well I say birtley its actually chester-le-street but right on the border between Co.Durham and Tyne&Wear, I'm getting my car from Philip Wilks in Durham

If you want a really shiny swirl-free finish, ditch the autoglym - mine was autoglymed by the dealer and it was a real mess in strong sunshine

Meguiars or Zymol cleaner wax is far far better

And proper Zymol/Swissol etc is in a different league also, but expensive;

hmm, always been very impressed with auto glym and I always do it by hand so no swirls, although your car is very very very shiney

on another note how much were the octy alloys?

I think the real test for black cars is to stand well back on a sunny day and look at your car from different angles - if it looks good then cool , but mine was awful - very smeary/swirly

Just to confuse you, Birtley's postal address is Co. Durham, but it is "looked after" by Gateshead council :P
