Retro Fit A Maxidot

Featured Replies

I have had my Octy 10 months and can't see that I will be changing my car for a few years. Is it:

1. Possibile to fit a Maxidot as an after sales item.?

2. Worth fitting one if I am planning to keep my car?

3 Very expensive to do?

Your replys will be appriciated.

Cheers

Ray

2. Yes

3. Yes-ish

I did this with my Octi, and I'd thoroughly recommend it. VrsStu did a group buy for the new dash units. I don't know if that was a one off or not. Might be worth asking the question.

yes worth it mate.

Had mine done by VRSTu and definately worth it, cost was £200 plus fitting.

Is it model specific? as i have an Ambient.

Not really, most of the TDi's have been upgraded with vRS TDi inserts. There are a couple of pictures of Manny's one on here somewhere.

Indeed, my TDi Elegance has the vRS TDi insert as Stu mentioned. Stu did mine nearly 12 months ago now.

I only wish the mileage was still that low, now getting on got 57K.

Well - you can always change back to the original instrument ;-)
