Another new Furby vRS owner!

Featured Replies

Hi all, after viewing Briskoda for several months and reading Steve Cropley's comments re the Fabia vrs in Autocar a couple of weeks ago, he reckons its the 'most-liked' long term car on the fleet, I bought a silver one last week without even a test drive.

I have not been disapointed it is probably the best car I have owned and that includes 2 porsches and a brabus merc! My only real concern apart from when to do the Jabba or Revo thing is the braking. Despite 'running-in' speeds I have twice had problems stopping at t-junctions, unless the pads/discs need more bedding-in, I will have to upgrade soon to get any confidence using the available performance. Has anyone looked at Blueflame's rotordisc (www.blueflameperformance.com)? It looks like it may give better feel and fade prevention whilst looking pretty good too. I was quoted about

The brakes certainly can be an issue with prolonged applications.

Best and cheapest mod you can do is fit a set of 312mm discs and calipers from the Octavia vRS (or Audi TT/S3. FourMo Golf etc). There is a how to thread on here if you do a search.

I've got the Milltek and sports cat on my Fabia, it doesnt offer much in final bhp figures but what is does do is allow the turbo to spin up much quicker releasing more potentail :). blueflame exhausts I believe are available thru Jabbasport, there is a group buy for the Fabia going on right now, again do a search. Im sure you may be tempted by a remap so get one done while your there :)

Welcome to the site anyhow, great choice on the car...enjoy.

Hi and thanks for that I will check out the group buys asap. Still like the look of those rotordisks though, how about octavia calipers and 312mm rotordisks!

312mm brakes make a HUUUGE difference with braking performance, even more so with a decent set of pads like the ds2500 :)

i did consider going for xdrilled/grooved discs, but decided its a bit too OTT for my needs.

besides 312s look great behind standard wheels...

HERES the thread on the how2... ooo, nice car that

Welcome.
