Recently a Nissan garage about a quarter of a mile away from my house went out of business, the building has recently been taken over by a specialist garage and here's his current stock list:

Paul Cummings Specialist Cars - Vehicles Avaliable

The area I live in isn't exactly footballer country so I don't hold out much hope of him being open for more than a year :(

I'll have this one:

Paul Cummings Specialist Cars - Vehicle Details

And i'll drive everywhere with my suit jacket sleeves rolled up

People who buy mega expensive cars often don't care where the dealer is as they just send their fleet manager to purchase the vehicle.

I know a chap who sells cars from his house to the tune of 250k sometimes as well as the more bread and butter 40k BMWs and what not.

I bought the my old Boxster from a car from a porsche specialist, and they were located in a strange place. Driving past on the main road you wouldnt even know they were there.

On the way to work, if I take a small detour then slap bang in the middle of a housing estate is a Ferrari/Maseratti dealer with several hundred K's worth of cars on the forecourt, how they dont get damaged I wonder as its not in the most popular of areas.

You might never know it might last longer than expected. We have a merc garage up by me, been there for years now,it's in a ideal location but I never see any one buying a car there, all I see is the wee kids breaking badges off and filling up their water balloons with the tap outside the garage.

There is a nice specialist car garage in stoke poges in bucks which have some amazing cars there, funny place to have it in a wee village through.

These days people looking for these type of cars tend to trawl the net for what they want & location isnt as critical as it is for the lower end of the market who rely more on passing trade

Regarding the location, 2 years ago I had to visit a number of these high value outlets and repair shops - mainly Ferrari - and was gobsmacked at where they were. They included converted farm outbuildings, industrial units, hangar on former airfield and similar.

When I expressed surprise at one location, I was told "Well, the prospect doesn't come here, we take it to them"

I guess if you're spending £100K plus you get that level of service.
