i'm need to fabricate some sort of airbox, what i'm going to do is use a big cone style filter with some ducting, then have that coming down to the front left where the oe airbox goes, and use the standard cold air feed, then kind of make a 'box' to go around it to keep the warm air from the engine bay out of it

a bit like this

ok, i'll have a look under the bonnet and see what can be done. wont be till monday cuz i'm off on camp (again) but should be able to make something.

when you have all the kit, evan the most rushed bodge job looks more pro than what most people spend hours making at home.

ed, do you reckon your cnc punches could make these from 6mm ally?? i'm not 100% sure of the capabilities of punching machines

will ask tomorrow.

is this for the intake? is so would you be happy with 5mm as there is a much better chance of me having some kicking around.

yeah 5mm is just as good, it's for the intake manifold plenum

cheers ed
