes. As well as the Civic's, as they aren't long enough...probably the Leon's as well.

I'm guessing they want more Saloon cars in there like the mid 90's season.

Finished watching the Croft races and gotta say it was dramatic!!!

Race 1 Neal and Vaulkhard going side by side that ended badly, and what happened to Mat Jackson

Race 2 Turkington does it again.

Race 3 Gio driving all out and going outside of Thommo (was it where Neal and Vaulkhard clashed?) that was incredible driving from two of the best drivers!! nailbiting stuff!!! even if most of it was under the safety car. God to see Gio actually having to fight to win. Great stuff.

Dave Pinkney aquaplaned and did Plato get a telling off for punting Matt Neal off.

Mark Proctor has now retired from the Ginetta G50s and Breeze is still recovering, he crashed out at Croft too but nothing as serious like Oulton Park.

Stephen Jelley drove well to get on the podium 3 times in that day.

.......nowt changed there so. Thought he was a little heavy handed with Neal.

Watched it last night on the ITV player, some good racing.

Yeah that was a tad unfair to Matt Neal punting him off like that but those 2 always seem to clash at one point!!! LOL Great stuff though.

But I gotta say I was almost biting my nails at Gio's move on the outside, any other driver wouldnt have given him the room and prob put him on the grass.

I've said to my brother that we're going Rockingham, Silverstone and Brands since I was a tight sod and didn't take him to Oulton Park. Plus he's done well in his exams this year so might as well show him the cars and grid girls

I saw all of race 1, fantastic stuff and Gordon Sheddon is back!!!!

absolutely cracking day yesterday, speaking as someone who has ties with Team Sunshine.co.uk!

To see Paul O'Neill take 3rd in the first race was awesome, and it showed how much it meant to him on the TV coverage..it was even more emotional seeing it from 3 ft away and being with the team.

Can't wait for Knockhill now

O'Neil drove superbly at least he got his place back after braking hard for that late safety car.

Gio was on fire!! he was gunning for the wins!!

Plato looked like he got just deserts for punting ff Turkington after Jordan punted him off!!!

Same here...making the trip up on friday and coming back on monday. only 7.5 hours

Im marshalling the BTCC at knockhill, so will be taking the furby round the track, cause weve all got to park in the middle of the circuit due to the amount of spectator cars coming.

If anyone is there that early and wants to get there camera out, ide love a pic of the furby going going down the dip, lol.

Hopefully there will be some good racing, wasn't brilliant last year, will hopefully be marshalling at the dip as well so bound to get a few offs to keep me busy. And theres the bonus of not having to pay £25 entry!

I'll see what I can do....but I cant guarantee....I will probably be there for about 8-8.30....but have never been to Knockhill before, so no idea on places to stand etc. I'll probably be there on the saturday as well, so will try and suss the track out!
